Snowbordin' Snowman

I'm sharing one of my new images with you today in my plan to try and get ahead with Christmas cards......

This little guy is called Snowboardin.  You can find him here in my Etsy shop where you can get him and all my other images with 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

I've coloured him in non traditional colours using my Copics and a white gel pen.  I've scattered lots of white embossing enamel for extra snow.

The edges of the image and design paper have all been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  The design papers used on this card are from First Edition.

Added extras, wooden snow flakes, tiny silver snowflake charms and a couple of glittery Christmas trees I've had in my stash for ages.

It's the last week of the month to showcase my inspiration for Outlawz Sketch.  We're Sponsored by Knitty Kitty Digis this month.  I've created a little night scene using Hearnoevil, Seenoevil Hootnoevil

The images has been coloured with Copics and I've created a textures night sky background.

My sedign papers are from First Edition and I've used some left over scraps of some flowery paper.  I've also used some black card.

Laser cut leaves from Scrapiniec have been coloured with black Copic and I've used a few enamel dots to finish off.

Yes they do.....

Ok so I seems to be having a pig thing going on, I made a card a few years ago with an image from Unky of a little pig on an apple.  Just don't know what it is but I love this little guy too.

The image is called Pigs Can Fly.  There are two versions, with and without wings.  You can find them here in my Etsy shop and get 10% off at checkout by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

I've had him here forever to colour up and finally I've found time.  He's coloured with Copics.  I've used a few different tones in the wings, pale pink, aqua and yellow.  I figured not all wings are a single colour (or at least in my fantasy land head - ha ha)

I definitely wanted to showcase him so I've done a single layer CAS card, I don't think I'm even going to sell this card or give it away :)

The sentiment was created at the time of printing.  All I've added is some glittery embossing enamel with pink tones to compliments him and a bit of plain old white too.

Best Girl

It's my turn to host the challenge at Fussy & Fancy Friday this time :)

Seen as it's summer hols and you're all busy I've picked a really easy theme for you all to join in, plus we've not had one of these for a while - ANYTHING GOES!

I've used a new image for this inspiration, she called Melody, you can find her in my shop here and get 10% off images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

This image was created especially for my neighbours daughter who loved playing the piano.  I've coloured her with Copics, distressed the edges with a Tonic solutions tool and Tim Holtz Vintage photo ink.  Around the edges I've scattered some embossing enamel.

Here's a photo of the layered up card before I started adding embellies.  The papers which have been distressed are from First Edition, I've also used some black card.  The lace behind the image is from The Ribbon Girl.

In this photo you can see some paper flowers which were from Wild Orchid Crafts and Crafteezee, the pin and organza rose trim were also from The Ribbon Girl.  Added to the flowers are some tiny silver dragonfly charms which I found on Amazon.

The Best Girl sentiment is a combination of wood chip elements from Scrapiniec and Make It Crafty.  The sentiment was for Beth who was being a best girl to her step dad rather then him having a best man (such a lovely idea).  I've coloured these with blue Copic.

Here's another close up, this one has a tiny resin frame which I've had in my stash for ages.

Finally, nearly forgot, there are a few pearl gems :)

Downtime.....

...... I got a little time to colour last night because my internet was down, so here she is finally coloured up and tonight I've put her onto a card :)  Balance Beam can be found in my Etsy shop here, where you can get 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout.

I've coloured her with Copics and created a little bit of background around her.

She's simply been added to a single underlying pice of design paper in complimenting colour from First Edition.

Where did last week go, didn't I just post the last creation for Outlawz?

Moon Glow

I still had my blue Copic markers out after my colouring session the other night, so I decided to make a night scene using Over The Moon from All Dressed Up.

I've created some moon glow by adding a little Y000 to the pale blue area I'd coloured around the moon.

The background texturing has done done using a technique shown to me by Faye, here's her blog if you want to now more about her :)

The rest of the image was also coloured with Copics.  I've sprinkles some embossing enamel around the edges of the card as well as adding some stars with a white gel pen.

The two sentiments I got from Make It Crafty, they were also coloured with Copic.

