Christmas Post

Wow last challenge of the year with Fussy & Fancy Fridays - where does the time go.  Our whole team is joining in the inspiration for this challenge, the theme is Christmas/New Year.

Seen as I'm behind on Christmas card making I'm added another one to my collection.  I coloured the image ages ago while I was starting to learn to colour with my Copics.  The image then cut with a die.

I've used an image called Hedgehogs Christmas Post from Di's Digi Designs for my inspiration.  You can see I've added some glitter to the snowflakes, this was done with some DecoArt glitter.

Here I've taken a close up of the floral section using beautiful embellies from The Ribbon Girl.  If you want any of these you'd better pop over their shop real quick as they're closing down and have special offers on!!  I've used a white daisy, a red rose, red rose buds, tiny red berries, red berries, beaded stemen, holly leaves and white rose leaves.  The red faux silk ribbon bow was hand tied.

I've used some black card to separate and frame the layers.  My design papers are from Lemoncraft.  My final embellishment are some black gems.

Hope we seen you at the challenge

A Favourite Sketch

For December at Outlawz Sketch we're picking our favourite sketches.

So as I've said I've coloured this with Copics.  In the class Alyce takes you through creating a cloud stencil and how to apply this to your background.  I've also used a black polychromos pencil and a white gel pen.

I love being able to colour images like this and then showcase them.  The sketch I've chosen is perfect for this.

We're all picking our favourite sketches so you will have seven sketches to choose from this week.

I've used black card for framing.  My design paper is from Hobbycraft called Watercolour Dreams.  I've used some black card for the banners which were cut suing a Fantasy Die.  At the top of the banners are some purple gems.

I've skipped the middle section from the sketch and used black ric-rak ribbon down the sides of the image which I got from The Ribbon Girl.

The sentiment is from Make It Crafty and has been colour with Copics as well.

Hope you like my inspiration for today, thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you at the challenge

I've used some other items which I'll add in below as well

In addition to the chevron ribbon and pearl string from The Ribbon Girl you can see a heart paper doily layered in with my design papers.  The Christmas sentiment is from Make It Crafty.  I've left it natural to blend in with the theme of the card.

This section shows a close up of the flower arrangement on the bag and some of the lace.  Lace is merged into the layers of design papers as well as being a feature on the top layer.  I've also used some pearl gems.

This beautiful little polar bear image is a topper from Marianne Design I won as part of a prize at Kerst / Christmas on Facebook the link is here.

A Mermaids Tail

For my inspiration this time at Fussy and Fancy Fridays I've used Magical Friendship from Tiddly Inks.  Our them for the next two weeks is ANYTHING GOES so it's given me the perfect opportunity to use this stamp that I've have for ages and done nothing with.

The image was coloured with Copics and a white gel pen, the background created by drawing in the clouds freehand.  In this photo you can also see the Hello sentiment from Make It Crafty which I coloured with Copics.

The embellishemts you can see a close up of in these two photos are from The Ribbon Girl

I've also used some white forget me nots.

At the top of the card you can see some 6mm FB Ivory Pearl Trim also from The Ribbon Girl.

The design papers from Lemoncraft and the image have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  I've also used a few pearl gems.

Thanks for popping by today, looking forward to seeing what you make for the challenge

Below is a different view so you can see the 3-D effect a bit more
The small wooden glittery snowflake you can see here I found in Hobbycraft in their Christmas selection.  There are a few more of these which you can see in the final picture of the whole card.  I've also added another larger plain wooden snowflake (also from Hobbycraft).

The image is called Mika, you can find her here in my Etsy shop.  I've printed her on Kraft and coloured her with polychromos pencils.  The edges of the image have been distressed with a Tonic solutions tool and some Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.  Scattered around the image you can see two different embossing enamels.

My design papers are from First Edition and Dovecraft.  I've also used some black card.

Finally a wooden Winter Wishes sentiment which was bought as part of a set, also from Hobbycraft.

Lil Flump Easel

The Challenge has just started at The Ribbon Girl for the October Anything Goes Challenge.  I'm sharing my card here - more details below.

The prize for the Challenge this month is.....

Prize:
£10 voucher from Polkadoodles

http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/

2nd prize is a selection of products from The Ribbon Girl

Mary has used some of these production on her beautiful creation this month.

I've coloured the image with Copics and a white gel pen for the shine in the bauble.  The image has been distressed with Black Soot ink from Tim Holtz and I've sprinkled embossing enamel around the edges too.  Behind the image is a section of the papers cut with a Spellbinders die.

