Introducing Sassy

Sassy is an exclusive with Kit and Clowder for their event this weekend with All Dressed Up, make sure you pop along there to grab her, you won't be able to buy her in the shop!

I've used Copics to colour the image, the edges of it have been distressed with Antique Linen ink from Tim Holtz and a Tonic solutions tool.  I've sprinkled some embossing enamel around the image.

The love sentiment is from the wedding section at Hobby Craft and I've also added a couple of tiny wooden hearts which I got off eBay.

My design papers from Maja Design and First Edition have also been distressed.  My final embellishment are some pearl gems.

We hope you enjoy using her :)

Unknown Dancers

I've coloured the image with Copics, added a few rhine stones for some interest and two of Tim Holtz Idea-ology stickers to create a sentiment "Love Life".  At the edges of the image I've also done a little doodling.

Keeping the card design simple to showcase the image, I've used black and white design paper from First Edition with a tiny shot of red card to the very left.

One final addition is a tiny wooden heart at the top left.
Thanks for taking a look today

Dragon's Fly

Last week of the month already for sketch challenges over at Outlawz.  Where did the last month go?

The image was coloured with Copics and I've also used a white gel pen.  The image and design papers framing it have been cut out with Spellbinders dies.

Here's our sketch for this week.

I've used design papers from First Edition, Dovecraft, Lili of the Valley and Lemoncraft

One simple sentiment to embellish from Scrapiniec.

Hope we see you at the challenge

Dreams

The third week already!  I'm sponsoring Outlawz Sketch this month.  This image I'm sharing with you today is called Sleep Tight, you can find it here in my shop.  It's actually under the Girls section but as you can see it can easily be used for a boy :)

The image had been coloured with Copics, cut out and mounted onto some design paper from UHK to frame it.

Here's our sketch for this week.  I've flipped it on its side for my card.

The other design papers you can see here are from Maja Design and Joy Crafts.

No embellishments this time and all I've done is added a script sentiment from Scrapiniec "Dream"

Hope you like my inspiration for this week and we see you at the challenge

Black Hellebore

I don't know if they're actually classed as black hellebore but I'm going with that for my title :)

I started the February markers class from Kit and Clowder.  Whilst I was in the middle of doing it I opened the booklet version and saw the alternative version.  I was like wow I've got to have a go at those!
I've used some slightly different flower colours to the ones Alyce has listed but the original leaf colours.  For mine I've gone for the BV range (BV20, BV23, BV25 and BV29) I've also used V99 and R59.  As well as using Copics I've also used a white gel pen to highlight the centre of the flower.

I found some perfect matching design paper from First Edition.  A section of it was cut with a Fantasy Banner die added to the top left.  That's it plain and simple just like the other card to showcase the image and colouring.

Hope you like my alternative version :)

K&C Hellebore Class

Yay finished another Kit and Clowder colouring class!  Below is a close up of my flowers.  I'm really loving these classes so glad I signed up for them and they're really helping me to get a grip with Copic markers.
I think I maybe could have done the purple ones a bit darker, next time ;)

Whilst I was colouring these up I opened up the class booklet version and had to have a go at an alternative colour!  You'll see that after I've posted this version - I just had to share they've come out so well!!

I've done a very simple card design to showcase my colouring.  The design paper is from Santoro and I've used a Fantasy die to cut a tiny banner out of the same paper for the top of the card.

Serenity

The image was actually coloured a few weeks ago with Copics.  Then I wasn't quite sure what to do with her.  Then when I saw this weeks sketch I thought she's be perfect for it.

Behind the image your can see some black card cut with a Spellbinders die.  I've used this to frame her.

With my design papers for this week I've co-ordinated them with my image.  They're from Studio Light and Maja Design.

The tiny banners at the top left were cut with a Fantasy die.  At the edge of them I've used lilies and rose buds.

Now usually I'd use some ric rac when I've seen Sandra use this in a sketch before.  This time I thought I' try something a little different.  I've added some teal sequins (yes they took a while to glue on) in a similar shape.

Hope you like my inspiration for this week and we see you at the challenge

Experiments

The sentiment was created at the time I printed the image.

I've used Copics to colour it with and also a black Copic liner, a black polychromos pencil and a white gel pen.

Originally I was going to use some orange DP, but thought the green made the image stand out more.  It's from Studio Light.

The experimentation was how I created the speckled background.  I got very inky my own fault but you just go with these things.

I used some Copic blender on a sponge.  Then I used a black Copic to add some colour to the sponge.  I then flicked the sponge onto the card with my nail.  I repeated it a few times with black and green Copic.  I then added a few dot of black in with my liner.