Want that cake

Finally found time to finish another Kit & Clowder Class.  I started this a few weeks ago, it's been sitting on my shelf since then.  But last night I had a spare couple of hours before my next lot of DT work.  So rather than drawing etc.  I decided to get some more colouring practice in :D

Coloured with Copics, this is one of the markers classes, I've also used black and white polychromos pencils and a white gel pen.

I printed the sentiment at the same time as the image, it's a Make It Crafty one.  Showcasing the image I've made a single layer CAS card and just added a sequin and a few rhine stones for interest.

Christmas pooch

Another Wednesday already, this week flew by.  Here I am with my latest inspiration for Outlawz Sketch.  This month we're being sponsored by Knitty Kitty Digis.

I've used Greyhound below you can find him here in Annabel's shop.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I've used a technique taught in one of the Kit and Clowder monthly classes for how to create the wooden floor.

The image has been cut out with a Spellbinders die.  I've then used another one to cut the scalloped circle out in black card which is behind the image.

Wish Upon A Star

Just over a week os so ago I found out I'd won a Guest Designers spot for DigiStamps4Joy.

So here I am today showing off what I've created for the lovely ladies over there.  Their current theme is Anything Goes with the option of using a sentiment.

The image I've used is called Best Friends, you can find it here in their shop.  

I've used Copics, a black polychromos pencil and white and red gels pens.  The background is a combination of techniques show to me by Faye and Alyce.  I was having a particularly good flicking day so the dog looks really hairy and the grass has some really good texture :)

I wanted to showcase my colouring so I've produced a single layered card.  In the centre of the start is a rhine stone to add some extra bling.

The sentiment was part of the happy package I got from Australia this week from Make It Crafty :)

You can find it here.  I've used some Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz on the edges of it to make it look slightly grungy around the edges.

Just a kitten in a t-cup

Ok so it's just a kitten in a tea cup....  Well actually I've repeated the image four times and used it around the edge of the card.  The image is part of the Kittachino images from our sponsor Knitty Kitty Digis.  They're sponsoring us this month at Outlawz Sketch.

The images has been coloured in pastels using Copics.

Black n Yellow Experiment

Today is new release inspiration day at All Dressed Up.

I'm using Blooms and Butterflies today.  The other new release images are Summer Blooms, Summer Hols and Magical Unicorn.  There will be inspiration using these on the challenge blog and in the Facebook Group

The image was coloured with Copic and a black polychromos pencil.  Once I'd coloured the image I used a splattering technique to get some orange and yellow splatters into the background and the same with some of the dark grey ink.  No ides if I was doing this right.  I didn't refer to any tutorials and got absolutely covered in ink from my paint brush!

After the splattering, I decided to add a couple of different embossing enamels.  The image has been framed with black card a yellow design papers to keep with the the striking black and yellow theme.

The final addition was a sentiment from Scrapiniec coloured with black Copic.

Hope you like my experiment, I had lot of fun creating it :D

Pretty Geisha Gift Bag

Our Facebook challenge has gone live today at All Dressed Up and I'm here sharing my inspiration for it.  It's one that should be quite easy if you love girly cards, the theme being GIRLS!

I loved this image as soon as I saw it but hadn't had chance to use it yet.  It's called Oriental Girl and can be found here in Wendy's shop.

I've used Copics to colour it with.  To me oriental hair has a gorgeous bluish black sheen to black hair, so I've used my BV Copics.  Hoping I've created the look I wanted.  I'd originally coloured her with a blue background.  Then my mind went off wandering.  I remembered having some brick work background from Wild Orchid Crafts.  So I set about fussy cutting the image to mount onto this.

hat I've actually created is a gift bag which you'll see further down but I wanted to take a close up of the bag section so I can explain what I've done.

I've used some design papers from Maja Design, both of these have been distressed.  Below the image is a section of fancy lace I got from Crafteeezee ages ago.  Building up on this to the right are a selection of flowers.  You should also be able to spot some pearl gems and a few tiny silver dragonfly charms.

To finish the bag off I've picked a selection of lace and ribbons which I've tied in a bow around one of the handles.  Some of these ribbons and the lace you can find at The Ribbon Girl.

The image I'm using for my inspiration for this weeks challenge is Cupcake Kitty.  I've coloured the image with Copics, a white gel pen and a black polychromos pencil.  I also decided to try doing a long haired furry kitty LOL!!

The image and black frame have been cut with a die from My Favorite Things.