My design papers are a combination of UHK Gallery, First Edition, Maja Design and LemonCraft.

Here's a close up of the inside of the easel card.  The back section has labels cut with a Spellbinders die.  The front section has some Isabelle White lace and pearl string from The Ribbon Girl.  Full details of the products are at the bottom of the post.

I've actually got myself a bow tie tool now - yay makes it much easier.  The red ribbon has a snowflake and glitter button attached with some twine.  Towards the left of the card you can see some more of the twine, holly leaves, roses, daisy and along the bottom below the image is the Rosa Bianca Lace.

I finished the card off with a few pearls and a XOXO sentiment from Make It Crafty coloured with Copics.

Hope you like my inspiration for the challenge and we see you there

Mostly White

So this one was a real challenge for me :)
I find white on white or mostly white cards really hard to make.  So whilst it's not completely pure white, it's a close as I could get it.

This card was made for the DT inspiration over at Fussy and Fancy Fridays for our current challenge.

I've taken a couple of angled shots so you can see the dimension to the card.

As you can see my design papers from Lemoncraft have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  I've used dies, lots and lots of dies.  They're all from Fantasy apart from the circular one which is made up from two Spellbinders dies.

The sentiment was printed on some design paper which I then cut out in a banner shape and taped it so the centre was raised.

At the end of the banner are a few pearls.  I've also used some at the top right of the card.

Behind the circular die cut is a doily, the tiny white hearts you can see are the cut outs from the heart die.

The flowers that can be found at the Ribbon Girl are the Sweet heart blossoms, the magnolia, beaded stamen and white rose leaves.

You can also find my pop of colour, the butterfly beads at the Ribbon Girl.

Thanks for popping by today to take a look, hope to see you at the challenge.

Holly Hocks

This beautiful little image of Holly Hocks is from Anne's Digital Art, our sponsor at Outlawz Sketch this month.

I've coloured the image with Copics, a white gel pen and a black liner pen.

The image has been and cut in an oval shape, then the background paper cut out with a Spellbinders die.  The design papers are from Lemoncraft.  All these have had the edges distressed with Walnut Stain from Tim Holtz.

Here's our sketch for this week.

The section of lace behind the image is from the Ribbon Girl.  Scattered around the image is a sequin and a few Rhine stones.

My final touch was to add the sparkly blue enamel dots and a wood chip butterfly.

Hope you like my inspiration for this week and we see you at the challenge

Playing with flowers, tulle and lace

So I'm sharing a little something from my play time last night, I had to wait for all the glue to dry before I could take the pictures tonight and add the last bits on.  These goodies are mainly from The Ribbon Girl.  I'll give you the links in a bit.

I love these roses and I've never had them in green before.  With those and the white leaves I started having a rummage around my design papers for teal papers.  Overjoyed I found some.

I've taken a few photos at different angles so you can see the 3-d effect of the flowers / card/

Showing a close up of the flower section also with resin flowers, ric-rac and frilled tule

Here you can see the sentiment I cut out of the design papers which says "The flower of friendship grows."  The design papers have all been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  They're from 13 Arts and Studio Light.  I've also used some white card which has been die cut into leave with a Fantasy Die.  The main square shaped fancy die is a Spellbinders one.

You can also see a bee charm I won as part of a prize from The Trinket Parlour.

On the left underneath the die you can also see some lace I've used from The Ribbon Girl.

I've also used some green shimmery gel dots and a few cream pearls to finish off.

Thanks for popping by for a look today

Lily Tag

I've created a Lily Flower tag for my inspiration today AND I'm sharing the happy news that I've joined the lovely Ribbon Girls Design Team :)

The Ribbon Girls have started their challenges again.  They're Anything Goes and run for two weeks from the 1st of the month.  They also have a Facebook Group if you don't already know, where you can see their inspiration that's not on the blog.

Here are the prizes on offer for this challenge

£10 voucher from Polkadoodles

http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/

A selection of products from The Ribbon Girl

Now for my inspiration

The tag has been cut using a Marianne Designs die.  I've layered some design papers front and back from Lemoncraft, some are torn strips on the front.

Here's a closeup on the products I've used on the tag from The Ribbon Girl.  There's a double layer of lace, a flat back pear string, some lilies, a couple of pins and a woodchip sentiment.

I've coloured the image with Copics, a white gel pen and a black polychromos pencil.

The ribbons for the tag are seam binding and beautiful flowered organza.

I've also used a section of Dusty Attic Honeycomb and some white gesso.

Here's a final pic for you with a few of the products.

Thanks for popping by to take a look
