Pink Star

We're sponsored by TLC at Outlawz Sketch Challenges this month.

For my inspiration for this week I've used a little cutie from All Dressed Up.  You can find Christmas Star here on Etsy.

I've decided to go all pretty much all out pink this week in my inspiration.  The image was coloured with Copics.  I cut it out with a Spellbinders die.  I've distressed the edges with vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz.  Originally I just sprinkles some white embossing enamel around the image but changed my mind and added lashings of DecoArt glitter.  I've then mounted her onto pink design paper cut with another Spellbinders die.

Here's our sketch for this week

My design papers are from Studio Lite, Lemoncraft and Craftwork Cards.

Instead of using a garland at the top of the card for my inspiration I've used some wood chip tree branches that I got at Scrap and Craft.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Joy to the World

This image was definitely inspired by my hubby snoozing after a hard days work LOL!!

I've coloured the image with Copics and I've tried one of Alyce's background techniques from Kit and Clowder.

Creating a CAS card I've mounted it onto some black card to create a border down one side.

All I've added is a Joy to the World sentiment I got from Scrap and Craft.  The sentiment was also coloured with black Copic.

Hope you like my inspiration for today

Christmas Bunny

The images was coloured with Copics.  I've created the texture on the bunny using a technique demonstrated by Alyce at Kit & Clowder in her Markers 101 Class.

The image was cut out with a Spellbinders die then distressed.  It's then been mounted onto some black card cut with another die cut to frame it.

The shaped card has been covered with black card.  On top of this are design papers from First Edition.

I've finished this little cutie off with some Christmas paper flowers, some wooden leaves from Hobby Craft, a wood chip sentiment and elements which I got from Scrap and Craft.
Hope you like my inspiration today

Christmas Deer

This is the second lot of inspiration for Wendy's new release images at All Dressed Up.  this time I've used Christmas Deer.
The image was coloured with Copics and I've kept the design simple to showcase the image.

The image and black card behind have both been distressed.  I've added a few sequins and a few rhine stones to finish the card.

You can see the rest of the Dressy Girls inspiration in the Facebook Group and on the challenge blog

Sketch Time

Here's our latest sketch at Outlawz Sketch Challenges, where this month we're sponsored by TLC

For my inspiration this week I've used Vintage Autumn Leaves Burn, the image has been coloured with Copics.

I've cut it out and mounted it onto black card cutting that so it would go into the wood chip frame I bought at Scrap and Craft.

The design paper is in autumn colours from First Edition.  I've also used some more black card to frame the card.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Wings

I decided to sketch in some clouds behind her and one so she looks like she's standing on one.  The image was coloured with Copics and polychromos pencils.  Only coz I didn't quite get the Copic colouring right and I needed a little more depth of shading in there  LOL!

She's been finished off with some distressing of the image edges creating a single layer card.  A few rhine stones adding a bit of interest and bling / magic to the card.

Hope you like my angel

Cozy Christmas

Have you seen this beautiful image from Createful Heart - it's called Christmas Eve Kitty.  If you want to practice some colouring it's just perfect!
I've coloured the image using Copics and framed it with some black card.

The design papers are from Docrafts, Santoro and Lili of the Valley.

To embellish the card I've added some black gems and some wooden number I got in Hobbycraft.

Hope you love creation

Nut Roast for Christmas

Perfect Christmas card for Veggie - LOL!!

I've turned an autumn image from our sponsor TLC at Outlawz Sketch into a Christmas card.  I have no idea where I get my ideas from sometimes :)

This image is called Sharing Dinner Squirrels.  I've coloured it with Copics.  It's been cut out with a Spellbinders die, distressed with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz and mounted onto a black frame.  this was cut out of black card using another Spellbinders die.

Here's our sketch for this week.  I've flipped the background but kept the image going in the same direction.

My design papers are from Studio Lite and I've also used some more black card.

No embellishments for this one, just a sentiment from Scrap and Craft coloured with black Copic.

Hope you like my inspiration today and we see you at the challenge ;)

Always

Created especially for my mum and dad's anniversary.  I created this card using Ragged Romeo from Mo Manning.  My mum loved orange to I had to do the girl in that colour.  To compliment I've used a dark green for the boy.
The image was coloured with Copics.  In the back group I managed to splodge some ink so I drew a kit in the sky to hide it with pen then added a couple of bird as well.

The design papers were picked out to match the image colours and are from Lemoncraft, Studio Lite and Santoro.  I've also used some black card.  All these were distressed.

I've added an ALWAYS sentiment instead of anniversary, this is from Scrapienic.  There are a couple of tint wooden hearts bought off eBay.  The flowers are all autumn colours and are from The Ribbon Girls and Noor Design.

Hope you like the card I made for them

I've just finished the card off with a little DecoArt glitter, a couple of sequins and a few rhine stones.

Hope you love my inspiration for today.

Winter Warmer

When I was young a friend of the family had a Jack Russell, he was so cute, he was called Jack.  We were also watching The Mask the other week which made me thing of drawing a Jack Russell :)

I've got a whole host of pics of this one as I've been colouring it, I might share if enough people are interested.  I was doing my OLD USUAL colouring with Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I'm trying to stop doing this and trying to use one brand at the moment.

