Little bunny hearts

We're half way through the current blog challenge at Oddball Art - the theme is All You Need Is Love.  We're loving all yours creations with hearts :D

I've used a lil bunny inspiration for you for this card - the image is number 234.

I've used Copics and ProMarkers to colour this image and cut it out with a Spellbinders die.
Design papers are from Lili of the Valley and Maja Design.  I've also added some extra hearts from Paperchase, a wooden embellishment and some gems.

Pop of red

Leaving cards are so difficult to make for guys, but I was lucky enough to find this image from Tiddy Inks - he's called Big Bad Dad.

I've coloured it with ProMarkers and mounted him onto some black card stock.

Design papers are from Lili of the Valley, Prima Marketing and I can't remember where I got the cog paper from - sorry :(

The sentiment was printed on my computer using Mia's Scribblings font.

I've also added some tiny black gems and some cogs from Tim Holtz.

Tricky photo session

This is my first attempt at a pivot card, had to happen sometime - and I'm actually quite pleased with how it came out, even though it took an age to make.  AND it was extremely awkward to photograph!
The image is a new rubber stamp I got from Lili of the Valley but I can't see it on their website anymore.  It's been coloured with ProMarkers.  I then drew round the shape for the pivot section to cut it out to fit.

Behind this you can also see some purple design paper which I also hand cut to fit.

The sentiment if from a Lili of the Valley art pad.

I've also used some lilac gems.

This is the first photo that shows the card opening.

Here's your just starting to see the interior

This final shot shows the interior of the card.  All the design papers were from Lili of the Valley as well :D

Ice Queen

Had this image for a while, but been too busy to do anything with it - story of my life :D

I missed her for Christmas, so I'm making a very early start on my cards for this year - haha!!

The image is called The Snow Queen from Julia Spiri.  I've used ProMarkers to colour the image in very washed out blues.
Added to the image on the chair is some DecoArt glitter.

The image was also edged with ProMarker.  This and the design papers from Lili of the Valley have been distressed before layering.

The die cut is a Marianne Craftables ones.  I've also added a pearl string, some pearl and blue gems and some bead sprays from the wedding section in Hobby Craft :D

Emmy's Breeze

Today is the third challenge of the new year at Outlawz Sketch team.  We've got Cara sponsoring us and offering the winner a subscription to Through The Craft Room Door magazine.

We had no images to use for this month and could pick what we wanted to use, so I decided to see if I could draw some.
This image here is called Emmy's Breeze.  I created this digital drawing just for this sketch.  I wanted her hair blowing in the breeze with a cascade of flowers floating through the air.

I've coloured the image with Copics, hand cut it so I could leave some strand of hair outside the oval shape and distressed the edges with antique linen ink from Tim Holtz.

For the month of January our design team also got to pick out favourite sketches from last year.  This is the one I picked.

As you can see I've twisted the flower embellishment around and left everything else as the sketch.

The design paper is from Wild Rose Studio, I've used some pink satin ribbon from my stash, some tiny pink and brown flowers to compliment the image from Hobby Craft and two enamel flowers from Diamante Crafts which I seem to have had in my stash forever.

In addition to the fantastic prize from Cara I'm also offering my Fuzzy Bear image as a prize for the January Sketch challenges, everyone who enters will be put into the draw at the end of the month.  He's not for sale yet so if you want a chance to win him you know what to do :D

Shhh... I'm sleeping

I drew this new digi with the girls at work in mind.  We're a company that helps animals with allergies and we all love dogs.  This is the thirteenth image I've created.  As soon as I saw the number the puppy had to be called Lucky!

I've coloured it with Copics and have finally managed to get a bit of texture in there.  (Finally!)

Of course the puppy had to be the centre of attention so I've done a CAS style card.  I also wanted to make a guy style card.

The edges of the image have been distressed.  It's then been mounted onto some plain white card stock.

There's one design paper form Lili of the Valley, they've now discontinued their paper pads :(  This has also been distressed.

My final additions are a sentiment form a Lili of the Valley Art pad coloured with Copics and some brown gems.

Dying to be Your Valentine

Lizzy has some great new images out today, check out the blog for inspiration and the Etsy store and don't forget you can get 10% off at checkout by quoting my code DTANDREA

This is image number 280, she comes with a great sentiment.  She's been coloured with Copics in monochome with a pop of red on the flowers.  I decided to do her ghostly greys instead of my normal zombie colours.

When I printed her out I added in the heart from creepy cute image number 223.  This has also been coloured with Copics.

