Sneaking another one in

Here's another sneaky Christmas card.  I need to start seriously about making some more.  I always do the panic thing nearer the time.

This image is from Anne Fenton, our sponsor at Outlawz Sketch this month.
I've coloured the image with Copics and cut it out with a Spellbinders die.

Here's our sketch for this week.

My design papers are from Lemoncraft and First Edition.

The section behind the image that looks like it might be ribbon is actually a section of paper from Lemoncraft.

No embellishments for this one, just a wood chip sentiment from Make It Crafty coloured with Copics.

Hope you like my inspiration for this week and we see you at the challenge.

Mostly White

So this one was a real challenge for me :)
I find white on white or mostly white cards really hard to make.  So whilst it's not completely pure white, it's a close as I could get it.

This card was made for the DT inspiration over at Fussy and Fancy Fridays for our current challenge.

I've taken a couple of angled shots so you can see the dimension to the card.

As you can see my design papers from Lemoncraft have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  I've used dies, lots and lots of dies.  They're all from Fantasy apart from the circular one which is made up from two Spellbinders dies.

The sentiment was printed on some design paper which I then cut out in a banner shape and taped it so the centre was raised.

At the end of the banner are a few pearls.  I've also used some at the top right of the card.

Behind the circular die cut is a doily, the tiny white hearts you can see are the cut outs from the heart die.

The flowers that can be found at the Ribbon Girl are the Sweet heart blossoms, the magnolia, beaded stamen and white rose leaves.

You can also find my pop of colour, the butterfly beads at the Ribbon Girl.

Thanks for popping by today to take a look, hope to see you at the challenge.

Circuits

Sharing a little creation I've made for a very special birthday today.

As Bob was being coloured for a 70th birthday card I've done him all rusty and old hee hee....

I've done this using Copics.  the image was cut out with a large section to the right where I could add the embellies.

The design papers have been in my stash for ages for this one, they're industrial looking ones to go with the image.

The sentiment was printed at the same time as the image.  I've just edged it and the image with Walnut Stain from Tim Holtz.  Behind the image is a section of corrugated card board from some bedding packaging :)

Bob has lots of cog embellishments, these are metal ones from Tim Holtz.  The can has been made for my uncle who loved robots and has always made his own circuits.  So I decided to draw some on with a pen around the image edges to personalise it.

Thanks for popping by for a look

Holly Hocks

This beautiful little image of Holly Hocks is from Anne's Digital Art, our sponsor at Outlawz Sketch this month.

I've coloured the image with Copics, a white gel pen and a black liner pen.

The image has been and cut in an oval shape, then the background paper cut out with a Spellbinders die.  The design papers are from Lemoncraft.  All these have had the edges distressed with Walnut Stain from Tim Holtz.

Here's our sketch for this week.

The section of lace behind the image is from the Ribbon Girl.  Scattered around the image is a sequin and a few Rhine stones.

My final touch was to add the sparkly blue enamel dots and a wood chip butterfly.

Hope you like my inspiration for this week and we see you at the challenge

We're sponsored this month by Anne's Digital Art at Outlawz Sketch.

I'm using this fab image called Let's Golf.  I've coloured him with Copics and used Spellbinders dies to cut him and the border behind him out.

Here's our sketch for this week

My design papers are from Prima Marketing, Glitz and Studio Light.

The only embellishment this week are a couple of enamel dots in blue.

Playing with flowers, tulle and lace

So I'm sharing a little something from my play time last night, I had to wait for all the glue to dry before I could take the pictures tonight and add the last bits on.  These goodies are mainly from The Ribbon Girl.  I'll give you the links in a bit.

I love these roses and I've never had them in green before.  With those and the white leaves I started having a rummage around my design papers for teal papers.  Overjoyed I found some.

I've taken a few photos at different angles so you can see the 3-d effect of the flowers / card/

Showing a close up of the flower section also with resin flowers, ric-rac and frilled tule

Here you can see the sentiment I cut out of the design papers which says "The flower of friendship grows."  The design papers have all been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  They're from 13 Arts and Studio Light.  I've also used some white card which has been die cut into leave with a Fantasy Die.  The main square shaped fancy die is a Spellbinders one.

