A Little Red Postbox

It's time for our next Christmas challenge at Outlawz (check it out here).  You can make anything you like as long as its Christmassy :)

I've used one of my own images Christmas Post Box for this one, inspired by a trip up to the Lake District where we saw a post box like this in a wall!

I've coloured the image with Copics and just added a wooden sentiment from Hobby Craft.

Totally Christmas

 Yes this year I've joined the new team at Outlawz for our Christmas Challenge, hopefully so I'm more prepared for the season rather than running round last minute making Christmas cards!

This is my creation for our second challenge (check it out here).  You can make anything you like as long as its Christmassy :)

I've used an image from All Dressed Up called Snowman Hugs.  I've coloured the image with Copics, then added some embossing enamel for more snow!

I've used some design paper from my stash to match the snowman's scarf.  Also used a tiny Merry Christmas wooden sentiment from Hobby Craft.  Thanks for popping by, hopefully see you at the challenge :)

Mechanical

I'm a little late posting this for the first Wednesday of the month which means its time for our Outlawz Sketch challenge.  Life is a little crazy at the moment!

We've no sponsor this month, so I've chosen to use one of mu own images called Mechanical.  I've had this colouring on the go for quite a while.  When this sketch came up, I thought perfect opportunity to get it finished :)

Hippo Birthday

March Outlawz Sketch Challenge

The image has been coloured with Copics and I've added some embossing enamel for snow.

These are our hints for March.

I've gone a different way with this one.  Concentrating on the greens for my Christmas card and I've used some star design paper from Lily of the Valley.

I've also used some black card for matting and a wooden Merry Christmas sentiment from Hobby Craft.

February Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Its the first Wednesday of the month which means its time for our Outlawz Sketch challenge.

We've no sponsor this month so its a free for all on what we create with :)

I've chosen to use Kraftin Kimmie's Nerds - Robot Boy.

He's been coloured with Copics, then cut with a Spellbinders die.  The edges of the image have been distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink from Tin Holtz.  I've then matted it onto some black card cut with another Spellbinders card.

These are our sketch hints for February.

My design paper is some scrapbooking paper I've had in my stash forever, so long I can't even remember who it's by.  It came as a Steampunk set.

The sentiment is made up from Tim Holtz stickers and wooden chipboard.

January Outlawz Sketch Challenge

The image has been coloured with Copics then fussy cut.

I've used a circle (cut with a Spellbinders die) some leaves (cut with a Fantasy die) and the background matting paper all from the same paper from Studio Light. Just a simple sentiment made up from Tim Holtz stickers to finish the card off.

I've chosen to use Tree Topper from Saturated Canary, I've had this image in my stash for a long, log time and not used it.

I used to use this colour combination a lot, being one of my favourites.  I'd not used it for a while, so thought I'd try a non-traditional coloutews Christmas card with it - and I love how it came out!

The image has been coloured with Copics.  The snow was created using white embossing enamel

My design paper is from Lily of the Valley, I've cut the Xmas Tree sentiment out using letter dies.  My only embellishment a silver glitter star.

Cala Lillies

It's time for our new sketch challenge at Outlawz.  We've some fantastic prizes but haven't had many entries, so we've decided the change thing up a little.

First of all let me tell you about the image called Cala Lillies, its one from our talented teamy Anne Fenton, you can find examples of her images here.

I've coloured the image with Clopics, then cut it out in a circle by hand and matted it onto a doily.

My design paper is from Lemoncraft and Studio Light.  The ribbon which was in my stash I've tied in a bow to go with the sketch theme.

Sketch upgrade at Outlawz

It's time for our new sketch challenge at Outlawz.  We've some fantastic prizes but haven't had many entries, so we've decided the change thing up a little.

First to tell you about the image I'm using, it's a Ching-Chou Kuik one, you can find Forget Me Knot it her shop here.

I've coloured her with Copics keeping a really simple colour pallet of green and white.  I've cut her out to matt onto a frame of black card cut out with a Spellbinders die.

So now for the sketch theme, were giving you a shape and hints of what to add to your card, nothing else, really easy we hope :)

Here's a close up of the paper flowers.  I've included and image with flowers as well so both count.  you don't have to do anything fancy, unless you really want to.

Behind the image is a section of beautiful cream lace.

The design paper I used is from Maja Design, and I've also used some black card.  Three black gems in the corner to complete the card.

Coffee!!

It's Wednesday and time for our latest sketch challenge at Outlawz.

This month SheepSki Designs are sponsoring the ladies, so I get to use any image I want :)

I tried to go with images I'd already printed and found Coffee & Cake just waiting to be coloured.  You can find it here in the shop.

I coloured the image with Copics and used a white Acrylic paint pen.

This is our sketch for the month.

I've used design papers from Maja Design and Lemoncraft.  The image, turquoise design paper and coffee label have all been cut with dies.

There are just a few pearl and a turquoise gem to finish off, the sentiment is. woodchip one I've had in my stash for ages.

Just Magic.....

It's Wednesday and time for our latest sketch challenge at Outlawz.

This month we have no sponsor so it means I get to play with images I already have :D

I've got quite a few printed, as I was looking through I found this image called Violet Pixie from Sarah Burrier (sadly no longer available from what I can tell).  The shape of her wings made me thing about the sketch flipped on its side.

I coloured her with Copics and then had a chat with Sandra about my "way outness" for the sketch LOL!  We decided it was good because the sketch is the inspiration  and it gives a different perspective on what can be done.

So..... this is our sketch for the month which I've flipped on its side.  The wings are the banner and I've got her a moon as well for the circle.

I decided to fussy cut the image because I wasn't happy with a single layer card which is what I was going with at first.  I found the "moon" which is a geli plate print I did ages ago, using inks and a flower stencil (I so need to get my geli plate back out again).

As I was shuffling through papers I just sat her and the "moon" onto a sheet of black paper.  She was so striking on this I couldn't get any design papers that has the same effect.  So I made my own star background by scattering embossing enamel onto the black card.

I have selected on pice of green design paper from Lemoncraft to go with the greeny theme.  Finally I added a sentiment to the moon using stickers form Tim Holtz.

I so love how this came out :D

The sketch made me think about photos and I knew there was an All Dressed Up Girl with a camera :)

This is our sketch for May.

The images were cut out with dies and matted onto black card.  Afterwards I though I should have done them as little polaroid photos, but it was a bit late haha

There are some scraps of paper in pink and blue, great way to use them up ;)
I've cut a heart out of the same pink scraps (Studio Light paper) with a die.  The sentiment was made from a Tim Holtz sticker matted onto a scrap of Sarntoro paper and some more black card (hand cut).

Beautiful Florals

Today is Outlawz Sketch day.  We're sponsored this month by Anne Fenton, I'm using her gorgeous image Roses in a Vase for my inspiration.  Been a long time since I've used this much loved colour combination!

The image has been coloured with Copic.  I've then cut the image and teal design paper with a Spellbinders die.  All my papers have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

This is our sketch for this month.

Mu design papers are a mixture of pink and teal from Studio Light, Maja Design and 13 Arts.

I've also added some floral velum I fgot in Hobby Craft. 

Final embellishments of leaves cut with a Fantasy die and a few pink gems.
