Just a day at the beach

Not quite the holiday she's expecting I would say - LOL!!

This image is from Saturated Canary called Beach and has been coloured with ProMarkers.  I decided to do one in non-traditional colours for a change and make it really girly :D
The image has been cut out and the edges distressed.  I've them added some embossing enamel to make it look like it's snowing.  I've then mounted it onto some plain white card stock.

Design paper are from Maja Desings and Lili of the Valley in colours to match the image.

Added to this are some glitter letters to make up the snow sentiment and a couple of glitter stick on snow flakes.  Some pink gems, a snowman dress it up button, some white pom poms for the snowballs, grey Copic for the motion of the in air snowball and some snow tex.  So what actually looks like quite a simple card has a lot of bits to it,

Hope this kind of weather stays away - don't fancy fighting with snow anytime soon!

Hello you

I think I have a hedgehog thing - these little guys are just so CUTE!  This image is from D's Digi Designs.  I've coloured it with Copics apart from the bit of green on the present - LOL!! just can't give those ProMarkers up :D
Added to the image is a bit of DecoArt glitter to make the snow sparkle.

I've only used one small bit of design paper on this card which is from Lili of the Valley.  It's behind the hedgehog image.  Besides this I've used some black and red card stock for this card.  The curved top was created using a Spellbinder die.

Little added extras on this occasion are a couple of stamped imaged from a clear stamp collection Grunge Christmas Postmarks (Lili of the Valley).  A hello you sticker which I got from Paperchase and some black self adhesive gems

The Robyn's Fetish Challenge No. 293 - "Christmas Cards" - 15/06/2012

Today I have the very great pleasure of being a Guest Designer at Robyn's Fetish Challenge.

Seen as it's getting near Christmas the theme for this week is Christmas Cards.  The image I've chosen for my inspiration is Christmas Bear.

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and Copics, I've then cut it out with a Spellbinders die.  I've mounted it onto some red card stock cut with a larger die of the same shape.

The design papers are all from Lili of the Valley from their different Christmas paper pads and I've used some more red card stock in my layers.

Added to this is a section of red ribbon with a hand tied bow and some tiny silver bells (only problem is I keep thinking we've a cat in the house LOL!!).

the glitter corners were bought from Hobby Craft last year and there's a Christmas wooden heart sentiment to complete the card.

Looking forward to seeing you enter the challenge - here's the link again Robyn's Fetish Challenge

Thank you so much for having me ladies

Sitting Pretty

If you're looking for my Oddball Art blog hop post click here

A new month and a new sponsor at Outlawz Sketch challenge - this month we've Bugaboo Stamps fun images to work with to inspire you.

This cute little image is Avaorn which I've coloured with ProMarkers and Copics.  She's been cut out with a Spellbinders die and distressed with antique linen from Tim Holtz.

Added to this is lots of DecoArt glitter for the bauble.

This is today's sketch

And now you can see what I've done with it for my inspiration.  I didn't have the right shaped top border in a die to I used a curved one with a fancy inlay from Spellbinders using some red card stock.

I've used one design paper from Maya Designs and mounted that onto some red card stock.

The holly branch if felt and I got it from Hobby Craft last year and is a left over.  The ponsettia came with the holly as did the extra leaves.

The only other thing I've used on this card is a wooden heart which I also got in Hobby Craft.

We'd love to see you over at Outlawz

PINK stars

If you're looking for my Oddball Art blog hop post click here

First of all apologies for the slightly yellow looking image.  I took this photo on my knee with my iPAD because I was too lazy to get up and put it on my copy stand - LOL!

This is my inspiration for the new challenge on the All Dressed up Facebook Group Stars or Snowflakes.

I've also done a step by step on how I've created this card which is being published on the All Dressed Up blog and in the Facebook Group - this was following a request from one of the members.
The image is Little Star which you can get on Etsy - I've coloured it in pastel shades with ProMarkers.

I've then used lots of distressed layers of design papers from Lili of the Valley and Maja Designs.

I've used a Martha Stewart punch to cut a strip of pink design paper and added some lace over the top.

There's a pearl bead string which I got from Wild Orchid Crafts along the top of the card and some pearl gems and one tiny rhine stone one (because I got a tiny blob of glue there and needed something to cover it up LOL!)

The pink stars you can't actually get.  You can get the grunge board from most places it's from Tim Holtz which I used as my backing for them.  To create them I used gesso, pink acrylic paint, lots of DecoArt loose glitter and some DecoArt crackle paste.

Hope you'll come and join us at the challenge with your Christmas creations

Holly Bats

If you're looking for my Oddball Art blog hop post click here

This is my second card for the new release today at Oddball Art.  This is image 276 which is perfect for those friends that like something a little different.  If you look closely you can see cute bats in the holly berries.

I've not done much to this image apart from print it large and at a slight angle to create a CAS card.  I've added some more shading to the holly leaves and berries and coloured the bat giving them a pop of red with their hats.  I've also coloured the eyes in Merry Christmas in pale yellow :D

The image has been mounted onto some red and black card stock.

The sentiment is a die cut from Spellbinders.  Added to the end of this is a brass Christmas tree charm which I got from Live and Love Crafts.  When the charm comes it has tiny indentations where you can glue your own gems in to make it looks like baubles - so I picked red to go with the rest of the card :D

I know someone at work who has a goth friend and I'll bet she'd love this card

Oh yeah I nearly forgot the black heart gem which I added to the sentiment - LOL!

Batty's Christmas

If you're looking for my Oddball Art blog hop post click here

The image has been coloured with a combination of Copics and ProMarkers and I've sketched some clouds into the background.

This is my first time doing a mainly white card, I've just added some colour to the Christmas lights, Dave's hat (yes the bat is called Dave) and the tree trunk.  I've kept the layout simple using just one layer which has been distressed.

The trees are from a Marianne Design die and I've used some snowtex to finish off
