A Little Gothic Magic

I'm honoured today to be joining Your Scrapbook Place as a guest designer.

The image I'm using for my inspiration is from their sponsor Moon Flower Digi Stamps.  The image is called La Bella Muerte

The image has been coloured monochromatic using Copics.

A single layered card with a little embossing enamel sprinkled for a touch of extra magic.  The edges of the card haver been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

A little batty

Our Blog Challenge has just gone live at SheepSki Designs, you can find it here.  The theme for this month is Autumn and / or Halloween.

I've not made Halloween cards for ages and seem to have got into them again :)

So I've decided to use a new image called Bit Batty for my inspiration.  It's here in the shop where you can get all images with 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout

The images has been coloured with Copics.  I sketched in the moon into the background so I could do one of my favourite night skies.

The Happy Halloween was printed at the same time as the image.  All I've added is some embossing enamel to add a little star light magic.

Not your normal gnomes

So for some reason I seem to be having a pick or purple mushroom thing.  I think it's because every time I want to colour them red but think do something different.  So today we have a pale purple one :)

I've coloured the image with Copics, keeping the card CAS style today to showcase the image, I've added a "me n you" sentiment with Tim Holtz stickers and a bit of sparkle with a few sequins and sparkly enamel dots.

My design paper is from First Edition and I've used a bit of skinny purple ribbon from my stash.

A Little Goth....

So this little lady has been in my shop for a while but I've only just had chance to colour her up and her her on a card.

Her boots are a combination of some I had in my early 30's and my Doc Martins :D

A little old age tenderness

It's that time of year again where I create something special for my hubby.  This year I've gone with another of his favourites - skeletons!!

There are two different versions of the image.  The one with just the skeletons I've sketched a heart.  All of the image was coloured with Copics.  I've added a little black polychromos pencil to add a little extra depth to the shading.

Finished off with layers of red and black card, I've added a Forever sentiment from Scrapiniec coloured with black Copic.

A little gothic christmas

A while ago I won some images from Stars Stampz, this one is Goth Girl.  I had her printed for ages and deciding to have a practice and play with my Copics I coloured her up in grey and purple.

Don't ask me where this idea came from - my head is just filled and always buzzing.

The sentiment you can see next to the image is from Scrapieic and is coloured with black Copic.

I've used design paper from Maja Design and some black card.

Instead of using white for snow I've used some black card.  This was for the snowflakes (Spellbinder label leftovers) and a Memory Box die.

Yes I know it's not the normal glam / cutie / flowers etc. but if you look in my shop there are a couple of skulls around.  This image is called Duplicity and you can find it in my shop on Etsy.

Today is my hubby's birthday.  It's been a while since I've drawn a skull for him.  I don't want to get too predictable and every time we (him and me) have an event to celebrate I do it with skulls.  That's why there's been JD & Coke and then Otters :D

So I thought he was overdue.  I'd seen some artwork where people had drawn skulls which were made up of other objects, hidden by objects or they form part of it - so...... I decided to see if I could draw something along those lines.  Drawing this I obviously HAD to be sneaky.  I'm not sure if he's caught glimpses of it but hopefully he's been too busy with work and his playstation LOL!!

I've coloured it mainly monochrom with only the rose in colour to add maximum impact.  A rose for my love on his birthday.  I've used Copics and polychromos pencils to do this with.

There are no sentiments with this I just wanted the art work to have maximum impact.  I've distressed the edges and mounted it onto some black card.

He is definitely going to love this one :D
