Angel Tag

At SheepSki Designs on the challenge blog we've just gone live with our Die Cuts and / or Punches themed challenge.  I'm joining my lovely ladies today for the inspiration.

I've chosen to use Mika, you can find here here in my Etsy shop where you can get 10% off all my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I've then scattered some embossing enamel on to add to the starry night sky effect.

I thought about it for a while then decided to make a Christmas tag.  I'm quite into recycling my old cardboard at the moment, so off I went for a rummage in the kitchen to see what cardboards I could find.  I've ended up using a tonic water box :)

Here you can see the die cut tag.  I've used some sparkly white paper to frame the image.  I've added some tiny silver star charms to the tag.  Finally I found a selection of ribbons to add :)

Our challenge this month at All Dressed Up in the Facebook Group is to add a Flower.

So I've decided this time to use one of Wendy's beautiful flower images.  This one is called Jam Jars.  I've printed the image large and used just one of the three, colouring it with Copics and fussy cutting it to add to the card.

My design paper is from First Edition and I've also used some black card.

The background behind creating a sunburst was created using a Tim Holtz stencil, tangerine and black inks.  I've also added some embossing enamel.

All of the papers / card were distressed with a Tonic Solutions tools.

My final additions were some orange enamel dots and a happy birthday sentiment from Make It Crafty coloured with Copics.

Orange POP!!

Wendy from All Dressed Up has re-released some images in her shop this month.  I'm sharing a little inspiration with Full of Grace today.  You can find more inspiration by the Dressy Girls on the blog and in the Facebook Group today.

I've made a monochrome card for my inspiration using Copics and given her a pop of colour with a stripe in her hair!

To add a little interest I've added a few sequins.

The design paper is from 13Arts and I've also used some black card.

Quick, messy n fun!

We were a little short on inspiration this month for our Facebook Challenge at SheepSki Designs.  So I decide to knock up a quick messy card using a new image called Flowering Cherry.

The image was coloured in pastel peaches and greens with Copics.  I've not gone for the full detail, but just added a little texture to the flowers.  Once I'd done this I fussy cut the image our.

Inspired by my friend Shylaa who used to be on my DT I decided to do a mixed media style card.

On a blank piece of card I used a Tim Holtzz stencil and modelling paste.  I heat dried this, splashed some DecoArt acrylic shimmer paint on.  Drying this again with a heat gun i sprinkled some embossing enamel on top and heated again.  All about the heating this card LOL!!

When it was all dry I distressed the edges, added the image and a Make It Crafty chippy sentiment coloured with Black Copic.  The sequins once I'd glued them on I also heated.  I was trying to dry the card so I could take a photo.  During the process the sequins melted slightly and the surface changed to matt - I really loved them and think I'll try this on purpose again!

Mini sunflowers

Well I suppose they're daisies really :)  I've coloured them like mini sunflowers!  This is an image you  can find at Imagine That called Bouquet For... our current sponsor at Outlawz Sketch.

This is my inspiration for our current sketch challenge.

I've coloured the image with Copics, cut it out with a Speillbinders die and then distressed it.  The black card behind was cut with another Spellbinders die.

Here's our sketch for the next two weeks

My design paper is from First Edition (also distressed) and I've also used some more black card.

Nice and simple today with just a butterfly embellishment.

Night time sparkle tag

I've found a little more time to play with the new All Dressed Up stamps from Crafteezee :)

This one is called Time to Sparkle, you can find it here in their shop.

She's also a little more inspiration for our current Facebook Challenge Fantasy / Wings

Once I'd coloured the image I though I'd better take a photo in case my next stage ruined it!

I coloured the image with Copics and used a die tag to cut it out and the sparkly paper behind the image.

A Little embossing enamel was sprinkled onto the texture sky to give a starry night sky effect.

Finally I added a tiny silver star charm and the ribbons for attaching the tag.

Hope you like my little extra inspiration for this challenge.

Poorly Puppy

Did you know Passionate Paper Creations & Friends are having a challenge.  It's to make get well cards using images by the groups sponsors.  This one happens to be one from Di's Digi Stamps.  She's created this freebie especially for the challenge.

I've coloured the image with Copics and kept the design very simple.  We thought we might have to give the card while the person was in hospital so I didn't want any extra bits like glitter etc.  It turned out to be a single layer card in the end.

The sentiment was created at the time I printed the image.
