Thanks a Bunch

It's new release inspiration day at All Dressed Up.  For my inspiration I have a little shabby chic creation to share.

I'm using Thanks a Bunch, a new beautiful floral image, you can find it here in Wendy's shop.

I've coloured the image with Copics in soft pinks and warm browns.

There's some embossing enamel sprinkled around and a few pink pearls.

 

Behind the image is some design paper from Maja Design, some craft card and fabric gauze.  The papers have all been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

Final additions are some string (from a clothing tag) and a sentiment (a Tim Holtz sticker).

Autumn Bouquet

 Today I have the honour of joining Stamping Sensations as a Guest Designer.

Their theme for October is Autumn Colours.

So you can see I have a spalsh of autumn colours using an image from Country Side Bouquet from Power Poppy, which I've coloured with Copics.

There's a sprinkling of embossing enamel, I've distressed the image and the black card underneath.  Finally added a sentiment made from Tim Holtz Stikers.

Lavender and Lace

Today I'm honoured to be a guest designer for The Dream Factory!  Their theme this month is from the film Birnenkuchen mit Lavendel - which translated literally means pear cake with lavender.

Coloured used for the theme are green, orange and purple, along with the works cake and Provence (where the story takes place).

I decided to make a cake gift bag for my inspiration using the colours of the theme with lavender floral design paper.

The design paper are from Pion, I've cut a green butterfly out of some Lemoncraft design paper.  The Cake tags were made with dies.

The design papers were distressed using a Tonic Solutions tool.  I've added some frothy cream lace, a string of pearly to frame the design papers and a tiny resin corner I've had in my stash for years!

A little shabby chic

Today I'm honoured to be a GDT at CRAFT Challenge.  SheepSki Designs is sponsoring them.  Their theme is Shabby Chic so this gave me an opportunity to make a style of card I've not done for a while.

The image I've used is called Alana, you can find her here.  She's been coloured with Copics.

Here's a close up of a section of flowers, these are mainly paper which I've had in my stash for ages.

Behind the flowers you can see a section of the lace I've used.  The is another close up of the flowers from the other side of the card.

the image has been distressed with Walnut Stain ink from Tom Holtz and a Tonic Solutions tool.

Behind the image you can see a doily and around the image I've scattered some embossing enamle.

My design papers are from 13Arts and the tiny tags from Maja Design.

To finish off I've added some pearls and a couple fo silver dragonfly charms.

Pink Daisies

My friend picked a design she liked, said her aunt likes pink and it was her 80th birthday.  So this was what I came up with.

The image is called Daisy Panel, you can find it in the shop here, where you can get 10% off all images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The image was coloured with Copics and hand cut out in an oval shape.  The edges distressed with vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz and a Tonic Solutions tool.  I've then scattered some embossing enamel over the top.

Doing onto the background, the distressed design papers are from Lemoncraft.  The Scroll I discovered I could print from my laptop onto some design paper, which I then added a little extra colour to with Copics.

Finishing off we have some vintage seam binding with a hand tied bow, some pink pearls and some pink daisies.  Looking forward to hearing the reaction :)

Something a little girly for the new year

Welcome to 2020 and the first All Dressed Up Facebook Challenge of the year.  We're going a little girly for our first one with the theme "Make it GIRLY!"

For my girly inspiration I'm using one of the Crafteezee stamps - What to Wear, you can find it here.

I've coloured the image with Copics then fussy cut it out.  Behind the image you can see papers cut with Spellbinders stamps.  I've also used a vintage metal flourish I've had in my stash forever.

Here's a closeup section of my flowers so you can see the 3-D effect.  this one will have to go in a box with some tissue paper when I post it.

Full view of the whole card next.  My design papers are from Maya Design, Lemoncraft and 13 Arts.  All the papers have been edged with vintage photo ink from Tim Hotlz.  

The What to Wear sentiment from the stamp has been cut out with a die, the mounted onto 13 Arts design paper cut with a die from the same set.  The tiny aqua heart is from the stamp set which I cut out by hand.

In between the design papers you can see a section of cream lace.  I've also used some pearl gems to finish the card.

Forget me knots

Happy New Year!!