Added to the background of Jack I've scattered some embossing enamel and glitter.  He's framed with black card and design papers from Craftwork Cards.  I've also used a scrap left from creating another card.  This and some black card were cut with a Spellbinder die.

I've cut some trees in white card and design paper, using a Marianne Design die.  Added to this is some Snowtex.

I've finished off with a Christmas sentiment coloured in burgundy and some red gems to pick out the red in the scarf.

Hope you love this little guy.

Shabby Chic Thank You

Our theme for the next two weeks at Fussy & Fancy Friday is Thanks.  At first I was going to create a card with an image but I changes my mind whilst making the card.

I've used design papers from Lemoncraft.  They're been distressed and on the top paper I've scattered some embossing glitter and enamel.

Layers of lace from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts have been mixed with a wood chip border and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Noor Design.
The corner and sentiment are also wood chip elements that I got from Scrap and Craft.  A few rhine stones and a couple of sequins complete the shabby chic look.

Hope you love my inspiration today and we see you at the challenge

Tiny antelope

It was Hayley from my DT that asked to to draw this image.  Her son loves unusual wild animals.
I've coloured the image with Copics and framed it with some black card.

I've used a simple layout with design papers from UHK Gallery, Studio Lite and black card.

The only this I've added extra is a "wild" wood chip sentiment, perfect with the image.

Thanks for popping by

Vintage Crow

Here's some more inspiration using TLC images our sponsor at Outlawz Sketch this month.

I've used sepia and dusky ink tones to keep with the vintage look.  The image has been cut out with a Spellbinders die and mounted onto design paper from Maja Design cut with another Spellbinders die to frame it.  It get the distressed look at the edge of the image I used Copic and a blender pen.

Here's our sketch for today

I've used design papers from Prima Marketing, a scrap left from some First Edition paper I'd been using.

To keep with the sketch I've used some stars in a cascade up the left side of the card.  This is a wood chip element I got a Scrap and Craft.

Hope you like my inspiration for today and we see you at the challenge

Winter Night

I'm sharing a single layer card with you today using one of my images Ice and Cubes.  You can find this image here and get 10% off this and any of my images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout
I've been practising some backgrounds since I managed to actually find time to do a colouring class with Kit and Clowder.  I've done a snow night sky for these bears using my Copics.

The white snow was done using a white gel pen.  I've not added any extras and been brave doing a single layer card, but then the coloured background fills in that scary white space LOL!! :)

Magic Wand

Today is new release day at All Dressed Up.  This beautiful little image is called Magic Wand.

I've taken a photo under the lights so you can see the DecoArt glitter sparkle I've added to her hair and wings.  I've coloured her using ProMarkers.  I've sprinkled some white embossing enamel around the image to add some interest.
The image was cut out with a Spellbinders die and mounted onto design paper cut with another Spellbinders die.

The design papers I've used are from Santoro and First Edition.  The yellow papers and image have been distressed with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.

I've added a few little extras, some silver star charms, a Merry Christmas sentiment that I got from Scrap and Craft and sprinkled a little embossing enamel and glitter onto the card.

Hope you love my inspiration for today.  We've more new image inspiration on the blog and on Facebook for you today.

Feelin Blue

I have the honour today of being a guest designer over at The Crazy Challenge.  their theme for the next two weeks is monochromatic - one of my favourites :)

I decided to do a guy card for my inspiration - I never do enough of them.  This image is from Scrapper Delight called Robot Chip 2.  I've coloured is with ProMarkers achieving a very pastel blue.
He's framed with some black card.  I've used design papers from Maja Design and Studio Lite.

I had some Dusty Attic cogs in my stash for ages,  I coloured these with blue ProMarker before putting them onto the card.

My only other embellishment are a few black gems.

Hope you like my inspiration for today

Prosecco time

I've chosen to do something non Christmassy and used Prosecco Time.  This is an All Dressed Up image as a rubber stamp by LDRS Creative

The image was coloured with Copics and I've kept it simple to create a classy card.

She's framed with black card, behind this gold glitter card and then finally another layer of black card.

My only sentiment is a wood chip Birthday from Scrapiniec coloured with black Copic.

Hope you love my inspiration for today and we see you at the challenge Don't forget we also have a blog challenge :)

A little autumn vintage

We're sponsored by TLC at Outlawz Sketch this month - this was a shop I hadn't come across before.

I've used a combination of images to create this card, all autumn themed.
The leaf and acorn image at the centre has been coloured with Copics.  This is framed by a vintage border and I've also added an autumn sentiment.  The shape of the vintage frame reminded me of the sketch centre for this weeks challenge so I've used this instead of cutting it with a die.

Here's our sketch for this week

Once I'd coloured and cut the image out I distressed the edges with antique linen and vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz.  I've then scattered some embossing enamel around the edges.

I've used design papers from Lili of the Valley, some black ribbon and fours tiny wooden hearts.  I've taken a few liberties with the sketch this week ;)  but you can see the influence is there.
Hope you like my inspiration for this week and we see you at the challenge
