A Little Bunny Love

Today I'm sharing Rocket & Rosie, the image can be found in my shop here.  You can get 10% off these and any of my other images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

Rocket & Rosie is the image that we're giving away at Kit & Clowder this week :)

I've coloured the little cuties with Copics using warm greys.  They were cut out with a Spellbinders die which I distressed with some Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.  Around them image I've scattered some embossing enamel.

Here you can see a close up of my flower section, there are lilies and apple blossoms.  I've also used some wood chip elements from Scrapiniec.

To the top left you can see a tint wooden heart and a Love script sentiment.

My design papers are from Joy Craft, both papers have been distressed with a Tonic solutions tool.  The card behind it is a shaped one which I've covered with black card.

Some cream pearls finish off the embellishments.

Another dog walker

This adorable babe from Bugaboo and her pooch can be found here, the image is called Puppy Girl.  Bugaboo are sponsoring us at Outlawz Sketch this month.

I've tried to keep to a simple pallet scheme for this card and one I don't normally use.  The image has been coloured with Copics, she's been hand cut and distressed before adding to a frame cut in black card with a Spellbinders die.

Here's our sketch for the next two weeks

My design papers are from Lemoncraft, First Edition and Maja Design, all have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

Added to the card is a piece of skinny ric rac and some satin spotty ribbon, both of which you might be able to find at The Ribbon Girl before they close if you've lucky!

The other addition are a couple of little banners cut with a Fantasy die :)

Thanks for popping by for a look today, we hope to see you at the challenge

The background behind is a section of textured card which has been distressed with some Walnut Stain ink from Tim Holtz, I've also scattered a little embossing enamel.

The design paper is from First Edition and I've finished the card off with a single red heart and a wooden LOVE sentiment which I got in the wedding section from Hobby Craft.

In the snow

The theme for this weeks Christmas card is pink and white, however because penguins are "usually" black I've done this one a pale grey to blend in with the pink but not be too over powering.

This little guy has been coloured with Copics, it's from Connie Fong called Dancing in the Snow.  I've actually found my liquid pearls now we've moved and I'm starting to get things sorted, I've used this to highlight the snow.

My designs papers from Teresa Collins and the image have all been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

Three glitter wooden snowflakes and a white wooden Noel sentiment finish off the card along with a section of snowball trim :)

Hope you like my Christmas card for this week

Forever Thoughtful

I found last year I was a little pressured and was chasing my tail all the time to keep up.  With two of the blog challenges closing I DT'd for and another going down to fortnightly instead of weekly I now have a little time on my hands to be able to play and be creative.  Unfortunately I got a bit carried away and forgot to take pictures along the way, but I've got lots of angled shots and close ups.

My mother in law gave me some money for Christmas so I headed on down to Hobbycraft to see what I could find.  This was originally a wooden heart plaque, which I've altered with LOTS of "stuff" :)

Amongst the goodies I bought were some Metallic Gilding Polishes, the one you can see on the cogs above is the Ocean Teal colour from Creative Expressions.  The cogs of course are from Tim Holtz, as are the words "Forever Thoughtful".

Here a closer angled photo of the flower section, most of there were bought from The Ribbon Girl.

This one is a little further away.  You can see I painted the whole thing with black gesso, this is the first time I used it, messy was not the word LOL!!

Once dried I used a Dot Fade stencil from Tim Holtz to add a bit of texture.

In the gaps between the dots I've added some Golden Crackle Paste to add a second texture.  I then added more black gesso (note to self get black modelling paste!).  It got a bit more messy after than using some shimmer mister acrylics from DecoArt in two shades, I then pained on some DecoArt interference media in blue, this gave the purplish look.

Once all this had dried I added some Zing Embossing power to add a bit of sparkle to some areas (also in blue) you can see a section of this at the top right of the heart.  On top of this I added the cogs which I gilded before adding the flowers.

ModPodge was my best friend adding all the embellies to this.

I chose to do this in my favourite colour combination of blue and purple, normally I do this on cards so I was a bit dubious on how it would look.  It came out so much better than I hoped, I love the colours and sparkles.  Not sure if I will be giving this one away.  Here's the finished thing :)

Thanks for popping by to take a look

Keep on blending

I'm sharing another Christmas card today - YAY!!  That's two made ready for Christmas I'm not falling into that panic trap again.  I've decided to use Huddle (you can find them here).  I've coloured them monochrome but decided to so a beautiful coloured sky backdrop for them.

I've used the N range of Copics to colour the penguins, then some BV,s and V's for the sky (took lots of blending but I got there).   The texture was created with a sponge and some Copic cleaner.  The stars were added using a white gel pen.

Creating a single layer card today, I've added some DecoArt glitter to the snow and finished off with a silver glitter sentiment which I got in Hobbycraft.

Thanks for popping by today

Hugz

I've coloured the image with Copics, its framed with black card.  I wanted to go with a happy feel so I've gone for yellow design paper from Dovecraft and First Edition.  I've also used some more black card.

Here's our sketch for this challenge

The only embellishments I've added this time is a piece of black ric rac ribbon.

Finishing off with a sentiment cut out of black card with a Sizzix die that me for this week.

Thanks for popping by and we hope to see you at the challenge