I've done this as a CAS card so you get the impact of the monochrome and reds.

The image has been mounted onto some black card stock and then the actual card leaving borders.

My only embellishment are a few black gems at the bottom right.

Check out the blog for the rest of the inspiration :D

Hang around with me :D

Have you ever seen anything so cute :D  I love this image Birthday Monkey from All Dressed Up.  He's makes a great card for a young boy - or maybe even a girl :D

I decided to use him for my inspiration for our new blog challenge starting today.
Both he and the toucan have been coloured with Copics and the branches in ProMarkers.  I';ve also sketched in some could in the back ground with a blue ProMarker.

I've kept the design very clean and simple - I wanted him to be the centre of attention.

The Kraft card and image have been hand cut (I've no die this bit to cut this shape) and I've distressed the edges with vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz.

The only embellishment I used were some black gems.

We've two challenges currently running the anything goes challenge on the blog and the PINK Facebook themed challenge.

We've also a DT call for the blog challenge started today we'd love to see you apply

All You Need is LOVE

We've a lovely theme at Oddball Art starting today - All You Need Is Love.  We'd love to see your creations with plenty of hearts, romance etc.

To get any of Lizzy's images at a 10% discount on Etsy just quote my DT code ANDREA10 at checkout :D

My inspiration for this challenge is using a combination of images.  The girl image is number 13 and I've used some of the clouds from image number 28.

So how did I create this.  The two lots of images were printed separately and all were coloured with ProMarkers.

The girl image is done in a CAS style - middle of the page with the edges of the card being distressed.  This is mounted onto some green design paper then onto the card leaving borders showing.  The background has been created using two shades of pink water colour paint and splattering the image with a paint brush.

The clouds were fussy cut and I've also cut out some additional hearts from the clouds.

My final additions are some pink gems and a wooden LOVE sentiment.

We'd love to see you over at our new challenge and down forget we've also and anything goes challenge in the Facebook Group

Z = Zero Embellishments

We have a very different challenge for you today at the ABC Challenge - Z = Zero.  So all of you out there who love CAS cards this is your opportunity to show us your cards with no embellishments!

We're sponsored for this challenge by the lovely Lacy Sunshine and the image I'm using for my inspiration today is Fantail Enchantress.

She's been coloured with ProMarkers, fussy cut and then lots of DecoArt glitter added to her wings and clothes.  As she looks like she's sitting I decided to create her a window looking out onto a garden.

The design papers from Lemoncraft and Lili of the Valley are a hand cut (I've not got dies big enough for these shaped cards).  The circles in the middle of the card were cut using a Spellbinders die.  The edges of the design papers have been distressed with Tim Holtz antique linen ink.

And that's it no embellishments of any sort :D

A mermaids tail

For the month of January at Outlawz we've picked our favourite sketches from last year to be used as our sketches for this month.  This one was picked by Pat.

So I then had to decide what image to use with it.  As I've just got into digital sketching I decided to see if I could draw something.  This is what I came up with - she's called Selene (after the Greek Goddess of the Moon).  The hardest part was trying to make the tail look like it was connected to the body underwater - still not sure if I've achieved it 100% - LOL!!

I've coloured Selene with ProMarkers and Copics, added a little black polychromos pencil and biro to her hair and some DecoArt glitter (which I've had forever) to her tail so make it look like she's got shiny scales.

Hopefully I've got enough shading in there to give the water some depth as though part of her tail is under water.

The image and design paper (from Lili of the Valley) have been distressed .

I've added in some sections of pearlised beading to follow the sketch and some flower sprays.

We'd love to see you over at the challenge.  Everyone who enters will be included in an extra random draw to win my Fuzzy Bear image :D

Love to Dance

I'm not sure I've seen this image coloured up much from All Dressed Up - so I decided to use it for a little extra PINK-spiration as Lucy is calling it for our current PINK Facebook challenge theme.
The image is Ballet Shoes from All Dressed Up.  I've coloured it in very subtle pastel pinks using ProMarkers.

I wanted the image to be the main focus so I've created a CAS card.  I've used just one coloured design paper which has no pattern.  The border to the left was created using two Spellbinders dies.

The sentiment you can see was created on my lap top as the same time as printing the image.

All I've used then are some pink gems and some rhine stones to finish off.

effariG

Spell Giraffe backwards :D at least that's what we call them in our house LOL!!

I decided to do this little cutie in pinks (I seem to be having a pink thing at the moment).

