Sup

I've used her before and did her with fab red hair - this time I thought I'd have a go at pink hair.  I wanted it to REALLY pop so I chose to do her with black clothes.  Officially I think this has just become my new favourite colour combination!
If you don't know her this image is Lucy Loo Style I Love You from The East Wind.

Coloured with Copics I've just cut her out and mounted her onto papers from Lili of the Valley, Santoro and Joy Crafts.

I've just added a fuchsia sequin, some black and grey gems.

Outlawz April Progressive Challenge

It's been strange to see people using my image, wonderful and so amazing - thank you everyone for your kind words about the image I created for you at Outlawz for your Progressive Challenge.

I drew this image (For Mum / Mom now available in my shop SheepSki Designs) a couple of months ago.  I made my first card with it for my mother in law for Mothers Day here in the UK and knew it would also be perfect timing for anyone that wanted to make a Mothers Day card in America.

This is the one I did for my mother in law.

She loves vintage so I did a clean simple design with some distressing.

This is what I've just made with it today to show a different style.

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and cut out with a Spellbinders die.

To the left of the image I've an arrangements of craft gauze and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and The Ribbon Girl.  Your can also see some tiny silver dragonfly charms in this picture.

The design papers I've used are from Joy Crafts and they've been distressed.

Apart from some pink pearl gems I've used a white paper butterfly and a clay heart from Live and Love Crafts to finish the design.

Book Worm

A great book lover I knew I'd have to colour this recently released image from Oddball Art. As this is blog reminder time I get to chose an anything goes image for my inspiration - but I've still kept with the birthday theme.

Just a reminder before I got on - you can get yourselves 10% discount on Etsy by quoting my code DTANDREA10 at checkout.

Image 297 has been coloured with ProMarkers in pastel blues and yellows..  I've added some sparkle with some DecoArt glitter around the fairy and the sentiment.
The papers and sentiment are from Lili of the Valley and the blue pearl gems are from Scrap Berry.

The tiny stars you can see are leftovers from a Spellbinders die which I've saved and found a use for  :D

Card for a Gent

I was lucky enough to win an image from Art by Miran recently.  I loved the new guy images she's done recently and I picked Gentleman George.

He's been coloured with Copics and I've used a black polychromos pencil for some extras.

I've kept the design very simple for a guy using some paper from Docrafts as my background.

The sentiment is part of a Spellbinders Happy Birthday die.  Apart from the I've dotted around some gems of black, brown and grey.

Hope you like him as much as I do :D

Surprise for you

This is my last inspiration card for the month using Art by Miran images.  She's sponsoring us over at the Outlawz Sketch team for April.

This lovely image is Celebrating Your Day.  I've gone for a colour pallet of blue and brown for this one using ProMarkers

She's been cut out with a Spellbinders die and distressed with antique linen ink from Tim Holtz.

Here's out sketch for this week

This was a real good one for using up scraps of design paper :D
I've used papers from Lili of the Valley and Santoro.

The flower banner down the left is a die cut shape from Bazzill Basics - Cardstock Strips.

My finishing touches for today are some blue and brown gems and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley coloured with ProMarker.

Hope to see you over at Outlawz

A Hairy Happy Birthday

Hee hee I love this little guy from Saturated Canary called Sloth Advice.  The sentiment out can see on the sign he's holding is from Make It Crafty.

I had so much fun colouring him up, which I've done using Copics
I wanted a CAS style card as I was giving this to my brother for his birthday.

The design papers are from Lili of the Valley.  One piece has been cut with a Spellbinders die.

And the only embellishment is some brown gems.

Bubble Dreams

Originally when I drew this dig I had imaged her with bubbles containing all sort of girly fantasy things such as dragons, butterflies, bunnies, flowers etc.

It didn't turn out quite as planned.  It was so hard to draw an image and have it print off so you could colour it I decided to scrap that idea and just go with the bubbles.

I decided to keep the name of the image the same though.  Bubble Dreams is available from my Etsy shop SheepSki Designs.
I do like to give myself a challenge, both hair and bubbles on this one.  I've used a combination of ProMarkers, Copics, polychromos pencils, a white gel pen and a biro to achieve this look.

To showcase the image I've created a CAS card just framing the image with black card.

The sentiment has been cut out of clack card with a Spellbinders die.  The only other embellishment are some rhine stones scattered around the card and some black gems

Scary CAS Card

How can this be a scary CAS card the image is surely beautiful - and yes I agree coz I've used Flower Maiden from A Day for Daisies.  It's scary because this is the first time I've done a single layer card with no borders, or doodling - there's so much white!!!  I'm sooooo tempted to add something to it, so I've put it out of the way so I can't.  Better still, I'd better find someone to give it to quick.

I've given her an ombre dress fading the colour to white at the bottom.  I've used ProMarkers and a  polychromos pencil for this.  The background was done using Copics and to make the bottom part of the dress stand out.

At the time I printed it I added a digital sentiment from Make it Crafty.

