Copic on Kraft

For my latest inspiration for the Outlawz Sketch challenge I'm using papers from our sponsor WeAre3 called Little Garden, I thought the combination went well using the pink and yellow papers with the image I'm using.

This little cute fairy was coloured on Kraft at one of my Copic colouring classes with Faye, it's one of the techniques she teaches :)
I've fussy cut her to add to the project and made her wings a little sparkly.

I've used two Spellbinders dies to cut the circles behind the image and distressed all my papers with a Tonic Solutions tool.

The ribbon and flowers (my only embellishments) were bought from The Ribbon Girl a while ago.

One I don't Usually Use

Today I'm sharing some inspiration with one of Wendy's new release images for May :)

This one is Cup Cake you can find her here in Wendy's shop

I'v used a colour combination I don't usually use for this card.  I'm loving how if came out though, I definitely need to use it again.  I've used Copics to colour the image.  Using a little of a very pastel shade of each to give it a soft glow behind the image.

I've not used any embellishments for this one just design papers from Hobbycraft and Lemoncraft.  The Lemoncraft paper was cut with a die which I got from Dies to Die for at one of my Copic colouring  classes with Faye :)

All about the hearts

So I've done something very different for me this time.  The sketch at Outlawz and the papers Bonnie (from WeAre3) has let us use for our DT inspiration got me thinking about a sentiment only card.  I nearly always do images.  I thought the hearts went so well with the wood chip sentiment :) 

Here's our sketch for this challenge

The paper I've used are from We Are Three's Really Simple digital paper, I've also used a piece of left over wood effect paper, with some red and black card.  This one as you can see involved lots of layering.

I've used a double strip of ric rac in red and black to match the theme, the wood chip sentiment from Scrapiniec has been coloured with Copics.  My only other addition is a single red rose.

Elsa

I'm here today introducing Elsa properly.  She featured in a recent card I made using Honey n Money.  She was an added extra to the Owl and Pussy cat tale by request from one of my friends :)

I've used Copics to colour her with, then added a little black & white polychromos and while gel pen.

I've kept the design simple to showcase the image adding some yellow neon enamel dots, a couple of silver dragonfly charms and a birthday sentiment from Scrapiniec coloured with black Copic.

The design paper is from Studio Light and I've also added a little doodling for interest.

She's been created for a special birthday coming up soon :)

Mini Vintage Style Canvas

I'm using Wild Roses today to share a different kind of floral inspiration.

I've made this canvas in mind of our current challenge on the SheepSki Designs Challenge blog where the theme is FLOWER POWER!

The image has been coloured with Copics then fussy cut to add to the canvas, which took AGES!

The canvas measures 18 x 13cm just to give you an indication of size.

I've used a stencil from Tim Holtz and some modelling paste to create the background.  Once the background was dry I painted it with white gesso and acrylics.

Again I waited for this to dry, then highlighted the stencil with Metallic Gilding Polish in Pearl Lustre to add some shine.

At the lefthand side I've added a strip of white lace.  I then added the fussy cut rose image.  At this point I used a DecoArt Shimmer Mister to add the shimmering spots you can see across the canvas.

On top of this at the left some Dusty Attic honeycomb chipboard.  Next I added on the resin butterflies and finally the sentiment created with Idea-Ology Big Chat stickers.

I loved creating this I just wish I had much more me time to be able to do things like this for gifts!

Pink Florals

Second post of today :)

1st of the month mean we have a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group.  This month we'd love you to share your All Dressed Up creations in your favourite colour (s).

We seem to have a few pink fan amongst the Dressy Girls so I apologise if you see lots of pink creations in there this time!  You will of course find some other colours.

I've used Flower Market for my inspiration, created for my Mother in Laws Birthday coming up in May.  I've coloured the image in Copics in various pink shades.

I'd printed the image large to showcase it.  Around the image I've scattered two different colours of embossing enamel.

I've sketched a few birds into the background with a pen.

And finally mounted it all onto so very loud pink design paper from Lemoncraft.

Yes it's come round so fast the first Wednesday of the month, which also happens to be the 1st so it's a busy day!

Outlawz Sketch are being sponsored by We Are 3 this month.  Bonnie has some amazing and beautiful papers.  AND did you know she also does some images - check out her shop here.

Soooo.... I'm actually doing something unusual for me for this inspiration.  I'm just using the design papers and a sentiment.

The design paper I've used is from the Little Garden collection of papers, I've chosen this one because I just love the pops of red in the flowers.

Here's our sketch for the next two weeks.

Moved the flowers over to the bottom left corner instead of the right on this sketch so I could showcase Bonnie's beautiful papers.  Here's a close up of my red flower section.

The papers were distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  Apart from We Are 3 papers I've also used some red card and a section that was left from some Lily of the Valley paper.

I've used some lace, tiny silver dragonfly charms and a Scrapiniec Birthday sentiment.
