Busy Guy

Created for my hubby's boss (he's an architect) we debated about man stuff and what to create.  I showed him this image from Stamping Bella called Calvin Loves his Computer.  My hubby said this was his boss down to a t!

So off I went colouring it up using ProMarkers.  I've also used a black polychromos pencil for extra depth in the shading
The design paper is Man Made from First Edition.  I used this one as I found some buildings on one of the papers :D (very appropriate for an architect!)

I've also used some black card stock to create some borders.

Very few embellishments with this, just some black gems and a wood chip birthday sentiment from Scrapiniec coloured with Black ProMarkers

Thanks for taking a look today

Selfie

There seems to be an obsession at the moment with younger generation females to take selfies.  You know you've seen them do it or the resulting pictures - they're everywhere.

So I though ok lets create an image of a your lady doing just that.  I can image this image Selfie Obsession will have a limited shelf life?  Well we'll see.....

I've coloured this image with ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils.  Cleating a CAS card I've mounted it onto some back card stock.  I've used a different method to distress the edges of this image by using my craft knife and flicking it up the edge of my card when it was mounted onto the backing card.

Finishing touches are a selfie tag wood chip element and a camera both coloured with block Copic.

The edges of the card I've added some doodled borders :D

A Little Birdie Told Me

Its my turn for some new release inspiration from All Dressed Up.

I was a lucky girl and got some more Copics from my hubby for my birthday.  So this is a very unusual colour for me seen as I was testing my pens out.  I've also added some polychromos pencils for the extra depth in the shading.

I've doodled a border in biro round the edges of the image.  My design paper is from Santoro.  Embellishments are a few black gems and some Scrapiniec wood chip elements colours with Copics.

Hope you like my inspiration for today.

All I've got left is to reminder you that the new challenge has started on the blog and we've a Facebook challenge themed Red and / or Romance

Heart Angel

This is my final make of the month suing Sandra Caldwell's images.  She very kindly sponsored us at Outlawz Sketch this month.

This image is Angel Heart.  I've colured her with ProMarkers then hand cut the oval shape.  Behind this you can see some back card stock cut with a Spellbinders die.

Here's our sketch for this week.

I've used design papers from First Edition and Lili of the Valley as well as a little more black card stock.

The only embellishment I've used are some clay hearts coloured with Copics.

Hope to see you at the challenge.  The last chance to try win some images from Sandra :D

Love Life

Drawn for a for a young girl / teenager and coloured in pink, here's Lolly Liz.  you can find her in my Etsy shop and get her with 10'5 off by quoting code SKIANDREA10

I have a DT call for my Facebook group in the photo folders and there's one for my new challenge blog - SheepSki Designs challenges, the closing date is 28 February.

Anyway enough rambling onto my card and what I've done

Liz has been coloured with ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils.  I've then cut her, some back card stock and design papers with some Spellbinders die cuts, to created a nest of layered circles.

The design papers I've used are all from Lemoncraft.

The sentiment is a wood chip one from Scrapiniec that has been coloured with black Copic.

My final embellishment, a few pink sequins to add some bling and complete the pink look :D

Shabby roses in monochrome

I coloured this image Wild Roses in monochrome as an inspiration piece.  I only used one black polychromos pencil to create it with.  Finally I've had chance to make it into a card!

You can enter an of your card created with my images into my Facebook challenges.  I have a DT call in this group at the moment and I've also a DT call for my new challenge blog.  Both of these close on 28 February.
I debated for a while whether to add a splash of colour.  BUT as you can see below I kept with the monochrome theme.  It's kind of ended up looking like a black and while photo of a coloured image :D but I can assure you its not!

I've distressed the image and the black card stock behind it to give it a shabby feel.

My only embellishment three silver dragonfly charms to keep with the monochrome theme.

Hope you like the card I ended up making :D

Sandra's Cupid

Here's another of Sandra's creations for us for Outlawz Sketch.  This one is called Cupid Angel, you can find him in Sandra's shop Baby Cakes Digis and Designs

I've coloured him with ProMakers, then mounted him onto some red card stock.

Here's our sketch for this week

I've flipped mine on its side and left off the part for the sentiment.

Papers used are from UHK Gallery and Santoro.  I've also used some black card stock.

The love sentiment is wooden, I found these in Hobbycraft in the wedding section.  I'v coloured this one with ProMarker.

My only other embellishment are a couple of black gems.

Hope you like my inspirations for this week and you'll join us at the challenge

Perfect together

Yay the day is here when I can share what I've created for my hubby's Valentines card :D

He loves whiskey, partly my fault, when we first started dating he used to drink Jack Daniels and Coke all the time.  So I had this idea why not draw it, so I've created my own digi with it on!

