A simple diamond....

If you're looking for my All Dressed Up Blog hop post click here

....can be quite effective I've discovered.

Another week gone already, this month at Outlawz Sketch we're sponsored by sponsored by Sami Stamps.

This is our new sketch for you - and now you can see what I mean about a diamond :D

I've used Butterfly Flower for my inspiration for you today.  Coloured with ProMarkers I've also added a bit of a blurry abstract background.  the image has been mounted onto black card stock to frame it.

The design papers I've used are from Lili of the Valley and Santiro Gorjuss.  The sentiment is from a Lili of the Valley art pad.  I've just added a few tiny black dots and a die cut butterfly created using a Spellbinfers die.

The image turned out so beautifully I didn't want to spoil it by adding lots of embellishments so it's quite a clean and simple card today

Its a cold night

If you're looking for my All Dressed Up blog post click here :D

I didn't plan this card at all - sometimes this is when things come out best it appears.  I'd coloured the image the other day at work and then realised I hadn't left myself enough room with the other images on the card to use a die, so I fussy cut it out.

The image is Winterlights Wryn from Tiddly Inks and I've used ProMarkers to colour it with.

I was browsing design papers for a guest design spot for another blog and spotted this one with a starry night and moon.  This is the idea I came up with :D
The paper is from Christmas with Wellington.

The hilly background is cut out using a Spellbiners die and the trees are done using a Marianne Design die.  The trees have had some Tim Holtz antique lines distress in applied and then I've gone mad with the snowtex - LOL!

The winners names will be announced ONE WEEK FROM TODAY

I've got the full blog list at the end of my post :D

So now to share my inspirations with you.  This image is called Christmas Present.
I've coloured it with Copics, cut it out with a Spellbinders die and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz antique linen.

The tiny stars you can see are left overs from when I've been cutting with Spellbinder dies and I've saved them up to use here.

Here's a close up of the resin corner I've used - you can find these at Live & Love Crafts.  you can also see some vintage seam binding

This is the other end of the seam biding here I've hand tied a double bow.  Added to this is a double star charm which you can find from The Ribbon Girl.  The roses you can find at Wild Orchid Crafts.

The design papers are all from the Vintage Frost basics - Maja Designs.  All have been distressed with Tim Holtz antique linen.  The final bits to mention are some cream organza ribbon and some pearl self adhesive gems.

So there you have my completed vintage style Christmas card.

Don't forget to leave a comment on all the blogs :D

The girl loves orange

The image I've used here is a Christmas stamp from Lili of the Valley called Winter Walk.

Instead of doing the usual Christmas thing I've used it to make an autumn colour themed anniversary card for my mum and dad.

Coloured with ProMakers and Copics, I've cut out out with a Spellbinders die, the edges being treated to some Tim Holtz antique linen.
Papers a re from Lili of the Valley and Santoro Gorjuss.  I've also used some black and orange card stock.
The sentiment sis from a Lili of the Valley art pad and I've also used some orange enamel dots to complete the card.

It's their anniversary next week - hope they love the card

Feeling Blue

When asked to make a leaving card what image do you pick?  I'd be very interested to know as I'm running out of ideas.

I've dug out my old stamp Molly Makes a Detour from Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls collection.  I've had this stamp for ages and have used it quite a few times.  I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz antique linen to take away the bright white of the card.  She's then been mounted onto some black card stock to frame her.
Design papers are from Santoro Gorjuss and I've used some more black card stock.  The lacy black to the left of the image has been created using a Spellbinders die.

As this is a leaving card and its going to be passed round work I've kept the embellishments to a minimum just adding a new job sentiment from a Lili of the Valley art pad and some black self adhesive gems.

Open box temptation

A new month and a new sponsor at Outlawz Sketch challenge.  This month we're sponsored by Sami Stamps.

For my first inspiration card with their images I've gone all Christmas with Curious Gifts, which I've coloured in traditional Christmas colours with ProMarkers.
The image has been distressed with Tim Holtz antique linen ink and mounted onto some black card to give it a border.

Here's our sketch for the week.

I've made mine into a square and used some shaped edge scissors to create the green border around the image (mainly because I didn't have a die large enough).  The design paper are from Lili of the Valley and First Edition.

I've finished the card off with a red wooden Christmas sentiment which I got in Hobby Craft and some red organza ribbon with white spots.

Hope to see you at the Outlawz challenge :D
