Beautiful Peonies

The new challenge at SheepSki Designs for this month is Embellish It or Clean and Simple.  For this card to give you a little inspiration I've used a CAS style and also added some simple embellishments.  Just to show you you don't have to overload with embellishments to enter.

The image I'm using for my inspiration is one of my new ones called Peonies.  I've drawn them especially for my my, it's one of her favourite flowers.  You can find this image in my Etsy shop and get 10% off all my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The image has been coloured with Copics, a white gel pen and a black polychromos pencil.

The sentiment was created at the time of printing.  My design paper is from Lemoncraft, I've added a few Rhine stones to add interest and bling, a think strip of bright pink satin ribbon to match the flowers and a few black gems.

Be different

We've a new challenge at SheepSki Designs on the blog, this time we'd like to see you create with your favourite colour(s).

I love this colour combination of purples and blues.  I'm using Butterfly Curl today which I've coloured with Copics.  You can find Butterfly Curl in my shop here and het 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The back ground was created using Copics, which were block coloured, sponged ad splattered before adding some black dots with a liner pen.  On top of this I then used a stencil and some Shaded Lilac ink from Tim Holtz.

The image was distressed with a Tonic solutions die.  I've framed it with some black card, added a few black gems.

The sentiment "be different" was created using some Tim Holtz stickers.  The different yellow and orange coloured butterfly is a sticker from Little B which I found in Hobby Craft.

Just Hanging Around

I'm joining my lovely ladies on the Challenge Blog today at SheepSki Designs, our theme for this month is ANIMAL MAGIC.

I'm using Hanging Around for my inspiration, I've had this image sketched out for absolutely ages and only just finished it off last month.  Too many distractions LOL!!  You can find Hanging Around in my Etsy shop here and het 10% off my images by quoting SKIANDREA10

The image has been coloured with Copics, while colouring I added in some could to the background and then doddled a few flying birds.

The image is framed with black and red card stock.  I've then used one design paper from Maja Design in blues to go with the image.

One simple sentiment to finish "WISH" a sticker from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology collection.

Coffee Break

Happy New Year!  Wow it's 2018 hope this year is a fantastic one for everyone!

The blog challenge has just gone live over at SheepSki Designs.  I'm sharing a new image with you.  this one is called Coffee Break - based on me I LOVE my coffee (only I do not look like this!)

I'm still learning with my Copics and wanted to have a go at some lovely pastel shades (of course using my favourite colours together pink and black), the dress has kind of come out ok, as good as I could have done with my ProMarkers at lease :)

I wanted to showcase the image to you today so I've created a CAS card.

She's framed with some pin paper from Lemoncraft.  Behind this you can see the edges of a black and white paper from First Edition to keep with the colour scheme.

I've added some pink and silver sequins, a few rhine stones and then a wood chip heart embellishment colour with black Copic.

Here's the inspiration I've created using my reduced price image Rocket & Rosie.  You can find them in my shop - but if you're not quick they will have gone back up to full price!!

I've coloured these little cuties with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I mainly wanted them to be white so have just given the lines an accent of colour.

I then spent ages fussy cutting them out.

To make up the background scene for them I've used some Kraft card and design paper from 13art onto which I've used a Creative Expressions Birch Tree Mask and Tim Holtz walnut stain ink for the trees.

Under the bunnies are two black and white hearts cut from card using a die from Fantasy Magic.  The mushrooms were cut using a die from Joy Crafts and have been edged with walnut stain ink from Tim Holtz.

Finally I've made some wooden butterflies by using some tiny wooden hearts that I got off eBay.

NEW BLOG CHALLENGE REMINDER DAY

Today is reminder day for the new SheepSki Designs Blog Challenge.  Challenge #1 went live on 1 April 2017 and closes on 30 April 2017.  So I though it appropriate to do a mid month reminder, I also had a lucky winner to announce :)

The theme for this month is ANYTHING GOES.  You can use any designers image, you don't have to use one of mine but if you do you'll bag yourself an extra image if you're picked as a winner or top three.

This is my inspiration I made for it.  I've used my FUCHSIAS image to create this.  I printed it big, huge in fact.  My original plan was to make it a whole background and put a smaller version on top.  I may to this later if I remember.  I tend to have idea overload and forget a lot of what I wanted to do unless I write it down!

The image was coloured with Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  In the leaves I've used a little yellow for the highlight of the light source.  On the fuchsias I've just used the white of the card stock and very softly coloured over the top with pencil to blend to the surrounding colours.

Once I'd coloured it and was hunting around for design papers for something else I spotted this paper from 13 Arts.  You can find it here at Scrap & Craft.  When I saw it I though it would make a perfect background for part of the large fuchsias I'd coloured.  Behind it is a piece of black card just to add a frame.

So off I went fussy cutting, the stamen were a bit tricky but I got there without cutting anything off LOL!

The added sentiment is a wood chip one from Scrapiniec and I've just coloured it with black COPIC.
