Battered ol' boots

This is my latest inspiration for SheepSki Designs, I'm joining my lovely ladies for the Facebook challenge this month.  It's anything goes with SheepSki Designs images with optional twists.  The one for this month is to use your favourite embellishments :)

I'm using Desert Boots for my inspiration.  You can find it here in the shop and get 10 off all images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I'm not sure if you know Desert Boots.  They're a fabric and I wanted to try and get some of that texture into the boots.  To do this after colouring and shading I used some Copic cleaner and a sponge (a tip taught to me by Faye - you can find her classes here). 

I trawled the internet for quotes to do with boots, I liked this one so I added it at the time of printing the image.

I'm showcasing the image today, so have created a CAS card.  My favourite way to embellish these (yes I'm scared of all that white space) is to add a bit of bling (sequins and rhine stones) and  I also love to add a little doodling for framing.

This image had been coloured with Copics and a white gel pen, the edges distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool and then framed with some black card.

My design papers are from First Edition and Lemoncraft, I've also used some more black card.  The hearts are leftovers from when I used a La La Land Banner die :)

Finally a little me time

I've been so busy lately at work and home promoting other designers images I've hardly had any time to colour anything up of my own.  BUT finally I've managed to find a little me time tonight :)

I'm running a little low on marker ink at the moment, I've not much it the way of pinks so I've some this one in purple Copics.

I wanted to create a magical feel on a single layer card, partly so I could showcase the image.  I literally chucked some embossing enamel onto the card and then moved it around in an S shape. 

To finish off we've a couple of wood chip embellies I got from Scrap and Craft.  Finally a few sequins and rhine stones :)

Unusual for me I picked my papers first, I hardly ever do that!

To match my papers I've coloured the image with Copics in two different greys and aquas.

I hand cut the image to fit inside the die cut border.

Here's our sketch for the next two weeks

I've flipped mine on its side and missed out the ribbons.  Instead of the buttons I've used two wooden hearts and in the centre of these a Coffee sentiment from Make It Crafty coloured with Copics.

My design papers are from First Edition and Maja Design, the aqua frame was cut with a Spellbinders die.

Fancy a Cocktail....

It's our new release inspiration day at All Dressed Up.  Today I'm sharing Fruitti Tutti with you, you can find it here in the shop.

I've coloured the image with Copics in lovely sunny summer colours.  The sentiment from Make It Crafty has been coloured to match.

There are a few enamel dots in yellow and orange to add a bit more interest.

The actual card design I've kept very simple because I'd run out of time (lots on al the moment).

My papers are from Hobbycraft and I've used some black card, both have been cut with a die.

We're a little short of bodies on the challenge blog today so I thought I'd join my lovely ladies :)

Our challenge for July on the blog is EARLY CHRISTMAS / WINTER.  I already had my aqua markers out from colouring my All Dressed Up image so I thought I'd continue the theme with Head Stand.  You can find this image here and get 10% off all my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

So as I was saying, this has been coloured with aqua Copics with a pop of orange for the nose :D

I've scattered two different coloured embossing enamel around for a snowy effect.  The sentiment has been made up with Tim Holtz Big Chat stickers.  Around the edges I've used some Tim Holtz black soot ink.

My design papers from Maya Design Craft & You and have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

A few pearls and a piece of pom pom trim complete the card.

Stamping for a change :)

Our theme for this month over at All Dressed up in the Facebook Group is PEARLS AND / OR GEMS. 

I'm honoured to be able to share with you one of the new stamps which you can purchase through Crafteezee.  Find them here.  This one is called Love to Dance & you can find it here.  when I stamped this one I missed out the ballet shoes with the ink and it came out perfectly :)

The image has been coloured with Copics, I've then used some Vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz and distressed the edges with a Tonic Solutions tool.  I then scattered some embossing enamel in two colours.  You can see at the right on the image I've used a couple of brass corners.

My designs papers have also been distressed, they're from Lemoncraft and Maja Design.

To the left of the image your can see some Imogen lace and pearl string which can be found at Crafteezee.

To finish off I've made a sentiment out of Tim Holtz Bog Chat stickers
