New job

Today I have the honour of being a guest designer with Rabisco Challenge.

They have this little cutie from The Paper Shelter called Samrt s the New Sexy to use for our inspiration.

I've coloured her with Copics and then fussy cut her.

The design papers are from Santoro and StudioLite.

I've frames her with some white die cut card and some black card.  The sentiment if from Lily of the Valley and finally a few black gems.

Retro diner

I love retro, have you seen this image form The Paper Shelter :D

I've used it for my inspiration for my guest design spot at Scrapping4Fun today.  The theme is take a break.

I've coloured this image with ProMarkers keeping to a simple pallet of red, white and blue.  The sentiment was printed at the same time as the image so i could produce a one layer CAS card.

That's is short and sweet, now embellishments or anything WOW!!

 But I do hope you like my inspiration

Maiden

Today we have a new challenge at the ABC Challenge - M is for Maiden.  We're sponsored by The Paper Shelter you can check out their images here.

I've chosen to use Purity for my inspiration card.  She's been coloured with ProMarkers then fussy cut to mount onto the design paper.

I've used lots of flowers and flowery design paper for a summery garden feel.

In addition toward the right of the image is a flower arrangement using some chipboard and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Live and Love Crafts and The Ribbon Girl.  Here's a close up.

The design papers are from Lili of the Valley with lots of layers.

My final touch is another small flower arrangement at the top left and then a wooden GIRL sentiment from Scrapiniec.

Start of another month again already!  Today at the ABC Challenge our theme is E is for Everything.  

We're sponsored this time by The Paper Shelter.  This gorgeous image I've used here is The Fairy and the Wizard.

I've coloured this using my favourite colour combination (purple and blue) using ProMarkers, have a closer look - you can see through the fairy's wings :D

The design papers are from Lemoncraft and Maja Design and I've also used some white card stock.  All papers (including the die cuts from Little Darlings and La La Land) have been given a distressed look with antique linen ink from Tim Holtz.  I've also used some rhine stones to add some sparkle to the magic from the wizards wand.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts.

The are some sequins, gems from Hobby Craft and a purple heart sticker from Paperchase.

My silver heart balloon was made from a charm that I got a couple of years ago at a craft fair.  I took the wire off the bottom them added lots of pearl gems to make it look like a string :D

The girl loves red

Happy New Year Everyone - today as well as it being the new challenge at the ABC Challenge I'm also celebrating being with them for a year!

Our letter of the alphabet for this challenge is Y which equals Your Choice - in other words anything goes people :D

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter.  I've chosen to use Mad about Shoes.  Last time I used this image I did it in sepia colours and my friend claimed it (and she can't part with it LOL!!)

This image had been coloured with ProMarkers, the edges distressed with antique photo ink from Tim Holts and mounted onto some black card stock.

Design papers are from Lili of the Valley and Wild Rose Studio, I've also used some red card stock..

The red spotty ribbon was the The Ribbon Girl and I've hand tied a bow.  There are some red and black gems, some red dress it up button in the shape of shoes and a sentiment coloured with ProMarker from Lili of the Valley.  In the centre of the flowers on the sentiment I've used some rhine stones.

Little wolf pup

This beautiful image, Not Exactly a Big Bad Wolf, is from The Paper Shelter our sponsors at The ABC Challenge today.  Out theme this time is V is for Violet so we'd like to see some purple in your creations.

I've coloured mine with ProMarkers and added some embossing enamel to look like snow.

I've used one design paper from Lili of the Valley.  The other was created by colouring patches of purples onto some card stock and then using a dropper to drop water spots onto it. The paper was then dried with a heat gun - but not completely.  I've discovered if you cut it when it's still slightly wet it give a lovely torn distressed look to the card.

Apart from some purple pearlised gems I've used three different dies to complete the card.  The hilly snow and the cascade of stars for snow were Spellbinders dies and the corner snowflake piece was a memory box die.

Lovely Lace

The new ABC Challenge is L is for Lovely Lace sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  This fantastic Steampunk image is It's Tea Time.  I love Steampunk and keep trying to master the style so I thought I'd have another go :)  Practice, practice practice!

She's been coloured with ProMarkers and cut out with a Spellbinders die.  The edges have been distressed with Tim Holtz Antique Linen and then I've added some Stampendous embossing enamel.