The new blog challenge starts today at SheepSki Designs.  The theme this time is New or OLD.  Hopefully this will give you a broad spectrum of things you'll be able to enter the challenge with :)

I'm going with both a new and old theme here.  The image is new I've not coloured it up myself before. The old is with the style of the card I've made. 

I'm using Forget me knot for my inspiration this time.  You can find this image in my shop here and get 10% off this and all my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

I've coloured the image with Copics, a black polychromos pencil, a black Copic liner and a white gel pen.  The sentiment was printed at the same time as the image.

I've used Walnut Stain ink from Tim Holtz to distress it with as well as using a Tonic solutions tool.

Adding two types of embossing enamel to add interest, i've framed it with design papers from Maja Design and Lemoncraft.

GDT for C.R.A.F.T. Challenge

Today I have the honour of being a GDT for C.R.A.F.T. Challenge.  The theme for Challenge 476 is Shabby Chic which happens to be one of my favourites :)

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge are being sponsored by All Dressed Up this time where the prize on offer it two of Wendy's awesome images.  If you want a quick the shop link is here.

For my inspiration I'm using Full of Grace and Ballet Shoes.  I've coloured them with Copics in my favourite colour PINK!  The ballet shoes have been fussy cut and added into the corner of the card.  

The image has been distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage photo and Milled Lavender ink.  All the design papers and Full of Grace have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions Tool.

Around the edges of the image I've scattered some embossing enamel.

The design papers are from Maja Design.  I've added some lace and organza rose trim, which I got from The Ribbon Girl, the pearl string was also from them.  I've added a few more pearl gems and finished off with a selection of pink paper flowers.

Beautiful blues

So this is my latest for Fussy and Fancy Fridays, we'd like to see you Beautiful Blues this fortnight.

Sooooo what have I done :)

I've used papers from Lemon Craft and Maja Design.  All except the brick work have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions die.  I've layered and interlocked the different sections.

On top of this are a couple of wood chip elements from Scrapiniec.  Inside of these are some Tim Holtz stockers creating the sentiment.  The card is very tactile and 3-d so I've taken another angle so you can see some of this,

In my flower arrangements there is a piece of craft gauze, some while leaves, daisies, roses and cherry blossoms in different shades of blues and some while heather.  There's also a little cream twine.

There are some glitter dots, some rhine stones and a few silver dragonfly beads.

Shabby Chic Tag

We've a new challenge for you over at Fussy and Fancy Fridays for the next two weeks we've love to see your creations with a sentiment added.

Here's a close up of mine, it's a wood chip sentiment from Scrapienic, I've used a few of their elements on this tag :)

The design papers are from Lemoncraft and have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  One of the layers has been curled back on itself before being glued into place.

Over the top of this is a lace corner at the bottom right.

The top left has some honeycomb Dusty Attic chip board which I've painted with white acrylic.

Running up the right hand side of the tag is a Scrapienic border and the butterfly is also from one of their sets.

Here a shot of the whole tag.  You can see at the bottom I've wrapped some lace around and topped it off with 1mm pearl trim.

The scattered cascade of white flowers are paper ones which I got from Hobbycraft.

From his final picture you can see the three dimension effect of all the tag elements.

The final part to tell you about if the vintage seam binding and lace which make up the threads to attach the tag to the present.

Shabby Chic Thank You

Our theme for the next two weeks at Fussy & Fancy Friday is Thanks.  At first I was going to create a card with an image but I changes my mind whilst making the card.

I've used design papers from Lemoncraft.  They're been distressed and on the top paper I've scattered some embossing glitter and enamel.

Layers of lace from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts have been mixed with a wood chip border and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Noor Design.

The corner and sentiment are also wood chip elements that I got from Scrap and Craft.  A few rhine stones and a couple of sequins complete the shabby chic look.

Take a simple shoe

I started off by colouring Stappy Sandal in red with Copics.  (You can get 10% off all my images by quoting code SKIANDREA10 at checkout).  I was getting some awful bleed so I reprinted it off on Make It Crafty card stock instead.  I had another go and this time it was much better.  The straps however were so thin and I was worried I'm make a mess so I got the depth by using a black polychromos pencil.