I have orange and black fingers / nails today LOL!!

Hope you like my card, thanks for visiting

Just papers, flowers & sentiment

And a bit of wood chip and doodling, that's what makes up this card today for Fussy & Fancy Fridays.

We hope you'll join us in our latest challenge Let's Celebrate

The first two images show close ups of my flowers.  you can find them in places like The Ribbon Girl, Noor Designs and Wild Orchid Crafts.

The give a lovely three dimension effect to the card.  I'll obviously need to use a box for this one.  It may end up being used as a Mother's Day card, it's this weekend here in the UK.

My design papers are from Studio Light.  I've distressed them and the doodled round the edges for faux stitching before I added the wood chip embellies and flowers.  The wood chip elements I got from Scrap and Craft.

The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one and I've cut some of their paper with a Spellbinders die to add some interest behind the label.

Looking forward to seeing what you create

Momma mouse

It's new release day at All Dressed Up.  Wendy has created some fab new images.  You can check out the challenge blog and Facebook for the images and inspiration using them.

I'm using Two Little Mice - perfect for Mother's Day, but only if your mum likes rodents ;) Who wouldn't love such cuties though!

If you love using Wendy's cuties did you know we've a Design Team Call on at the moment?  Check out the Facebook Group and challenge blog where you can put your entries in.

I've used Copics, a black polychromos pencil and a while gel pen to colour the mice with.

Here's a close up of my flower arrangements.  You can find flowers like this at The Ribbon Girl, Noor Design and Wild Orchid Crafts.

I've used design papers from Lemoncraft.  The top layers of each layering have been distressed including the image.  I've also used some Vintage Photo ink to do some distressing on them as well.

To complete the card I've used some wood chip embellishments and a sentiment from Scrapiniec and a few pearl gems.

Thanks for dropping by today

Remember this

It's my turn to sponsor Outlawz Sketch, we'll be here using my images from SheepSki Designs all month :)
You can get 10% off my images in my shop by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout in my Etsy shop.

The image I'm using today is Selene.  She was one of the first image I drew.
I've coloured her with ProMarkers and I haven't used them for quite a while (just hoping they've not dried out while I've been experimenting with my Copics).

This is our sketch for this week

My design papers are from Lemoncraft and I've also used some back card.  This card on and around the image has been distressed.  Instead of a straight cut banner across the page I've used a Spellbinders die to cut wave shapes then layered them up.

The two mini flags were hand cut with a knife from UHK Gallery left over paper.

To finish off I've added a sentiment from Lili of the Valley (which I've coloured) and a fish sticker from Little B

Hope you like my inspiration for this week and we see you at the challenge

Something Sweet

I finished colouring this image a little while ago, it's Hot Chocolate and Cookies from Di's Digi Design.  I coloured it with the help of a Kit and Clowder colouring class using Copics and had so much fun doing it!

I've kept the focus on the image in my card.  The design paper bedind the image is from Lemoncraft.  I've also used Lemoncraft paper for the mini banners which were cut with a Fantasy die I got from Noor Design.

I've just added a sentiment Sweet coloured with Copics to finish off this card.

Hope you like my creation today

Flower Bouquet

The challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge blog for March is FLOWERS.  I'm joining my lovely ladies this month sharing some inspiration for you.

The image was coloured with Copics.  I coloured it early last week for the shop but then left it.  We were short of inspiration for the blog this time so I've knocked up a quick card with it.

The image has been fussy cut.  All my design papers from Lemoncraft and Maja Design have been distressed.

I've added some tiny banners cut with a Fantasy die and then some Tim Holtz Chitchat Verbages stickers for the sentiment.

Busy Little Bee

By the way did you know we're having a DT call at All Dressed Up.  We need more Dressy Girls for Facebook and the blog.  The links to get your entries in are in a photo folder in the Facebook Group here AND on the blog here.

For my inspiration I've used Busy Little Bee.  To work with the challenge theme I've got the bee with wings, the little girl has "dress" up wings and I don't know if you can see but I've also drawn in some birds in the background - more wings! Hee hee....  So hope that gives you an idea of what you could do as well as using one of Wendy's gorgeous images of course.

The image has been coloured with Copics, I've kept it large to do a CAS style card.  Over the top of the image I've used some black card and some yellow design paper from Lili of the Valley cut with curved Spellbinders dies.

Added to give a little more interest is a strip of black ric rak, a few rhine stones and a couple of sequins.

Hope you like my inspiration for today and we see you at the challenge