Behind the image I've drawn a heart with a sentiment Perfect Together created at the time of printing.

I've used ProMarkers and polychromos pencils to colour the image.

Mounted onto some red card stock to create a border I've then doodled a border onto the image with biros.

Happy Valentines Day hubby!

Sleep Tight Little One

This is the latest image I used for my guessing game in my SheepSki Designs Facebook Group to win the image.  It's called Sleep Tight and features Fuzzy :D

You can find Sleep Tight in my Etsy Shop and get it with 10% off by quoting code SKIANDREA10.
I've used Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils to colour the image.

I wanted to keep the image as the main focus so have made a CAS card.

The sentiment was done at the time of printing.  It's mounted onto some Kraft card and I've used a biro to edge the image with.

Hope you like my inspiration with my new image

Cupcake Kisses

We're so lucky to have Sandra Caldwell sponsoring us this month at Outlawz Sketch.
She's drawn some images especially for us to play with :D

I've used Kisses Cupcake for my inspiration for you today.

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and the edges distressed with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.

Here's our sketch for this week

With the sketch being for a rectangular card I've used some artistic licence ;)

I've moved my image to one side and put the bottom embellishment next to it.

The papers I've used are from Lili of the Valley and Santoro, heart trim from Joy Crafts and two wooden embellishments from Scapiniec coloured with ProMarkers

Hope yo like my inspiration for today and you join us at the challenge.

Freebie in monochromatic & tutorial news

Happy Weekend - don't forget this is the weekend when you can grab this exclusive freebie.

The image is called Wild Roses and I'm offering it as an exclusive freebie at Through The Craft Room Door Facebook Group the weekend of 4 - 5 February only, click here to join the group.

I created this look by using just one black polychromos pencil.  I was hoping to achieve a black and white photo effect.  I would have done more on the background last night but ended up with claw hand after doing this and a card for my dad  :D

I've run out of time to do any more on it for showing it off for today so just thought I'd post it as it is.

A copy of the watermarked image is below.

Also remember this?

I've made up a photo tutorial to go into the next Through The Craft Room Door magazine so you can find out exactly what I used to create it and how I got the background effect :D

From this......

Don't forget to grab your freebie

Love Is

1st of the month and we've a new Facebook Challenge for you at All Dressed Up.

I've used both in this card :D
The image is called Love Is.  I've used a mainly monochromatic colour scheme using ProMarkers.   there's just the heart that adds a pop of red.  I've also added a little black polychromos pencil to add depth and a white gel pen for some highlights.

The image has been cut out with a Spellbinders die, distressed with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz and I've doodled some stitching around the edge.

The design papers are from Lemoncraft and Maja Design.  These have been cut curved with a Spellbinders die then layered.

Around the edges I've doodles a border with biro.

My embellishments are a love sentiment found in the wedding section at Hobby Craft.  Some brown gems and some tiny wooden hearts that Darija recommended to me in the Facebook Group.

Hope you like my inspiration for today and we see you at the challenge

Valentine Bears

I'm honoured today to be a guest designer for Paradise of Stamps.  Their theme for this month is Valentine's Day

What better way to celebrate with one of my new cute images Fuzzy Friends.  I've added a Valentine sentiment at the time of printing so I could make a CAS card to focus on the image.

The bears have been coloured with Copics.  Keeping it simple they've been mounted on some red card stock appropriate for Valentines.

I've not used any embellishments on this one.  The border was doodled with a biro to finish it off

Hearts4U

A new month and a new sponsor at Outlawz Sketch.  This is the first time I've used Sandra Caldwell's images :D

This one is a little cutie called Bearly in Love and has been created especially for us.  I've coloured him using Copics and polychromos pencils.
The image and red background have been cut out with Spellbinders dies.  I've also distressed the edges of the image with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.

Here's our sketch for today

As you can see with my design below I've kept to the sketch this week, but just missed off a little of the trim aiming for tis to be a card that could be sent to a guy.

I've used design papers from UHK Gallery and some black card stock.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Winter Fairy

Little Breena & Bear can be versatile I've used her for my inspiration for the new challenge I'm sponsoring at Do-Al(l) Keatives.

She's been coloured with ProMarkers and cut out with a Spellbinders die.  I've used two more circular Spellbinders dies to mount her onto to create a frame.

The design papers are fairly plain ones from Maja Design and First Edition.  All these have been distressed.

On top and between the layers you can see icicle and tree die cuts from Marianne Design.

I've applied some loose glitter from DecoArt to the icicles and some snowtex to the trees and along where the ground would be.  My final embellishment are some tiny silver snowflakes charms.
