We've a new All Dressed Up Facebook challenge starting today which runs until the end of the month.
We're changing the rules slightly - we'd like to see your hand coloured images and would like you to include what medium you've used when you post your picture. We'd like to encourage newbies to crafting (and new mediums) to show them what can be done using different colouring tools.
The theme we have for you this time is Animals or Insects. I chose to do a tricky little Christmas number for my inspiration for you today.
I've used Christmas Penguins. They've been coloured with Copics then fussy cut to add to the card.
There's no design paper on this card I've just used some kraft and red card stock.
Instead of using design paper I've sketched out a scene with a white Lyra pencil. I've then shaded it using more white, browns and orange. First time using my Lyras on kraft - aren't they fab :D
Added to the background is some DecoArt loose glitter to make the snow sparkle. This hopefully has the effect of making the iced over lake look more glassy (here in my imaginary world - LOL!)
I've also used a white gel pen for the snowflakes.
I wasn't 100% happy when I'd finished it as I cut the card slightly too low and then penguins weren't quite in the right place then - doh!
Never mind - you get the idea :D
Hope to see you with your creatures on Facebook. Don't forget we've a new Anything Goes challenge starts on the blog tomorrow!
