Snow Happy

Just launched today here's my Christmas snowman image Snow Happy you can find him in my shop on Etsy - click here :D

He's a very happy snowman making snow angels
He's been coloured with ProMarkers and around the body is a little black polychromos pencil to add extra shadow.

The image edges have been distressed and I've done a little doodling with biro for a border.

Some depth and texture has been added by using some snow tex and DecoArt glitter

Oh and the image to the top right was supposed to be a miniature snow angel but it looks like a paw print when I've coloured it up LOL!!

I also have a Christmas Critters Challenge in the Markers Papers Digis Facebook Group (you can find the challenge in the photo albums) and that closes 18 December

Have fun!

If you haven't already seen in the Markers Papers Digis Facebook group there is a pick an image game to win your favourite image from my shop.  Check out the group for more details :D

I'll also be launching a challenge in the group later today.
This image has been coloured with ProMarker, I've added lashing of DecoArt glitter to high light the snow.

The design paper is from Maja Design.

Creating a simple CAS card I've doodled a biro border around the edges of the image, added a few gems and sequins.  The sentiment is a glitter wooden sentiment I got in Hobby Craft

Come and join the fun!

Pansy basket

Today I've used Anne's Pansy Basket for my inspiration for the new challenge at Outlawz Sketch.  Anne Fenton is sponsoring us this month and has a surprise package for the winner at the end of the month.

This image was coloured with ProMarkers, cut our with a Spellbinder die and mounted onto black card stock cut with other of their dies.

Here's our sketch for this week

From this I've produced a shaped card rather than going with the square.  There's one design paper from Craft & You and black card stock used in this creation.

I didn't want to over embellish and distract form the image too much so I chose to use just two sets of apple blossoms and roses.

The thank you sentiment is a wood chip element from Scrapienic.

Hope to see you at the challenge

It's Magic

We've a new theme at Oddball Art - yes its new challenge day.  We want to see you fantasy creations this time.

This image has been coloured with Copics and distressed at the edges with Tim Hotlz black soot ink.  Mounted onto some black card stock to give it a border it's then been mounted onto design papers from Maya Design and Lemoncraft.

The star die cut you can see here is a Marianne Design one.  I've aded to this a few star stickers and a couple of butterfly stickers from Paperchase,

The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one coloured with Copic and I've added a few black gems to complete the card

Three

Can you believe we're onto T already at the ABC Challenge?  For this one we'd like to see three of something on your creations.

We're sponsored this month by Marianne Design so you could alway use three die cuts like me :D
For my three theme I've used three papers, three butterflies, three black gems, three purple gems and three colours of purple flowers.

I've used an image from Conie Fong called Leilani coloured with ProMarkers.  She's been cut out with a Spellbinders die and edges with Miler Lavender ink from Tim Holtz.

The design papers are Lili of the Vally, Joy Crafts and plain black paper.

Here's a close up of the flowers I've used from The Ribbon Girl and some wood chip elements from Scrapienic.

The butterflies were cut out using some Spellbinders butterfly dies.  I've used two papers and glued them together before mounting onto the card.

My final embellishments are a love sentiment from Scrapienic and some purple and black gems.

Love to see what you come up with

Birthday braille

Every year I have to look up how to write happy birthday in braille.  Its for my cousin who is blind.  I learnt how to do braille years ago but you soon forget something that's not used regularly.

The image I've used is one from Bloobel called Birthday Cup Cake
I've coloured the image with Copics, leaving plenty of white space for a CAS design so I could put the braille and  some sequins to add some texture so my cousin would have something to feel on the card.

The sentiment was created at the time of printing.  I've doodled some biro borders and mounted it onto some Karft.
