Spooky Ghost Shelter

There's a new release over at Oddball Art on Etsy today - if you bob over to Lizzy's blog you'll be able to see what's new.  Just to remind you you can get 10% off Etsy at checkout by quoting my discount code DTANDREA10 :)

I was luck enough to get to create something with Lizzy's new image number 239.  I coloured the image with Copics and ProMarkers then fussy cut her and the ghosts out.  The spooky ghost shelter is just one of the sentiments that comes with the image.  The post of the sign I made by cutting the stem off one of my flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

As this image is all about a ghost shelter I decided to do a spooky house on a hill.  It didn't go exactly to plan as I changed my mind half way through and did it on a cliff edge with a tree and moon instead (creating my own little fantasy world).  I sketched this onto some card stock I print the images off as I wanted to colour it up with grey Copics.

When I mounted the images onto the background I used some stick pads at the top portion of the images to give a bit more dimension to the whole thing.

Hope I've given you some inspiration for one of Lizzy's new images

By the light of the silvery moon

The new challenge for Oddball Art for the next month is to use dies - so I've gone totally overboard and used loads - LOL!!

The beautiful image from Oddball Art I've used for my card is number 170.  And whilst I've given you a link to Oddball Art at Etsy I'll give you my discount code to get 10% off at checkout - it's DTANDREA10 :)

The image has been coloured with Copics, cut out with a Spellbinders die.  The cut die has been backed with some black card stock.  I've then used a grey copic to edge the cut image it to make it look silvery.  Added to each corner of the die is a tiny silver self adhesive gem.

The design papers are a combination of Do Crafts Bexley Black and Lili of the Valley Mr & Mrs.  I've also used some more black card stock.  The fancy cut circle behind the image and the black railings were also cut using Spellbinders dies.  The last thing I added are some black self adhesive gems.

So now we'd like to see what you can do with those die cuts :)

Jacinta Dreaming

For the Outlawz sketch team inspiration for today I've used two digs and merged them to make this scene - Jacinta Sitting Dreaming and Fern Log.  She's been coloured with ProMarkers, and cut out with a Spellbinders die.
Papers used are from Lili of the Valley.  I've used from my stash some paper flowers from Hobby Craft, some hemp string, a lilac spotted ribbon, two brass mushroom charms and some self adhesive gems.

This sketch is so simple to use but we've all come up with completely different designs :)
We'd love to see what you design too!

N is for Number

Over at The ABC Challenge today we've a challenge on that should be really easy for you all - N is for Number.  We're sponsored this time by Art By Miran.

The image I've chosen to use for my inspiration is Love Shot.  I've coloured her with ProMarkers and cut her out drawing round a die then cutting her out my hand so I could fussy cut the heart.

When I saw the image she made me think straight away of the James Bond films so I decided to do her as a 00.  I checked which 00's had been assigned a person in the films then used a number which hadn't been used for anyone specific.  So here she is 003 :)

I used the same shaped die to cut out a black oval then mounted her to one side to make it look like a spotlight.

Papers are from Do Crafts - Bexley Black and I've also used some plain red card stock.

The number is done with some glitter letters stuck onto some plain black card stock cut with a Spellbinders die.  I've also cut a slightly larger red one to mount the black onto.  The only other thing I've used are some red self adhesive gems.

Lucky black cats

Just sharing a card that one of my colleagues bought from me last week.  She wanted a good luck card and I've used this image from Lili of the Valley a few times colouring the cats in various combinations and shades :)

I've coloured this image using ProMarkers then cut it out with a Spellbinders die.

The design papers are all from Lili of the Valley.  I even made the four leaf clover using their paper by punching hearts out and mounting them onto some card.

Additional embellishments are some green self adhesive gems (round and a flower) and some letter beads to make up the good luck sentiment.

Wishing you all luck and love

Good Times

You've still time to join us over at the Oddball Art Summer Fun Challenge.  You don't have to use an Oddball Art image but if you'd like to and don't have any you can use our DT codes to get you 10% off on Etsy.  My code is DTANDREA10.

Now I know this isn't "summer" fun but I certainly had fun colouring up this image 148.  To do this is used Copics and ProMarkers.  The image is cut with a Spellbinders die and them I've used some Tim Go,to distress in and some Stampendous embossing enamel in two shades.

The design papers are from Lili of the Valley and Santoro Gorjuss.  The Santoro green paper with hearts on it has been inked with a stencil in patches to give a faded word effect.  This was an experiment but I loved the way it came out.

Embellishments added were a Tim Holtz metal sentiment badge and film strip.  Some brass roses from Live and Love Crafts, a couple of black stamen from Wild Rose studio and a chalk board sentiment which was bought in Hobby Craft and black self adhesive gems.

Hope I've given you some more inspiration for Lizzy's fantastic stamps

Chelsea in Pastel

This is the second week of sponsorship by Make It Crafty for the Wednesday Sketch Team at Outlawz.

For my inspiration for today I've used Chelsea Hugging Legs.  She's coloured in a combination of ProMarkers and Copics.  Then I've just cut her out and mounted her onto some mint design paper.
The sentiment is also from Make It Crafty.  I've printed it then cut it out using a tag die from Marianne Designs.  When I cut it out I coloured it with a bit of pink ProMarker and added some vintage seam binding.

All the design papers are from Lili of the Valley.

I've finished the card of with a pearly swirl which I've had in my stash for a while and some pink and green self adhesive gems.

Come on over to Outlawz to be in with a chance to win some of these fantastic Make It Crafty digis.