Once coloured I cut it out with a Spellbinder die and used Tim Holtz vintage photo ink on the edges.

This card is for a commission (so you can see why I didn't want to make a mess).  The over all look was with autumn colours.  Below is a close up of some of the flowers I've used from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts.  I've also added some twigs from Scrapienic.

Below is a close up of the other flower arrangement.  above this you can see the small wooden heart I used.  these can be found in the wedding section at Hobbycraft.

The design papers are from UHK Gallery and Maja Design (all were distressed).  I've also used some back card for the shaped card base.

To finish off I've added a Scrapienic birthday sentiment and some brass letters to make up MUM.  I found these in Hobbycrafty a while ago.

Pink pearly and girly

Our new theme starts at All Dressed Up Facebook Challenge PINK AND / OR PEARLY.  For this month we'd love for you to use some pink (a favourite amongst some ladies) and or some pearls in your creations.

I went on Faye's Copic Colouring classes last week and this was one of the images we got to practice folds on.  She's called Time to Sparkle and is available as a stamps.  You can find lots more of Wendy's images in her Etsy shop here.

Once I'd cut her out in an oval shape it was distressed with Spun Sugar and Vintage Photo ink from Tom Holtz.  I then added some embossing enamel.  She was them mounted onto pink paper from Maja Design cut with a Spellbinders die to add a fancy border to the image.

I've used someKraft card, more paper from Maja Design and Studio Lite.  All the papers were distresed with Vintage Photo ink an, then a Tonic solutions distressign tool.

To complete the card I've added some pearls to fit in with the challenge theme, a wooden heart (from Hobby Craft wedding section) and a laser cut wood chip embellishment from Scrapienic.

Ice Queen Freebie

Christmas is sneaking up and I got pondering about what I could create with a wintery theme.  I decided to do an Ice Queen.  You can find her in my Etsy shop.  BUT if you're lucky enough you'll be able to grab her as a FREEBIE if you follow Alyce's instructions over at Kit and Clowder :D

I've created a card with lots of my favourite elements for your inspiration.

The image was coloured with ProMarers and polychromos pencils to get the extra detail.

After colouring her I cut her out with a Spellbinders die. The edges were distressed with Vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz.  I then scattered two colours of embossing enamel onto the background around the image and applied my heat gun.

I've used a shaped card as my base and cut some Maja Design paper to overlay it.

On top of this are design papers from First Edition.  All the design papers were distressed.

There's a mixture of white flowers to add to the wintery feel and some pearl embellishments which are actually from the wedding section in Hobby Craft.

I've added a love sentiment from Scrapiniec simply because I love hearts.

You may be able to see some tiny stars scattered all over the card / image.  These are left overs from a Spellbinders label die.

And my final embellishment a few pearl gems.

Things with Wings

We've a THINGS WITH WINGS thing going on at Fussy and Fancy Fridays this next fortnight.

I've used Bumble Bee Blossom from SheepSki Designs for my inspiration.  I've coloured it with a combination of Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

Cut with a Spellbinders die, the edges have been distressed with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.  I've then scattered two types of embossing enamel onto it.

The shaped card has been covered with black card.  Two square cut design papers from Lemoncraft and Joy Crafts have been distressed before adding then to the card base.

My finishing touches are some apple blossoms and lilies.  There are also some laser cut wood chip elements from Scrapienic and a "Made with Love" sentiment.

Summer Walk

Fussy and Fancy Friday's theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes.

It was the perfect excuse for me to turn my coloured image 50's Chic below into a card :)

You can find this image in my Etsy shop and get 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The image was coloured with ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils.  The white spots on the dress were done with a gel pen.

I've transformed the plain image by distressing the edges with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz, distressing the edges and then using white and aged silver embossing enamel.

I've turned it into a summer themed card by adding a Scripienic sentiment which I've coloured with black Copic

Here's a close up of the flowers arrangement on the left side.  There are some twigs from Scrapienic and the flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.

The design paper I used were distressed and are from Lemoncraft and Studio Light.  I've added some pops of pink to match the flowers and coz it's my favourite colour of course ;)

There are two different types of lace between the layers and a doily.
