Dreaming of Spring

Today I'm sharing my latest inspiration for the Outlawz Sketch challenge. This month we're being sponsored by the fantastic Art by Miran.

The image (Dreaming of Spring) has been coloured with ProMarkers, cut out with a Spellbinders die and I've used some vintage photo distress in from Tim Holtz on the edges.

Here's our sketch for today

The papers are from Studio 75 and First Edition and all have been distressed with vintage photo distress ink from Tim Holtz.

Added embellishments are some Petaloo flowers, some fine hemp string from some old tags, a strip of lace from my stash and a couple of wood chip butterflies from Scrapiniec and some gems.

Steampunk Octopus

I love crazy, unusual, quirky, creepy cute images - I think that's why I love creating for Lizzy so much :D

This image is number 250 and it's just up my street coz I love Steampunk too AND you can use this to make a great card for a guy.

I've coloured Freddie using Copics and come for a monochromatic colour pallet. He's been cut out with a Spellbinders die and on the edges I've used antique linen ink from Tim Hotlz to distress it.

There's mixture of papers from Lili of the Valley, Santoro and DCWV. I've also used black card stock in the layering.

There are plenty of Tim Holtz gears and sprockets. And if you look closely Freddie is holding onto some tiny Steampunk goggles :D

Finally got my colouring on a card - YAY!! This is the freebie I'm offering on my blog until the end of April. I found it a huge challenge to colour and thought other people would like to have a go at colouring it.

The image is called Birthday Cocktail. I've coloured it with a combination of Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

I've created a CAS card with the image. It's been mounted onto some black card stock and then I've done some doodling to finish off the border.

To finish off there's a scattering of red sequins and rhine stones.

Chillax

I tend to use more digis than anything else these days. So I thought it was about time I did some good old fashioned stamping.

The stamp I've used here is Old Dog - Sweet Dreams from Lili of the Valley

He's been coloured with ProMarkers in pastels and I decided to keep him as the main focus and create a CAS card.

What looks like a stitched border round the edge of the card is actually biro.

The only other thing I've done is to create a CHILLAX sentiment using some beads.

Well it is the weekend after all should we all be chilling out :D

Spring Lillies

I've created a very spring, pink and flowery themed card here using Lilly from SheepSki Designs.

The images has been coloured with ProMarkers, then cut out and distressed.

All the design papers from Lili of the Valley, Joy Crafts and Studio Light have been distressed also.

I've kept the card design simple using and used a scattering of different sized pink and white flowers.

My final touch was some pink gems.

Pretty pastels

A new month which means we've a new sponsor at Outlawz Sketch Team, this time it's the lovely Art by Miran.

For my first card of the month I've used Coraline. I've chosen to colour her in pretty pastels with platinum blonde hair, using my faithful old ProMarkers.

And this is what I've done with mine. The paper are all from Lili of the Valley. I've used a heart doily and a mixture of paper flowers to embellish as well as a few gems.
