Pink and black, a new favourite

It's time for our next sketch at Outlawz Sketch.

We've no sponsor this month, so I've chosen to use Miyabi from Aurora Wings for my inspiration.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I've cut her out by hand and framed her with design paper from Maja Design using a Spellbinders die.

This is our sketch from 7th February to 5th March.

 

The rest of my design papers are from Maja Design and 13 Arts.  I've also used a strip of ribbon from my stash.

Pretty Geisha Gift Bag

Our Facebook challenge has gone live today at All Dressed Up and I'm here sharing my inspiration for it.  It's one that should be quite easy if you love girly cards, the theme being GIRLS!

I loved this image as soon as I saw it but hadn't had chance to use it yet.  It's called Oriental Girl and can be found here in Wendy's shop.

I've used Copics to colour it with.  To me oriental hair has a gorgeous bluish black sheen to black hair, so I've used my BV Copics.  Hoping I've created the look I wanted.  I'd originally coloured her with a blue background.  Then my mind went off wandering.  I remembered having some brick work background from Wild Orchid Crafts.  So I set about fussy cutting the image to mount onto this.

hat I've actually created is a gift bag which you'll see further down but I wanted to take a close up of the bag section so I can explain what I've done.

I've used some design papers from Maja Design, both of these have been distressed.  Below the image is a section of fancy lace I got from Crafteeezee ages ago.  Building up on this to the right are a selection of flowers.  You should also be able to spot some pearl gems and a few tiny silver dragonfly charms.

To finish the bag off I've picked a selection of lace and ribbons which I've tied in a bow around one of the handles.  Some of these ribbons and the lace you can find at The Ribbon Girl.

Well that month went fast.  We're onto the Second Challenge over at SheepSki Designs blog challenges already.

This month we're keeping it ANYTHING GOES but next month we will be having themes :D

You can use any designers image to enter my challenges - but if you do use one of mine and you're a top three or random winner you'll bag yourself an extra image!

I've used my recently new image Gorgeous Geisha for my inspiration today.  You can find her in my shop and get 10% off my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

I've coloured the image with ProMarkers keeping some lovely pastel shades to the clothes and parasol.  Gorgeous Geisha comes as three images with different levels of details.  So if you don't fancy colouring all the flowers you don't have to.

Around the image I've scattered some white embossing enamel.  Bit hard to see on these pictures unfortunately.

The image and design papers from Maja Design and Lemoncraft have all been distressed.  I've added a wood chip sentiment from Scrapiniec coloured black.  Added some back gems (including a heart one) and a few paper flowers cascaded down the card.

Spring Garden Geisha

It's the 15th mid month and time for another ABC Challenge. Our Challenge this month is F for Fancy Folds.  We're sponsored by the amazing Aurora Wings.

For my inspiration for you today I've created a easel card using two of Mitzi images Miyabi and Pansy Corner

The images have been coloured using a combination of Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  All three images have been fussy cut to mount onto the card.

I've used a similar shape card and cut it down in size by hand before distressing the edges and them using some milled lavender ink for Tim Holtz.  You can see this better below.

Here's a close up of the flower arrangement on the bottom of the easel.  The flower are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. You can also see a close up of the tiny silver dragonfly charms I've used.

You can also see the pale purple gems I've used at various point to embellish.

These are pictures of the full card at a couple of angles so you can see the easel better.

From the final two photos you can see I've cut a rectangle for the bottom section and also distressed it before adding the flower arrangement.
