Strawberry Season

My favourite fruit strawberries - I absolutely love them.  I was originally going to create a pot with strawberries growing out of it.  When I started drawing it you could hardly see the berries so I changed my mind and did a hanging version.

The image is called Strawberry Season

I started colouring this at work the other day.  Laying down some colour using ProMarkers.  When I got home I got out my polychromos pencils and finished it off (several hours later).  My hand at the end of the night was a claw!!

As I'm putting this image into my shop I wanted to make a CAS card to showcase the image.

All I've done is distress the card and mount it onto some distressed black card.

My finishing touch are some small black gems at the corner of the image.

Hope you love my berries

A little bit panther

Gaming Boy                                         Happy Holidays

Sandy Beach                                The Cats Whiskers

I've used The Cats Whiskers for my inspiration today.  Originally I coloured this as a white cat and made a card.  I then started thinking it looked a bit plain and boring so I decided to try a colour.  AND what better colour than PINK :D

Only problem with this is ever since I've done this I've had the Pink Panther theme tune going through my head!!

I've used ProMarkers and polychromos pencils to achieve this look.

I wanted a CAS style card so I've just used one design paper from Lili of the Valley, which once added I felt lacked something.  So I got out my biro and started doodling and it immediately looked better!

The sentiment is a Spellbinders die cut, I've used a few left over hearts from my La La Land banner die and just a little bit of bling to complete the look

Don't forget to check out the blog challenge and Facebook challenge to be in with a chance to win some of Wendy's fab images

Look in the right place and there be freebies :D

When I started drawing images back in January 2016 I never thought I'd be where I am now.  As soon as I opened my shop on Etst Cara swooped in and asked me to be a featured digi artist for Through The Craft Room Door Magazine.

This is all very strange and still doesn't seem real.  I've not a particular style as such (what's new).  I'm still playing around (a few animals, a few cuties, bit of fantasy, girls and some dancers) hmmmm... and still not sure where I'm heading.

A couple of people have mentioned starting a challenge blog and Facebook Group - should I, should I not.  It's all seems a little daunting still to someone who has very little time to do what she's doing now.  As well as working full time I'm already on blog challenge teams!

So back to Through The Craft Room Door.  In the subscribers area in the magazine there are three digis which I've given as freebies, you can see them below.

As there's only me, I've no Design Team the ladies at Through The Craft Room Door kindly helped me out and have made some real stunning creations with my images.  I'm so in awe of what they've produced!

So here's my first bit of inspiration with one of my images.  This is Fuzzy, he was one of my first drawings and is based on my own grizzly :D

I made him into a CAS style card.

The second one I have to share with you is of Flutterby.  I made this mixed media canvas for my mum for Mother's Day.

I ran out of time to make a new creation with my Fuchsias but there's the original drawing on my journal page.  And there's an old card in the Outlawz section on my blog menu.

If you'd like to know what I've used to create the card and canvas with, please pop along and join the lovely ladies at Through The Craft Room Door - it has a list of all my colours and materials.

Oh yeah and if you've got this far without getting bored / falling asleep / or going puh! so what - I might as well tell you there are a couple of Freebies on my Facebook page

My Sunshine

Good morning, it's Wednesday another month and another sponsor at the Outlawz Sketch.  We've got Cre8tive Hands for you this month.

The image I've used here is Sun with Scarf.  I suppose you could colour this with the sun blue and cold but I wanted it to be bright and bold.  I've used ProMarkers to do this with.  Once cut out with a Spellbinders die I've also edged it with ProMarker.

Here's our sketch for today

The backing design paper is from Docrafts and I've used a couple of left over bits as well :D

There are two wooden red flower button which were from Hobbycraft, some gold organza ribbon from The Ribbon Girl and some printed grosgrain ribbon with a very appropriate sentiment!

And the song that's been going through my head since I made this is I'm Walking on Sunshine by Katrina & he Waves

We'd love to see you over at the challenge

Spring day

I'm sharing with you today a lovely little cutie from Sasayaki Glitter.  This image is called Mia in the Garden.  She looks like she's enjoying a spring or summer day.
I've used a combination of mediums (ProMarkers and polychromos pencils) to achieve the effect on the image.

Originally I was going to do something with lots of pink.  I shuffled papers for a while then happened to get out some greens.  It went surprisingly well so I got more and more out and ended up with this layered effect.

The papers are form Lili of the Valley, Lemoncraft, Santoro and TimHoltz.

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  I already had it coloured up as I was going to add it to another card and changed my mind.

My final embellishments are some green and black gems.

Hope you love my little creation - it's well work checking out Naz's Facebook page SasayakiGlitter as she sometimes had freebies and she has a blog challenge where you can win her digis

Be your own

Tonight I'm sharing Nadia with you.  She's a new creation which taxed me somewhat when trying to draw her.

I wanted to create beauty with movement, magic and changes in distance.  I hopefully have created this here for your inspiration.

A CAS style card to show case the image, she's been coloured with ProMarkers.

The sentiment was created at the time of printing - but I could re-create it as an extra part of the digi if people want it.

I've added some DecoArt glitter, pink pearl gems and some rhine stones.  Hope you love my creation you can find her at Sheepski Designs

Mischief!

I've used Dino for my inspirations today - he's such a little cutie.

He's been coloured with ProMarkers and I've used a Spellbinders die to the cut the image out.  The edges have been coloured with grey ProMarker.

The design papers are from Maya Design.  The banners have been cut out using a La La Land die, the papers for those are from Lili of the Valley and Santoro.  I've used a couple of the hearts from the centre of the banner next to the Dino image.

The sentiment was from Lili of the Valley and has been coloured with ProMarker.  Finally I've used some pearl gems on the banner and just above it.

This is a perfect time to join us, as well as the Facebook Challenge starting today the Blog Challenge start tomorrow so don't forget to look out for that.
