Mutant pumpkin

Lizzy has this new stamp being released on Whimsy Stamps today under the Lizzy Love Collection today.  There are a few more coming out at the same time so take a look at the Oddball Art blog and Facebook pages to see some more inspiration :)
We also have challenges on the challenge blog and Facebook groups

Just in time for Halloween, I got to play with it to give you some inspiration - YAY!!  This is brilliant to colour - there's so much room on the giant pumpkin to do some proper blending.
She and the pumpkin have been coloured with ProMarkers.  The background was done with Copics.

I've used a very simple design for this one - definitely wanted to showcase this amazing image.
All that's been used is some black and orange card stock.

The Halloween sentiment was made up from some black glitter letter stickers.  there are some black self adhesive gems and finally a bat charm which I've had forever, it's a Tim Holtz one.

And finally before I go - if you "need" ;) any of Lizzy's digi stamps I've a discount you can use on Etsy - it's DTANDREA10.  Just quote this at checkout and it'll get you 10% off

Monster of a coffee

This is the second week at Outlawz Sketch with Rick St Dennis as our sponsor (I'm still very excited!)

This is our sketch for this week and if you pop over to the group you'll be amazed to see the different cards we produced using the same sketch.

I've chosen to use Danger Coffee Monster Blank.  You could definitely say this one sums me up.  I'm a huge coffee monster - love black and strong and kinda climbing out of the mug like this one ;)

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers, cut out with a Spellbinders die that I've had for aged and never used.  The edges of the cut image were then coloured with pink and brown ProMarker.

I've kept the design paper plain as I didn't want to distract from the image and I've kept with the brown and pink theme using papers from Lili of the Valley.

The sentiment I've added is actually one from Oddball Art, that I though would be very appropriate for this image.

The only other extras I've added are some pink ribbon and some clay hearts (which people keep telling me look like white chocolate!)
If only........

Come fly with me

Follow your dreams is one of the beautiful new digis being released by Wendy at All Dressed Up today.  The lucky design team have been given the honour of playing with the images.

You can see the rest of the teams inspiration which will be showcased over the coming month on the All Dressed Up Challenge blog and the Facebook Group - this is where we also have challenges you can enter.
AND did you know that there are some freebies lurking around too in here two places - just sayin ;)

Ok so what did I do with the image.  It's been coloured with ProMarkers.  I've sketch some clouds into the background.  Cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and added a little embossing enamel.  Oh yeah nearly forgot distressed the edges with some Tim Holtz distress ink.

I've added a few extras to this one.  A round doily, a hot air balloon dress it up button, an XOXO sentiment in chipboard, some self adhesive gems, a door hinge coloured blue, and a double stacked banner cut out with a die.

The design papers belong to Lili of the Valley and Santoro Gorjuss and they were all distressed too.  Can you tell I was enjoying playing with this one

Autumn Geisha

The seasons changing and soon we'll see the trees full of oranges and browns here in the UK.  This is the theme for my colouring on this card using one of my new digis Beautiful Amy from Art by Miran.

Coloured with ProMarkers I've blended yellow through to red and given her glossy black hair using Copics, black polychromos pencil and biro.

I've also added a fan to the image using a brass charm from Live and Love Crafts.
I cut black card stock out with a fancy Spellbinders die to frame the image.  then I faffed about for a long time with papers.  But most of them seemed to take the spotlight away from the image.  In the end I've just used some more black card stock and one design paper from Prima Marketing Almanac Collection.

The flowers and brass corner piece are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I've also added some black self adhesive gems.

A colouring discovery :)

I've made a colouring discovery - definitely one for sharing :)

But before I get to that I'll tell you about the image from Aurora Wings - Girl Flower Butterfly - Floating Hair and Gardenia Blooms.  Not actually sure which bit is the name but there's the link to it.

I decided to colour it with proMarkers in blues (with a tiny touch of purple so as not to distract from the main blue theme of the image).

The discovery I made was whilst messing about with a resin butterfly.  (Which I bought from Live and Love Crafts just by the way)  I just suddenly wondered if I could colour it, so I did and the result was fab!  You can see it o the left of the card below :)
The design papers I've used are from Santoro Gorjuss and Lili of the Valley with a bit of black card stock.  also added are some self adhesive gems in blue and black and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts.

If you've not already seen it I was glad to share my discovery

Dr Mouse

I've got hardly any get well soon cards - definitely overdue making one.

This absolutely cute mouse image is one of Di's Digis called Get Well Mice.  they've been coloured with ProMarkers.

After much faffing about I decided they definitely needed to be on a CAS style card.
All I've used is some black and white card stock and some tiny letter beads to make up the get well soon sentiment.  Oh and a few black self adhesive gems

Short and sweet for a change ;)

A new month and a new Sponsor at Outlawz Sketch Team.  I'm "quite" excited this month because we've got Rick St Dennis sponsoring us :)  Have you seen his amazing selection of images!

Anyway..... I've been told to behave myself and not do anything too spooky/horror :)
The image I've used for my first inspiration for you is Holly December.  She's coloured with ProMarkers, cut out with a Spellbinders die and treated to a bit of antique linen distress ink.
The two design papers I've used are from Lili of the Valley and Craftwork Cards, with a bit of rd and black card stock.

The hand tied bow is from my tangled mess of ribbons (still haven't found a tidy way to keep them yet).  Tied to this is a small silver Christmas tree charm from a local shop in my town.

The final touches are some black self adhesive gems and a wooden heart with a Christmas sentiment on it which I've only just found at Hobbycraft at the weekend
So.... here's looking forward to the rest of the month - I'll behave myself honest ;)
