Angel Wings

Today is new release inspiration day at All Dressed Up.  I'm using Angel Wings for my inspiration, I'm so happy Wendy has an angel in her shop again :)

I decided to colour her in soft pink and grey pastels with my Copics.  Then sprinkled some embossing enamel for some extra magic.

I've framed her with some silver glitter card and added a few silver glitter stars to match.  Finally the Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hobby Craft.

Feathers

Today is new challenge day for SheepSki Designs in the Facebook Group.  We'd love to see your creations with out images, we're always anything goes but we have optional twists if you need a little focus, this time its Die Cuts and / or Punches

The image has bee coloured with Copics, I wanted a very soft colouring for this one, hopefully I've achieved that.

A sentiment using a Tim Holtz sticker and some white acrylic paint spots in the clouds are the only extras on this single layered card.

Silver Angel

 

It's our first sketch challenge of the year at Outlawz Sketch and this month we're sponsored by ..... well me :)  SheepSki Designs

I've chosen to use Mika for my inspiration, I never managed to use her for a Christmas card so I thought I'd use her for this challenge.  You can find her here int he shop where you can get 10% off all images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The images has been coloured with Copics, I've used cool greys to give her a silver look.

This is our sketch for the next two weeks.  I've messed about with it flipping it on it's side and one of the elements.

I've used black card and some geometric design papers.  I've used a Fantasy die for the banner elements.  Finally a few smokey grey gems to complete the look.

Pastel Angel Tag

I've decided to join my ladies for the SheepSki challenge blog inspiration.  I usually make a few Christmas tags for my presents so I though this was the perfect opportunity :)

I was in a bit of a rush, my day just is just eating all my time up, so I chose to do very subtle neutral pastel colours.  the image was coloured with Copic and then fussy cut.

I found some glitter paper pad in Hobby Craft before lockdown and I had a lovely chocolate coloured one.

My design paper is an off cut scrap left from some scrapbook papers.

The tag was cut with a die and the design paper trimmed to fit just inside.  There's a winter themed wood chip circle, i think it may be Scrapiniec, I found it in my stash with the labels cut off.  Probably from another project I started and changed my mind :)

Finally after adding the fussy cut angel and dove I added a glittery wooden Happy Christmas sentiment.  Oh and a bit of left over ribbon from when I was on the Ribbon Girl DT.

Angel Tag

At SheepSki Designs on the challenge blog we've just gone live with our Die Cuts and / or Punches themed challenge.  I'm joining my lovely ladies today for the inspiration.

I've chosen to use Mika, you can find here here in my Etsy shop where you can get 10% off all my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I've then scattered some embossing enamel on to add to the starry night sky effect.

I thought about it for a while then decided to make a Christmas tag.  I'm quite into recycling my old cardboard at the moment, so off I went for a rummage in the kitchen to see what cardboards I could find.  I've ended up using a tonic water box :)

Here you can see the die cut tag.  I've used some sparkly white paper to frame the image.  I've added some tiny silver star charms to the tag.  Finally I found a selection of ribbons to add :)

This little cutie is my Holly Angel, created especially for the event.

I've coloured it with Copics and a black polychromos pencil.  I've also added some DecoArt glitter to the hair.

Keeping it simple to showcase the image for you, I've used some black card for framing and some green glitter paper.  Two tiny silver charms and a wooden Noel sentiment to finish.

Golden Angel

Showcasing my latest DT inspiration for The Ribbon Girl Challenges for you today I've created a golden black winter themed card.

Here's a close up section of the products I've used with the links to the shop items :) 20mm Ivory Rose, Small Blossom Coffee Two Tone, Beaded Stamen Mocha, 25mm Hessian Ribbon, Gold/Ivory 15mm Chevron Ribbon

Below is a different view so you can see the 3-D effect a bit more

The small wooden glittery snowflake you can see here I found in Hobbycraft in their Christmas selection.  There are a few more of these which you can see in the final picture of the whole card.  I've also added another larger plain wooden snowflake (also from Hobbycraft).

The image is called Mika, you can find her here in my Etsy shop.  I've printed her on Kraft and coloured her with polychromos pencils.  The edges of the image have been distressed with a Tonic solutions tool and some Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.  Scattered around the image you can see two different embossing enamels.

My design papers are from First Edition and Dovecraft.  I've also used some black card.

Finally a wooden Winter Wishes sentiment which was bought as part of a set, also from Hobbycraft.

Wings

I finished Mika last week and found time to colour her this weekend.  You can find her in my Etsy shop and get her and any of my other images with 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

I decided to sketch in some clouds behind her and one so she looks like she's standing on one.  The image was coloured with Copics and polychromos pencils.  Only coz I didn't quite get the Copic colouring right and I needed a little more depth of shading in there  LOL!

She's been finished off with some distressing of the image edges creating a single layer card.  A few rhine stones adding a bit of interest and bling / magic to the card.

I've coloured Angelica with Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils giving her a starry night backdrop.  The stars were created by sprinkling some embossing enamel.

The edges of the image were distressed before mounting onto the card.

Around the edges is a biro doodles border and rhine stones - nice and simple to showcase the image.

Pink fallen angel

Yep! I'm definitely having a pink thing going on - this time though I've used hot pink for my inspiration.

Our new challenge on the blog at Oddball Art is Circles.  Don't forget you can get 10% off Lizzy's images on Etsy by quoting my code DTANDREA10 at check out.

Sooo.... the image I've used here is one of my favourites its number 160 she like a little fallen angel.  Instead of doing her in muted shades I decided hot pink would look so cool!  I've used Copics to colour the image and added a little black polychromos pencil to enhance the shadows.

To make to pink pop I've coupled it with black.  This is definitely my new favourite colour combination :D

The design paper you can see here is from Lemoncraft and there's a tiny bit off cut from Lili of the Valley.

All the circles were cut using Spellbinders dies and the birthday sentiment was also one of theirs.

I've just finished the card off by adding a few black gems

Little golden angel

I can't believe how fast May went!  Today we start a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group - this time we have the challenge set at Things with Wings.  You've actually got a lot more choice than you first think for this.

For my wings I've chosen angel wings - this image is Little Angel.

I've coloured her with ProMarkers, cut her out with a Spellbinders die, used some Antique Linen and Vintage Photo distress ink from Tim Holtz.  Then I've sprinkled it with embossing enamel and glitter to make it look like angel dust.

Using a shaped card I've used one design paper from First Edition..  Both the card and the design paper have also been distressed.

Embellishments are some lace from Live and Love Crafts, some golden glitter stars and wooden holly leaves coated with glitter (both from Hobbycraft), some white poinsettias which I've had in my stash for a couple of years now and some earl gems.

The overall effect is monochromatic - hope you love my card and we hope to see you at either the Facebook Challenge or the one on the blog (anything goes with an All Dressed Up image)