This is image no 136 is from Oddball Art and I have a discount code which you can use to get yourself 10% discount off on your purchases on Etsy - DTANDREA10

I've coloured this image with ProMarkers and done a clean simple design.  the image was printed to the far right and I've done some doodling round the edges with a biro.  Its then been distressed before being mounted onto some pink design paper from Lili of the Valley.

The sentiment is from a Lili of the Valley at pad, which has been coloured with ProMarkers.  Little added extras are some pink gems from my stash and some heart stickers which I got in Paperchase.

One of my first

For the month of January at Outlawz sketch team we're being sponsored by Through The Craft Room Door - a place I'm familiar with being a previous design team member :D
The only problem we had was we've no sponsors images to use.  So I decided to see if I could create some.  I'm happy to say I managed it and the design team will be using some of them throughout January - woo hoo!

You may not have seen this one before unless you've seen my sketch page on my blog or are a friend on Facebook.  A while ago I painted some fuchsias on a journal page.  So this was one of the ones I tried to replicate in digital format.  It's not quite the same but I'm happy with how it came out.

I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and cut it out with a Spellbinders die.  I then cut some purple design paper with another die,
The papers are all from Lili of the Valley and the sentiment (also coloured with ProMarker) is from one of their art pads.

The ribbons were from my stash and I can't even remember where I for them from.  Finally the purple gems are from Scarp Berry's.

We'd love to see you over at the Outlawz challenge where one luck winner will get Fuzzy my bear image

Relaxing birthday

Something a little pretty in pink for you today From All Dressed Up.  This beautiful little image Time to Relax will be available from. 7 January on Etsy :D

I've coloured the image in a combination of Copics and ProMarkers, cur her out with a Spellbinders die the distressed it with antique linen ink from Tim Holtz.

The design papers from Wild Rose Studio and First Edition have been hand cut to match the shape of the card.

I've used two more Spellbinders dies for the fancy shapes ovals behind the image and a La La Land die for the heart banner.

The sentiment is from a Lili of the Valley art pad and is coloured with ProMarkers.
The flowers are all hortensias from Live and Love Crafts and the Lace was from The Ribbon Girl.
The pink pearl gems were a gift from a crafty friend in The Netherlands :D

Annabell's tale

So I've discovered I can draw digital images - yay!! Something new for me as I've only ever managed to draw on paper before.

Annabell is my first drawn digital sketch to use as a digi.  My inspiration for her came from when I was young.  I used to be a really Holly Hobby fan.  So I decided I wanted to draw a girl with a floppy hat - but I didn't want to do a young one rather an older version.

The current trend in the UK is for teens and young adults to wear ripped jeans and cropped tops so I've also incorporated this into my image.  I've tried to keep her a little bit country with a side plait too (another modern version)

So here she is coloured.  I've used ProMarkers and done her in pastel shades.

The design papers are from Lemoncraft and Maja Designs.  All the papers and the card itself have been distressed with antique linen and vintage photo inks from Tim Holtz.

The lace and hotensias are from Live and Love Crafts.

The sentiment was computer generated, cut out with a Spellbinders die, coloured with ProMaker and distressed

My final touch are some pale brown gems from Scrap Berry

Hope you like my first drawn.  I'm kinda thinking of starting to sell some digis so perhaps you can let me know what you think

Everything pink!!

We had an amazing number of entries into the All Dressed Up Facebook challenge in December - thank you so much to those of you who joined us.  We had so many fantastic entries I think we may have difficulties choosing a winner!

We've also decided we need some help on the Facebook DT so we've a DT call going on at the moment.  You can find details here.

Anyway today is the start of our new challenge - PINK!!  We had to have a pink challenge at some stage so many of us on the DT love pink :D

This is the image I've used called Little Flower Fairy, she's been coloured with ProMarkers then fussy cut.

I decided to make her into a mini mixed media canvas and here are a few photos of how I did it.

The box canvas measures 7 x 7 cm.  I've used some modelling clay and two different stencils.  The square shaped stencil has also been used on the top and left side of the canvas.

Here's a picture of it painted with acrylics before I started adding everything else to it.  My hubby love it so much he wanted me to keep it like this.  I've promised him at some stage I'll make a larger butterfly canvas :D

Here's a view of the side.

A photo with the Little Flower Fairy nestled into her garden.

A view from the left side so you can see the flowers I've added.  These were all from Live and Love Crafts, The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts.

The tiny silver dragonfly beads I found on Amazon.  Here's a view to show some of the top of the canvas.

And finally here's a view of the canvas from the front.

Hope you love my pink creation :D
Come along and see what the rest of the DT have made for your inspiration
