Too heavy to carry

Final week of the November Outlawz Sketch challenges sponsored by Anne Fenton.

I decided to do this little cutie in traditional Christmas colours using Copics.

She's been cut out with a Spellbinders die and mounted onto some black card cut out with a Spellbinders die to frame it.

Here's our sketch for this week

My design paper are from Lemoncraft and I've used some cream ribbon which you can find at the Ribbon Girl.

I've also used some snowtex to add texture, some silver snowflake charms and a felt holly leaf embellishment I got in Hobby Craft a couple of years ago.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Mushroom Home

Its blog challenge reminder day at Oddball Art, our theme this month is fantasy.

I've been meaning to make some new home cards for a while now and I thought this image no 309 from Oddball Art would be both different and perfect.  If you click on the link it will take you to Lizzy's shop where you can use my code DTANDREA10 to get yourself 10% off.

I've coloured this image using a combination of Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

A single layered card, I've doodled a border with biro, added three silver dragonfly charms and used a sentiment from Lili of the Valley coloured with ProMarkers.

Hope you love my inspiration for today

Mounted onto some black card stock to frame the image I've just added a few rhine stones for sparkle and a black and white star sticker that I got in Paperchase

Picture this

A snow family on a vintage Christmas card.  That's what my hubby saw when I showed him my card using this image from Anne Fenton.  Anne is sponsoring us this month at Outlawz Sketch.

I've coloured the snowmen with ProMarkers, cut the image out with a Spellbinders die.  It's been edged with blue ProMarkers and DecoArt glitter.  I've also added some snowtex for some texture.

Here's our sketch for today

I've used design papers from Craft & You which give it a lovely vintage feel and stayed with the sketch this week,

The glass star button were bought in Hobby Craft and I've had them in my stash for ages :D

Hope you like my inspiration for today and hopefully see you at the challenge

Traditional Colour Fairy

We have a little more inspiration for you at All Dressed Up today for Wendy's new release images

You can find these lovely images on Etsy

Christmas Snow Globe                      Christmas Tree Fairy

My First Christmas                                   Party Season

I've used Christmas Tree Fairy for my inspiration.  She's been coloured with ProMarkers, cut out and the edges distressed.  She backed with some black distressed card to frame her.

I got some of the new Lemoncraft Christmas design paper recently so decided to use this to make up the card.  I've used three of the papers which have been distressed.

Added embellishments are some poinsettias and gold glittered wooden holly leaves which I got from Hobby Craft ages ago.  The wooden heart are also from Hobby Craft from the wedding section.  There are some fabric red flowers from Petaloo, some wood chip holly leaf border from Scrapienic, red stamen , a couple of red beads, and some red gems.

Christmas Bear

This is my second creation for The Crazy Challenge as a Guest Designer this month.  Tier challenge theme this time is Christmas.

It gave me a REALLY good excuse to use this cute little bear from Di's Digis called Snuggle Christmas
The image has been coloured with Copics cut out with a Spellbinders dies and edges with Antique Linen ink from Tim Holtz.  He's been mounted onto a circle of red card stock before mounting onto design papers from Maja Design.

Additional elements on this card are some tiny pom poms for snow balls, some silver snowflake charms for falling snow and a Marry Christmas sentiment I got from Hobby Craft ages ago.

Hope you love my inspiration for their new challenge

Snow Happy

Just launched today here's my Christmas snowman image Snow Happy you can find him in my shop on Etsy - click here :D

He's a very happy snowman making snow angels
He's been coloured with ProMarkers and around the body is a little black polychromos pencil to add extra shadow.

The image edges have been distressed and I've done a little doodling with biro for a border.

Some depth and texture has been added by using some snow tex and DecoArt glitter

Oh and the image to the top right was supposed to be a miniature snow angel but it looks like a paw print when I've coloured it up LOL!!

I also have a Christmas Critters Challenge in the Markers Papers Digis Facebook Group (you can find the challenge in the photo albums) and that closes 18 December

Have fun!