You can also see a bee charm I won as part of a prize from The Trinket Parlour.

On the left underneath the die you can also see some lace I've used from The Ribbon Girl.

I've also used some green shimmery gel dots and a few cream pearls to finish off.

Thanks for popping by for a look today

Tweet Dreams

It's new release inspiration day at All Dressed Up today.

The image has been coloured with Copics and a black polychromos pencil.  I've distressed the edges with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.

Here's a close up of my flower section.  Most of these can be found at The Ribbon Girl.  You can also see some pearls and the section of pink satin ribbon in this shot.

My design papers are from Lemoncraft, Santoro and Craft & You.
A few last bits the sweet dreams sentiment has ben made up from Tim Holtz stickers and I've also used a pale pink enamel heart.

You can see the rest of the Dressy Girls inspiration on the blog and on Facebook :)

A Little Goth....

So this little lady has been in my shop for a while but I've only just had chance to colour her up and her her on a card.

Her boots are a combination of some I had in my early 30's and my Doc Martins :D

I've coloured her with Copics and added a little black polychromos pencil.

My design papers today are from First Edition, Maja Design and 13Arts.

No embellishments today just a sentiment from Make It Crafty which has been coloured with Copics.

Thanks for popping by and laking a look

Bee Happy

For the month of September we're sponsored by Anne's Digital Art at Outlawz Sketch - she has some fantastic images that you can check out here.

The image I've used today is called Dahlia with Honey Bee.  I've coloured it with Copics in sun flower yellow to make a bright happy card.
Here's our sketch for today

My sentiment is wood chip from Make it Crafty.  I've coloured it with Copics with the same pens as the image.

The design papers I've used today are from Dovecraft - Bee Happy.  I've also used some black card for framing.
The only extra I've added is a section of Dusty Attic chipboard coloured with black marker.

Hope you like my inspiration for today and we see you at the challenge

Bad Hare Day

Just released in my shop today.  This is BAD HARE DAY!  The image had been formulating for a while and I've just got round to drawing it :)

The images has been coloured with Copics.  I've sketch in a background scene.

I've kept the card CAS to showcase the image using one single piece of design paper.  I even made the tiny banners out of it using a Fantasy Die.

The Hare Stylist sentiment was created in Word, I've just cut it out as a banner and added a few pink pearls - to finish off the pink scene of course ;)

Hope you don't have too many bad hare days

Clunk Clunk

I've used Clunk Clunk for my inspiration.  I've gone for a black, white and orange theme for this one.

Clunk Clunk has been coloured with Copics, I've sketch out a little path for him as though he's going up hill.

He's been cut out with a LDRS die and I've used the same on for the black card frame.  There's a scattering of white embossing enamel (very difficult to heat on the frame without it blowing away I discovered!!)

My design papers are from Joy Craft and Glitz (I think that's who it is, it's had to tell from the cover).

The embellishments are two banners cut with a Fantasy die and three Dusty Attic cogs coloured with black Copic.

Hope you like my inspiration for today and we see you at the challenge.

Don't forget we also have a blog challenge which can be found here

Lily Tag

I've created a Lily Flower tag for my inspiration today AND I'm sharing the happy news that I've joined the lovely Ribbon Girls Design Team :)

The Ribbon Girls have started their challenges again.  They're Anything Goes and run for two weeks from the 1st of the month.  They also have a Facebook Group if you don't already know, where you can see their inspiration that's not on the blog.

Here are the prizes on offer for this challenge

£10 voucher from Polkadoodles

http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/

A selection of products from The Ribbon Girl

Now for my inspiration

The tag has been cut using a Marianne Designs die.  I've layered some design papers front and back from Lemoncraft, some are torn strips on the front.

Here's a closeup on the products I've used on the tag from The Ribbon Girl.  There's a double layer of lace, a flat back pear string, some lilies, a couple of pins and a woodchip sentiment.

I've coloured the image with Copics, a white gel pen and a black polychromos pencil.

The ribbons for the tag are seam binding and beautiful flowered organza.

I've also used a section of Dusty Attic Honeycomb and some white gesso.

Here's a final pic for you with a few of the products.

Thanks for popping by to take a look