The only other ting I've used for my monochromatic card are some rhinestone gems

Flump n Tic

So I've finally had chance to colour up Flump n Tic available on Etsy from SheepSki Designs and coloured up she's even more of a cutie!  She's also turned out a bit Dumbo with the large ears :D

I've used ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils, she's then be cut out with a Spellbinders die and edged with pink ProMarkers.

The distressed design papers are from First Edition and Joy Crafts.  Behind the image you can see a Little Darlings die cut using some white card stock.  There's also a section of white card stock cut with a Matha Stewart punch.

The lace and lave flowers are from The Ribbon Girl and the silver LOVE charm used here as a sentiment is from Live and Love Crafts.

There are two different types of white flowers from Hobby Craft sprinkled down the left side and to finish off some pearl gems

Nothing cute so cute

as tiny little baby feet.

I've coloured this new image Baby Feet available from SheepSki Designs with ProMarkers.  I wanted a very simple layout so the image remained the focus so I went with a CAS card.

The image was printed in the bottom corner of my card stock with the sentiment being produced on my lap top at the same time.

There's also a little pink ProMarker around the sentiment.

The design paper is from Lili of the Valley and all I've used are some silver and fuchsia sequins and some rhine stones.

Adorable creepy cute

Lizzy has done it again.  She's created some fantastic images for her new release today.

Check out the Oddball Art main blog page for the other images released today

I've coloured her with ProMarkers, fussy cut her then mounted her onto an oval hand cut design paper from Studio Light.  I've then mounted this onto a piece of Joy Crafts paper cut with a Spellbinders die.

This next picture is a close up of the flowers I've arranged at the left side on the card.  These were from The Ribbon Girl and Live and Love Crafts.

I've used a shaped card for this creation.  I have to cut the papers by hand because I've not got a cutting machine large enough.  The papers are from Joy Crafts, newly acquired.

My final embellishments are some cream organza rose trim, a resin miniature picture frame and some pearl gems.

Have a great day

1st Prize

Hello Dressy fans :D

We've a new challenge starling today on the blog.  I've decided to use one of Wendy's older images for my inspiration.  We don't see to have used this one very much - the image is First Prize.  I've made this card with the girls at work in mind - I work for a company that help animals with allergies and we've a few horse lovers.
The image has been coloured with Copics.  I've then used two different papers to cut out scalloped circles to frame it (Lemoncraft and Lili of the Valley).  These are nested ones from Spellbinders.

The other papers you can see in the background are from Maya Designs and Studio Light.

I've also used another piece of Studio Light design paper to cut out the mushroom die from Joy Craft.  This has been edged with milled lavender distress ink from Tim Holtz.

The other embellishments are a heart banner cut out of Santoro design paper using a La La Land Die.  A wooden star banner from Scrapiniec. A piece of lace from The Ribbon Girl.  Some pink pearl gems,  Some tiny silver dragon fly charms which I found on Amazon.

We hope to see you at the challenge - but - we also have a Facebook challenge themed Animal and Insects :D

I've made a clean and simple card for you today using image number 12

She's been coloured with Copics and I've given her fiery red hair :D

The single piece of design paper that I've used for the border is from DCWV.  Around the edges of the image I've done some doodling with a biro.

The sentiment was cut out of black card stock using a Spellbinders die.

To finish off I've used a few sequins and gems

Looking forward to seeing your birthday makes

Spring Garden Geisha

It's the 15th mid month and time for another ABC Challenge. Our Challenge this month is F for Fancy Folds.  We're sponsored by the amazing Aurora Wings.

For my inspiration for you today I've created a easel card using two of Mitzi images Miyabi and Pansy Corner
The images have been coloured using a combination of Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  All three images have been fussy cut to mount onto the card.

I've used a similar shape card and cut it down in size by hand before distressing the edges and them using some milled lavender ink for Tim Holtz.  You can see this better below.

Here's a close up of the flower arrangement on the bottom of the easel.  The flower are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. You can also see a close up of the tiny silver dragonfly charms I've used.

You can also see the pale purple gems I've used at various point to embellish.

These are pictures of the full card at a couple of angles so you can see the easel better.

From the final two photos you can see I've cut a rectangle for the bottom section and also distressed it before adding the flower arrangement.

Looking forward to seeing your fancy fold cards

Hey good looking

Today it's my turn to share with you some inspiration for one of Wendy's newly released images from All Dressed Up.

The one I've used here is Looking Good.  She's been coloured with Copics and when I cut the image out to mount it I also used some pink Copic on the edges.

These are the new images to check out on Etsy

You can see the rest of the Dressy Girls inspiration on the main blog - also where you'll find the current challenge which is anything goes - as long as you use an All Dressed Up image.

So here's what I did with my image.  I've cut out a sentiment from some Holmes in Love design paper, added a couple of pink heart stickers from Paperchase and some black gems.

Apart from using some black card stock, The design paper are from Santoro and Docrafts.