Pansy basket

Today I've used Anne's Pansy Basket for my inspiration for the new challenge at Outlawz Sketch.  Anne Fenton is sponsoring us this month and has a surprise package for the winner at the end of the month.

This image was coloured with ProMarkers, cut our with a Spellbinder die and mounted onto black card stock cut with other of their dies.

Here's our sketch for this week

From this I've produced a shaped card rather than going with the square.  There's one design paper from Craft & You and black card stock used in this creation.

I didn't want to over embellish and distract form the image too much so I chose to use just two sets of apple blossoms and roses.

The thank you sentiment is a wood chip element from Scrapienic.

Hope to see you at the challenge

The star die cut you can see here is a Marianne Design one.  I've aded to this a few star stickers and a couple of butterfly stickers from Paperchase,

The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley one coloured with Copic and I've added a few black gems to complete the card

Three

Can you believe we're onto T already at the ABC Challenge?  For this one we'd like to see three of something on your creations.

We're sponsored this month by Marianne Design so you could alway use three die cuts like me :D
For my three theme I've used three papers, three butterflies, three black gems, three purple gems and three colours of purple flowers.

I've used an image from Conie Fong called Leilani coloured with ProMarkers.  She's been cut out with a Spellbinders die and edges with Miler Lavender ink from Tim Holtz.

The design papers are Lili of the Vally, Joy Crafts and plain black paper.

Here's a close up of the flowers I've used from The Ribbon Girl and some wood chip elements from Scrapienic.

The butterflies were cut out using some Spellbinders butterfly dies.  I've used two papers and glued them together before mounting onto the card.

My final embellishments are a love sentiment from Scrapienic and some purple and black gems.

Love to see what you come up with

Birthday braille

Every year I have to look up how to write happy birthday in braille.  Its for my cousin who is blind.  I learnt how to do braille years ago but you soon forget something that's not used regularly.

The image I've used is one from Bloobel called Birthday Cup Cake
I've coloured the image with Copics, leaving plenty of white space for a CAS design so I could put the braille and  some sequins to add some texture so my cousin would have something to feel on the card.

The sentiment was created at the time of printing.  I've doodled some biro borders and mounted it onto some Karft.

Just a simple heart

You know when you've used all the images you can think of, I wanted something different for my mum & dad anniversary card.

I found Cat Love at Mo's Digital Pencil and thought it was puuurfect - 'scuse the pun :D
I used Copics to give the image some base colour and then polychromos pencils to give some texture to the fur.  My mum loves orange and I thought this combination worked perfectly so the cats didn't merge into each other.
The sentiment was done at the time of printing.  The layout simply just using some black and orange card stock, a biro to add some doodled borders and a few black gems.

Sally & Snowball

I'm honoured to be a guest designer at Scrapping4Fun today, their theme is Christmas.

It was a perfect opportunity for me to use this little cutie from Conie Fong that I won a while ago Sally and Snowball.

I've coloured the image using Copics, distressed the edges with black soot ink from Tim Holtz.  All the design papers have been distressed using a Tonic Solutions tool.  The design papers are from Maja Design and Lemoncraft.

I've used some holly chip board elements from Scrapienic, a few black gems, some tiny red paper flowers from Hobby Craft, a couple of red pins that came as a free gift and the large red fabric flowers are from Petaloo.

Hope you love my inspiration and you join them for the challenge

A different kind of home

I'm always looking for ideas for new home cards, this image from Anne Fenton I thought was perfect.  Anne's our sponsor at Outlawz Sketch for November, she has some fab images check out here blog here

I've coloured this image with ProMarkers, giving it a simple white cloud background.

Here's our sketch for today

I've just used the image and some black card stock, keeping a very simple design for the sketch

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and is coloured with ProMarkers.  I've just then scattered some blossoms in a cascade down the right hand side of the card.
