Magical

Today is new release inspiration day at All Dressed Up.

I'm using Magical Pony today, you can find it here in Wendy's shop.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I then decided to use a stencil in the background for trees.  I've done this using Copics and added a few flying birds into some gaps.

I've them used my mushroom die cut and two design papers layered in front of the image.  You can find more inspiration on the Challenge Blog and in the Facebook group today.

Watering mushrooms

A new month and we're lucky to have The Paper Shelter sponsoring us at Outlawz Sketch for June.

I've chosen to use A Well Kept Garden for my inspiration.

The image has been coloured with Copics, I've then framed it with some black card.

I've used some more black card for the back ground and used design paper from StudioLight.

Instead of a ribbon and embellies like the sketch I decided to use my mushroom die strip to go with the image :)

For my first lot of inspiration I'm using Mushroom Cottage

The image has been colours with Copics using a fantasy colour theme ;)

Once coloured I've added some embossing enamel, cut the image out with a die and used a Tonic Solutions tool to distress it.

Behind the image you can see a while frame cut of of design paper to frame it, both are Spellbinders dies.

Here's our sketch for the next two weeks

My design paper is from First Edition and I've added some gosgrain lilac ribbon from my stash.

Instead of flowers I've added some fun sparkly smiley buttons, some purple wooden flower buttons, a dark pink glass bead, some tiny purple buttons and a lilac start button.  Very unusual for me :)

Fairy Mice

It's our second lot of inspiration at All Dressed Up for Wendy's latest new release images.

Today I'm sharing my creation using Two Little Fairy Mice with you, aren't they adorable!

I've coloured the image with Copics leaving plenty of white space.

Over the bottom of the card I've added a strip of design paper from First Edition.

There are several sequins and gem stones in purple to match the image and paper.  I've added a wood chip heat embellishment from Scrapiniec.

The section of ribbon between the design paper and image is one of those annoying ribbons you get in your clothes which are "supposed" to help hang them up ;)

I think I may have learned something along the way in my Copic lessons.... about blending and texture and adding detail.  I've tried to put some of this into practice on the image below.  Thank you so much Faye and Alyce

As well as using Copics I've used white, gold and orange gel pens and a black polychromos pencil

Just plain and simply mounted onto some black card to frame it.

Pop of pink ;)

Today I'm sharing a creation made for Outlawz Sketch using We Are 3 Tones of Gray design papers.  We Are 3 are sponsoring us this month.  To go with the papers I've coloured one of my own images, Faye, in monochrome using Copics.

To add a little interest I've coloured only her wings in pink.  I've fussy cut the image and mounted it onto a die cut circle of the Tones of Gray papers.  The edges of all the design papers have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  Behind the image is a piece of black card cut with a Spellbinders die.  I've added a little magic label from Tim Holtz.

Here's our sketch for this week

Apart from the We Are 3 design papers I've also used some Studio Light paper to give a fence effect in the background.  To frame the card I've used some black card.  Across the middle of the design papers is a strip of gingham ribbon.

You can probably see the image has been mounted onto a doily to keep with the theme of the sketch.

The piano key ribbon down the left and the hand tied musical noted ribbon I've picked to go with the musical paper design.

Along the bottom I've used a mushroom die from Joy Crafts which I've cut into sections so the image is left clear.

My final touch a few black gems.

Gnome for Christmas

Something a little different for Christmas?  Well here he is - this image has just been named, released in my shop and lucky random winners picked in my Facebook Group.

He's called Gnome for Chrismtas.  You can find him in my Etsy shop and get him and other images with 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10.

I've coloured him with Copics, I'm slowly getting there but need more practice to get the finer detail.  So I finished him off with a black polychromos pencil for some extra shading.  (I didn't want to mess him up!)

I've used one design paper from Maja Design and some red card to frame him.

Pink mushroom

I'm joining my team of lovely ladies on the SheepSki Designs blog challenge today to share some inspiration for the new challenge for June.  This month the challenge is GIRLZ RULE!  We'd like to see your creations with girls.

As always you can use anyone's image, it doesn't have to be one of mine - BUT - if you do use one of mine and you're a winner or top three then you'll get an extra image.  Yes that's right the top three also win images ;)

So this is Faye, you've seen her before, but she's here in my Etsy shop.  You can get her and any of my images with 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.  This time I've coloured her in pastel shades.  To do this I used ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils.  The edges of the image have been distressed with milled lavender ink then distressed with a Tonic solutions tool.

The design papers are from Joy Craft and Lemoncraft.  I tried to pick similar ones to the image colours. 

I've still a few sentiments from a Lili of the Valley pad so I've used one of these coloured with ProMakers.  Apart from a few pearls I've scattered a few white paper flowers from Hobby Craft down the card.

Do you know I had real trouble with this one.  My image Faye (available at SheepSki Designs with 10% discount on Etsy if you use code SKIANDREA10) was coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

I was trying out my new pencils my hubby got me for Christmas - I was happy with the image but the I couldn't find any design papers in my stash to go with it that didn't drown the image out! Eventually I found something :D

Once I'd coloured the image I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and  distressed the edges with Shaded Lilac in from Tim Holtz.

It's been mounted onto some design paper from Our Daily Bread cut with a Spellbinders die.

The shaped card is covered with some deep blue design card stock.  On top of this I've used design papers from Docrafts and First Edition.  The First Edition paper has also had the edges treated with Shaded Lilac ink.

Both design papers were distressed before mounting onto the card.

The image went on next and over the top of this some card stock cut with a Joy Crafts mushroom die.  I also used the Shaded Lilac ink of the edges of this.

My final embellishments were some butterflies from Scrapienic and some blue and pearl gems
