Not your normal gnomes

So for some reason I seem to be having a pick or purple mushroom thing.  I think it's because every time I want to colour them red but think do something different.  So today we have a pale purple one :)

I've coloured the image with Copics, keeping the card CAS style today to showcase the image, I've added a "me n you" sentiment with Tim Holtz stickers and a bit of sparkle with a few sequins and sparkly enamel dots.

My design paper is from First Edition and I've used a bit of skinny purple ribbon from my stash.

One of my faves

This creation is for the latest SheepSki Designs challenge on the blog.  I though it was time to join my lovely ladies again :)

Our theme for this month is your favourite colour(s).  Now if you know me you probably know my favourite colour is pink.  However, when combining colours, purple & blue is a firm favourite for me!

I'd drawn this image ages ago and decided to use it for the challenge inspiration.  It's called Coffee n Cake (also two of my favourites LOL!!). You can find this in my Etsy shop here where you can also get 10% off all my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I was very fortunate that around the time I drew the image Alyce (Kit & Clowder) also did a tutorial on colouring a coffee cup and cake as well.  She shows you how to create the froth on top of the coffee - brilliant!!  If you're not already familiar with Kit & Clowder you can find them here.

Here's the actual image so you can see my favourite colour combination together.

For the card I've used design papers from Hobbycraft and Lili of the Valley.  I've also used some black card.

The sentiment in from Make It Crafty.  I've coloured it in blues to match the rest of the card.  I was also lucky enough to find a purple enamel heart.  Its form a pack of sticky shapes I found in Hobbycraft.

A Little Bunny Love

Rocket & Rosie is the image that we're giving away at Kit & Clowder this week :)

I've coloured the little cuties with Copics using warm greys.  They were cut out with a Spellbinders die which I distressed with some Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.  Around them image I've scattered some embossing enamel.

Here you can see a close up of my flower section, there are lilies and apple blossoms.  I've also used some wood chip elements from Scrapiniec.

To the top left you can see a tint wooden heart and a Love script sentiment.

My design papers are from Joy Craft, both papers have been distressed with a Tonic solutions tool.  The card behind it is a shaped one which I've covered with black card.

Some cream pearls finish off the embellishments.

A Favourite Sketch

For December at Outlawz Sketch we're picking our favourite sketches.

For my inspiration for you today I'm sharing an image I've coloured by Molly Harrison.  The background and fairy colouring are from a Kit & Clowder monthly colouring class for Copic Markers.  I'm learning all the time and improving so much with the help of the lovely Alyce's classes.  You can find them in the link here

So as I've said I've coloured this with Copics.  In the class Alyce takes you through creating a cloud stencil and how to apply this to your background.  I've also used a black polychromos pencil and a white gel pen.

I love being able to colour images like this and then showcase them.  The sketch I've chosen is perfect for this.

We're all picking our favourite sketches so you will have seven sketches to choose from this week.

I've used black card for framing.  My design paper is from Hobbycraft called Watercolour Dreams.  I've used some black card for the banners which were cut suing a Fantasy Die.  At the top of the banners are some purple gems.

I've skipped the middle section from the sketch and used black ric-rak ribbon down the sides of the image which I got from The Ribbon Girl.

The sentiment is from Make It Crafty and has been colour with Copics as well.

Mogan's ArtWorld - Challenge 12

Want that cake

Finally found time to finish another Kit & Clowder Class.  I started this a few weeks ago, it's been sitting on my shelf since then.  But last night I had a spare couple of hours before my next lot of DT work.  So rather than drawing etc.  I decided to get some more colouring practice in :D

Coloured with Copics, this is one of the markers classes, I've also used black and white polychromos pencils and a white gel pen.

I printed the sentiment at the same time as the image, it's a Make It Crafty one.  Showcasing the image I've made a single layer CAS card and just added a sequin and a few rhine stones for interest.

This image was coloured with Copics, I've also used a white gel pen.

The heart ribbon and purple ribbon have been in my ribbon box for ages, I though they went perfectly.

I'v also used a heart which if a left over from a die cut from La La Land.

A new Favourite

I think I've got a new favourite colour combination, but we'll get onto that in a bit.

My papers are from My Favourite Things AND I'm loving this colour combination.  I picked it up from the image

Behind the image I've used the design paper cut with two Spellbinders dies to fit in with the sketch.

My only embellishment a few black gems.

Loving the stripes!

I'm honoured today to be a guest designer for Scrapping4Fun.  Their challenge for the next two weeks is Anything Goes + Dots and Stripes.

For my inspiration I've used an image I've coloured which which is part of the Kit & Clowder colouring classes.  I so enjoyed colouring this, thank you Alyce <3. She's one of Ching Chou Kuik's images

The image was coloured with Copics the full listing of colours can be found in the class.

I have a couple of lots of dots on the cards.  The white ones around the image with the gel pen and also my black gems.

My design papers have the stripes in them and are from Maja Design.  I've also used some black card and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley coloured with Copic.

Black Hellebore

I don't know if they're actually classed as black hellebore but I'm going with that for my title :)

I started the February markers class from Kit and Clowder.  Whilst I was in the middle of doing it I opened the booklet version and saw the alternative version.  I was like wow I've got to have a go at those!

I've used some slightly different flower colours to the ones Alyce has listed but the original leaf colours.  For mine I've gone for the BV range (BV20, BV23, BV25 and BV29) I've also used V99 and R59.  As well as using Copics I've also used a white gel pen to highlight the centre of the flower.

I found some perfect matching design paper from First Edition.  A section of it was cut with a Fantasy Banner die added to the top left.  That's it plain and simple just like the other card to showcase the image and colouring.

K&C Hellebore Class

Yay finished another Kit and Clowder colouring class!  Below is a close up of my flowers.  I'm really loving these classes so glad I signed up for them and they're really helping me to get a grip with Copic markers.

I think I maybe could have done the purple ones a bit darker, next time ;)

Whilst I was colouring these up I opened up the class booklet version and had to have a go at an alternative colour!  You'll see that after I've posted this version - I just had to share they've come out so well!!

I've done a very simple card design to showcase my colouring.  The design paper is from Santoro and I've used a Fantasy die to cut a tiny banner out of the same paper for the top of the card.

Something Sweet

I finished colouring this image a little while ago, it's Hot Chocolate and Cookies from Di's Digi Design.  I coloured it with the help of a Kit and Clowder colouring class using Copics and had so much fun doing it!

I've kept the focus on the image in my card.  The design paper bedind the image is from Lemoncraft.  I've also used Lemoncraft paper for the mini banners which were cut with a Fantasy die I got from Noor Design.

I've just added a sentiment Sweet coloured with Copics to finish off this card.
