Party Shoes

This is me on a night out I can never keep high heeled shoes on my feet because they hurt too much :)

I've coloured it with Copics and vaguely sketched in a street.

The framing is done with some red card matching the dress.  I love this colour combination because it's so striking.  I've used a few gems and a wood chip sentiment coloured with Copics.

Thanks for popping by for a look today

Had to be pink......

It's new release day at All Dressed Up.

I wasn't sure how I was going to colour this image and milled it over for a while.  For some reason they ended up pink, not that it's my favourite colour you understand ;)

The flowers Wendy had drawn with them reminded me up buttercups so I've done them a lovely rich yellow.  I coloured the image using Copics.

Creating a single layer card to showcase the image I've just added a sentiment with stickers from Tim Holtz.

You'll find more inspiration with the new releases for July on the blog and in the Facebook Group.

A Little Hello

We're sharing some more inspiration today with Wendy's new release images from All Dressed Up.

After colouring the image I decided to do a vintage styled card.  The image was coloured with Copics, cut it a Spellbinders die, the edges distressed with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz and then two different types of embossing enamel scattered around the edges.

My papers are fro Lemoncraft, distressed and cut with a Fantasy Die.

Behind the image is a section of cream lace, my white paper flowers and leaves were also distressed with Vintage photo ink.  Finally i've added a sentiment from Make It Crafty coloured with Copics and some pearl gems.

You can see some more inspiration today from the Dressy Girls on the blog and in the Facebook Group.

Love my shoes!

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I was a little slapdash around the window frame so I've gone over this with a white gel pen.  In the sky I've used some embossing enamel.

I coloured this image in a bit of a rush and didn't really think about design papers until after.  After shuffling through several paper I picked some from Joy Craft.  The image and black card framing it were both distressed with a Tonic solutions tool.

The final thing I added was a Birthday sentiment.

Battered ol' boots

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I'm not sure if you know Desert Boots.  They're a fabric and I wanted to try and get some of that texture into the boots.  To do this after colouring and shading I used some Copic cleaner and a sponge (a tip taught to me by Faye - you can find her classes here).

I trawled the internet for quotes to do with boots, I liked this one so I added it at the time of printing the image.

I'm showcasing the image today, so have created a CAS card.  My favourite way to embellish these (yes I'm scared of all that white space) is to add a bit of bling (sequins and rhine stones) and  I also love to add a little doodling for framing.

Posing

The final challenge of the month for Outlawz Sketch (hmmm has someone speeded time up, this month seems to have gone very quickly).

We're sponsored by DigiStamp4Joy for July.  I'm using Party Shoes for my inspiration.

My image has been coloured with Copics and a black polychromos pencil.

Here's our sketch for this week.

My design papers are from First Edition and Studio Light.  I've also used some black card.  All of these were distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

The black and white ribbon has been in my stash for ages.  I've tied a tag onto it.  The tag was cut using a Marianne Craftables die, I've hand cut papers in the same colours as the card to get the layered effect.  The shoe is a dress it up button.  Finally to finish some black gems

Hope you like my inspiration for today and we see you at the challenge.

Take a simple shoe

I started off by colouring Stappy Sandal in red with Copics.  (You can get 10% off all my images by quoting code SKIANDREA10 at checkout).  I was getting some awful bleed so I reprinted it off on Make It Crafty card stock instead.  I had another go and this time it was much better.  The straps however were so thin and I was worried I'm make a mess so I got the depth by using a black polychromos pencil.
Once coloured I cut it out with a Spellbinder die and used Tim Holtz vintage photo ink on the edges.

This card is for a commission (so you can see why I didn't want to make a mess).  The over all look was with autumn colours.  Below is a close up of some of the flowers I've used from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts.  I've also added some twigs from Scrapienic.

Below is a close up of the other flower arrangement.  above this you can see the small wooden heart I used.  these can be found in the wedding section at Hobbycraft.

The design papers are from UHK Gallery and Maja Design (all were distressed).  I've also used some back card for the shaped card base.

To finish off I've added a Scrapienic birthday sentiment and some brass letters to make up MUM.  I found these in Hobbycrafty a while ago.

Hope you love my inspiration for today.

Got a pink thing goin on

Originally when I made this digi I was using black sandals as my idea.  Obviously my head thinks pink a lot (favourite colour)

The image was coloured with ProMarkers and plychromos pencils.  I've cut it with a Spellbinders die, distressed the edges with vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz and then sprinkled two types of Stampendous embossing enamel onto it before heating.  There's some back card behind cut with a Spellbinders die to frame it.

I've just recently stocked up my pink flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts - here a close up of the arrangement on my card.  here are also a few twigs (laser cut wood chip from Scrapienic).  The white you can see to give it a shabby look is actually snowtex (an experiment hee hee).

Below is the finished shaped card.  The base was covered with black card (hand cut to fit).  The papers used are from Maya Designs and Studio Lite.  There are also some left over off cuts.  The the design papers were distressed.

My final embellishments to the card are a birthday sentiment from Scrapiniec, a tiny wooden heart which I got off eBay, some pearl gems and a wooden heart (table confetti from the wedding section in Hobby Craft).

Hope you like my inspiration for today

Love to Dance

I'm not sure I've seen this image coloured up much from All Dressed Up - so I decided to use it for a little extra PINK-spiration as Lucy is calling it for our current PINK Facebook challenge theme.
The image is Ballet Shoes from All Dressed Up.  I've coloured it in very subtle pastel pinks using ProMarkers.

I wanted the image to be the main focus so I've created a CAS card.  I've used just one coloured design paper which has no pattern.  The border to the left was created using two Spellbinders dies.

The sentiment you can see was created on my lap top as the same time as printing the image.

All I've used then are some pink gems and some rhine stones to finish off.

It's just a girl thing....

I LOVE shoes - I may not be able to wear anything like this for more than ten minutes now but I still love shoes.  That's what comes from having knee reconstruction surgery, you tend to get used to wearing flatties - LOL!!  Such a shame when you're a tango dancer you can't wear the real deal with the shoes...

Anyway back to the image - I've seen one or two shoes around and used them on my cards but I wanted a strappy sandal.  I couldn't find one anywhere so I decided to draw one :D
Finally I've managed to gel with some digital software and start sketching - yay!!  And the result is not too shabby to say it's (mumbling under my breath) year since I've actually done any real sketching.

So here's the digi I've produced and in the picture above you can see it coloured with Copics

i wanted a clean simple design for my shoe card so I've just used some black card stock and a piece of design paper from Lili of the Valley.

The sentiment was computer generated whilst I was sizing my image for printing.

Above the word girl is a tiny rhine stone heart and I've finished the card off with a few more gems.

Hope you like my creation