The backing paper is one from Lili of the Valley and the newsprint paper is a Tim Holtz Idea-ology.  I had to had cut both these papers as I haven't a die large enough to do it.  How does everyone else do it out of curiosity?

The important bit the "lace" was bought from The Ribbon Girl.

Other accessories include some Tim Holtz Idea-ology cogs, some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some antique seam binding tied in a double bow (I've progressed!) I actually got this from Lili of the Valley but I don't think they sell any more, a clay heart and a resin butterfly from Live and Love Crafts.

I do like to set myself a challenge, and hopefully the whole Steampunk, flowers butterfly thing worked :)

A Little Fairy Magic

Another experiment by me :)  But first I'll do the image bit.

It's one from The Paper Shelter called Exotic Enchantment.  I've just used the fairy part from the image which I've coloured in very soft pink.  She's been fussy cut and once I'd got her onto the card I added some DecoArt loose glitter to her wings - well because shouldn't all fairy's have glittery wings :)  I then aded some rhine stones and some pearl Liquid Pearls to make up the fairy dust she's scattering.  Here's a close up of her.

The background of the card was a complete experiment - kinda went ok (bit messy and I didn't clean my stamps off quickly enough but that's a lesson for next time).

First I dug out my Grunge Corners from Lili of the Valley.  I've had them for ages and hadn't got round to using them yet.  I slapped on some gesso on the stamp (bought last month) then stamped the card.  Of course I had to wait for it to dry before I could anything with it.

I then got a couple of Tim Holtz distress inks and my watercolour pen (recently acquired) and made up the pink and brown border.  The look I wanted was a kinda spotlight effect in the middle.  I had to dry off the card with a heat tool then flatten it (haven't mastered the drying a card straight yet so it was a bit curvy - LOL!)

To finish off I've added some white papers butterflies which I bought from Lili of the Valley sometime last year and added some pink pearlised self adhesive gems.  And some tiny pink and white flowers from Hobby Craft which I bought last week to make it look like there's a blossom tree on her left.

So here you go my fairy walking through the woods.

It's a girl thing

So is it just me or is it a girl thing?  Most girls I know love shoes :) this is why I picked this image Mad About Shoes from the Paper Shelter our sponsors.  The new theme at The ABC Challenge is I is for Inspire Us and we want to see your style!

I've chosen to do this card in a vintage theme with brown ProMarkers and a Tim Holtz distress inks.

The design papers are from Lili of the Valley and Tim Holtz.

Added to my card are some Dutch DooBaDoo hearts which I bought from Lili of the Valley in their shop.

Some pearl bead string from Wild Orchid Crafts and some cream organza ribbon with a hand tied bow from The Ribbon Girl.  Finally some gold self adhesive gems.

Spring's here

This image from The Paper Shelter just "wowed" me when I saw it and I've been waiting for an opportunity to colour her.  I finally managed to colour her this week and have just made the card up this morning.  The image is called I Miss You and whilst not an actual spring themed image at The Paper Shelter I've made her into.

She's coloured with ProMarkers (purples and greens with a hint of blue).  I've then just plain cut her out in a square to keep her the main focus.  She and two of the design papers have been backed with plain black card stock.

Design papers are Lili of the Valley/NitWit Collections - Snow Princess and Snow Princess Solids and Lili of the Valley/Raspberry Road Designs - Father Knows Best.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

To finish her off I've added some black and white ribbon and some black self adhesive gems from my stash.

Mermaid got your heart

I'm still in Valentines mode :)  This latest one I've made using The Paper Shelter image Enchanted Ocean.  The image is coloured with ProMarkers, cut out with a Spellbinders die then edged with Tim Holtz distress inks in two brown shades and tan ProMarker.  I've added some aged silver embossing enamel to create an ocean bottom sediment effect.  Shine had been added to the heart bubbles with some glossy accents and a white gel pen.  The fish have been coloured with silver ProMarker and white gel pen.

Papers are from Lili of the Valley/Raspberry Road Beach Bliss and Santoro's In Pursuit of Happiness.  I've used a Sizzix Garden Greens die and paper from Lili of the Valley/NitWits to create some ocean foliage.  The leaves have been edged with tan ProMarker to add some shadow.

Final touches are some brown self adhesive gems and some red enamelled heart sprinkles.
