Ok so maybe I could get hooked

Yes it was a little challenging and REALLY outside my comfort zone but I just love how this came out.  Maybe, just maybe I could have a go at making a few more digital cards :)

So I've taken some photos of papers from First Edition, then pasted them into my software app and layered them up.  Huge learning curve but so love the result!

Copic on Kraft

For my latest inspiration for the Outlawz Sketch challenge I'm using papers from our sponsor WeAre3 called Little Garden, I thought the combination went well using the pink and yellow papers with the image I'm using.

This little cute fairy was coloured on Kraft at one of my Copic colouring classes with Faye, it's one of the techniques she teaches :)
I've fussy cut her to add to the project and made her wings a little sparkly.

I've used two Spellbinders dies to cut the circles behind the image and distressed all my papers with a Tonic Solutions tool.

The ribbon and flowers (my only embellishments) were bought from The Ribbon Girl a while ago.

All about the hearts

So I've done something very different for me this time.  The sketch at Outlawz and the papers Bonnie (from WeAre3) has let us use for our DT inspiration got me thinking about a sentiment only card.  I nearly always do images.  I thought the hearts went so well with the wood chip sentiment :) 

Here's our sketch for this challenge

The paper I've used are from We Are Three's Really Simple digital paper, I've also used a piece of left over wood effect paper, with some red and black card.  This one as you can see involved lots of layering.

I've used a double strip of ric rac in red and black to match the theme, the wood chip sentiment from Scrapiniec has been coloured with Copics.  My only other addition is a single red rose.

Yes it's come round so fast the first Wednesday of the month, which also happens to be the 1st so it's a busy day!

Outlawz Sketch are being sponsored by We Are 3 this month.  Bonnie has some amazing and beautiful papers.  AND did you know she also does some images - check out her shop here.

Soooo.... I'm actually doing something unusual for me for this inspiration.  I'm just using the design papers and a sentiment.

The design paper I've used is from the Little Garden collection of papers, I've chosen this one because I just love the pops of red in the flowers.

Here's our sketch for the next two weeks.

Moved the flowers over to the bottom left corner instead of the right on this sketch so I could showcase Bonnie's beautiful papers.  Here's a close up of my red flower section.

The papers were distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  Apart from We Are 3 papers I've also used some red card and a section that was left from some Lily of the Valley paper.

I've used some lace, tiny silver dragonfly charms and a Scrapiniec Birthday sentiment.

Mellow yellow

The image I've used here is one of my own called Jo's Daffodils.  You can find it here in my Etsy shop.  I've coloured it with Copics and then fussy cut it to mount onto the We Are 3 digital paper.

This is our sketch for this week

 I've flipped it round for my card.  The oval and flowers are part of the We Are 3 digital paper which I've fussy cut.  Underneath this is some crafting gauze.

I've picked matching yellow design papers from MyMindsEye and used some black card.

Underneath is some patterned black ribbon, I've used two bees, a couple of black gems, fours golden yellow gems and a sentiment from Scrapiniec coloured with black Copic.

I've used some Tones of Gray paper from the We Are 3 shop.  I've used two re-inkers and a sponge for the blue and lilac on the paper.  Behind this you can see two design papers from Lili fo the Valley to compliment the colours I picked.  All my design papers have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

There are two layers of lace, three chip board embellishments, a mixture of papers flowers and a tiny ribbon of purple ribbon.

Pop of pink ;)

Today I'm sharing a creation made for Outlawz Sketch using We Are 3 Tones of Gray design papers.  We Are 3 are sponsoring us this month.  To go with the papers I've coloured one of my own images, Faye, in monochrome using Copics.

To add a little interest I've coloured only her wings in pink.  I've fussy cut the image and mounted it onto a die cut circle of the Tones of Gray papers.  The edges of all the design papers have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  Behind the image is a piece of black card cut with a Spellbinders die.  I've added a little magic label from Tim Holtz.

Here's our sketch for this week

Apart from the We Are 3 design papers I've also used some Studio Light paper to give a fence effect in the background.  To frame the card I've used some black card.  Across the middle of the design papers is a strip of gingham ribbon.

You can probably see the image has been mounted onto a doily to keep with the theme of the sketch.

The piano key ribbon down the left and the hand tied musical noted ribbon I've picked to go with the musical paper design.

Along the bottom I've used a mushroom die from Joy Crafts which I've cut into sections so the image is left clear.

My final touch a few black gems.

Little Things....

We Are 3 are sponsoring us at Outlawz Sketch this month.  Bonnie has created some fantastic grey scale papers which you can find here.

I've no colour printer so they are perfect for me to print and colour you can find them here - Tones of Grey

I've used Copics and a black polychromo pencils to colour the flowers and leaves.  In the close up here you can just see the blue / purple tone on the paper.  I've done this using Copic re-inkers and a sponge.

Here's our sketch for this week

I've used one of the sentiments ranges Little Things, Friendship and Grateful from the We Are 3 Shop.  It's been printed onto some white card then cut with a Spellbinders die.  I've used the same re-inkers on the sentiment.  Behind this you can see some black card framing it which has been cut with another Spellbinders die.

Behind the design paper you can see it's been mounted onto black card and then some purple paper from Lili of the Valley.  The black spotted organza ribbon was bought from The Ribbon Girls.  My final embellishment are three Rhine stones under the sentiment.

Quick monochrome

We Are 3 are sponsoring Outlawz Sketch this month.  I had to make a quick card this week because I was running out of time.  Their papers and sentiments are perfect for making a simple card look glamorous. 

Here's our sketch for this week.  As you can see Bonnie has cleverly design the design paper to go with our sketch :)

I've used Tones of Grey - Dots and Doily for this creation.  The sentiment is from Special Birthday sentiments.  I've cut the sentiment out with a Spellbinder die and then distressed it.  It's been mounted onto some black card cut with a Spellbinders die into the center of the doily on the design paper.

Apart from the design paper I've used some more black card.  Both of these have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions die.

I've had these black swirls in my stash for ages and though they were perfect to complete the monochrome look.
