Not your normal gnomes

So for some reason I seem to be having a pick or purple mushroom thing.  I think it's because every time I want to colour them red but think do something different.  So today we have a pale purple one :)

This image is called Giant Mushroom, it's either that or these are not normal gnomes and they're miniature ones haha....  You can find the image here in the shop where you can get 10% off all images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

However, if you're lucky enough to be reading this shortly after my post and check out this Kit & Clowder post link you might just find yourselves a bigger discount code!

I've coloured the image with Copics, keeping the card CAS style today to showcase the image, I've added a "me n you" sentiment with Tim Holtz stickers and a bit of sparkle with a few sequins and sparkly enamel dots.

My design paper is from First Edition and I've used a bit of skinny purple ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for popping by for a look today :)

Pearl Wedding

I was asked to create a very special gift, a pearl wedding anniversary album and card for a neighbour.
So this is the result, I hope you like it she does :)

First of all the design paper is from Lemoncraft, they have some large scrapbook sheets which were perfect for this project,

The letters you can see hre were cut out of while card with Sizzix letters.  I then painted them with some acrylic paint.  When they were dry I added them to the album doing a dry fit to make sure everything worked together.

There is a border around the album which is a Dusty Attic one.  I painted the flowers on it with acrylic paint and added some pearl gems to the centres.

At the top left of the album you can see a close up of my floral section.  Added to this is some ribbon donated by my neighbour, some more pearls, sequins, tiny silver dragonfly charms and sparkly dots.

The only thing you could see on the previous pictures were the resin hearts I added.  Here's the full album finished.

So the next thing I did was to work on a card to match the album.

I've used a Dusty Attic frame which is out of the same pack, just smaller and perfect for the card.  The ribbon here is smaller (shhh it's actual recycled from some clothing, you know those annoying ribbon this that are supposed to hold your clothes on a hanger)

An extra element on the card are some tiny wooden hearts.

The sentiment was printed directly onto the design paper.

Thanks for popping by and thank you for Arty Divas for having me as a guest designer this time

Special Day

Today is a special day for me (us) it's our wedding anniversary, goodness know where the last few years have gone!

We love hiking in the lakes so I thought using Valentine to make a scene of a couple watching a sunset would be very appropriate for us.

I've roughly sketch an outline of hill in the background and a few clouds.

The scene has been coloured with Copics.  I've done it as a single layer card - nothing else needed really :)

Have a great day!

Always

Created especially for my mum and dad's anniversary.  I created this card using Ragged Romeo from Mo Manning.  My mum loved orange to I had to do the girl in that colour.  To compliment I've used a dark green for the boy.
The image was coloured with Copics.  In the back group I managed to splodge some ink so I drew a kit in the sky to hide it with pen then added a couple of bird as well.

The design papers were picked out to match the image colours and are from Lemoncraft, Studio Lite and Santoro.  I've also used some black card.  All these were distressed.

I've added an ALWAYS sentiment instead of anniversary, this is from Scrapienic.  There are a couple of tint wooden hearts bought off eBay.  The flowers are all autumn colours and are from The Ribbon Girls and Noor Design.

Hope you like the card I made for them

Otter Halves

This image was especially created for my best friend, my hubby, he loves otters and as they can mate for life it's very appropriate for our anniversary.

Did you know some of them even sleep holding hands!

I wanted to make a CAS card to showcase the image.  So all I've used is some card stock to create a frame for the image.

I've coloured the image with just polychromos pencils.  I wanted to get the effect of some fur with very fine lines which polychromos are excellent at doing.

The edge of the card has been distressed with Black Soot ink from Tim Holtz.  the sentiment was produced at the time of printing.

To finish off the anniversary theme I just added two tiny wooden hearts.

Happy anniversary hubby, I have no idea where the last four years went!

Valentine

Valentines will be here before we know it.  This is the first card I've made this year for it.  I've created a CAS card using my newly created image Valentine from SheepSki Designs on Etsy - click here find the image and you can use code SKIANDREA10 to get yourselves 10% off at checkout

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers, Copics and my new set of polychromos pencils my hubby got me for Christmas :D

Into the background I've sketch some clouds with blue ProMarker.

Backed onto some red card to add a frame, I've also doodled a border with biro to add to the framing.

The LOVE sentiment is s chip board one from Scrapienic that I coloured with Copics.

Hope you love my inspiration.

Just a simple heart

You know when you've used all the images you can think of, I wanted something different for my mum & dad anniversary card.

I found Cat Love at Mo's Digital Pencil and thought it was puuurfect - 'scuse the pun :D
I used Copics to give the image some base colour and then polychromos pencils to give some texture to the fur.  My mum loves orange and I thought this combination worked perfectly so the cats didn't merge into each other.
The sentiment was done at the time of printing.  The layout simply just using some black and orange card stock, a biro to add some doodled borders and a few black gems.
