A Little Steam Power

Yes I have finally drawn another boys image :D

This one is called Steam Power - you can find it in my shop here and if you like my images you can get 10% by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout

I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I struggled a bit to do a quick colouring in these mediums.  I'm used to doing steam trains in water colour paint.  I sold a few paintings of them when I was in my 20's :)

The image has been framed with black card and I've added a Happy Birthday sentiment in deco art script from Scrapienic.  The sentiment was also coloured with ProMarkers.

Wow where did July go?  It's the last inspiration from me this month at Outlawz Sketch with Drawn by Krista as our sponsor

I've used Summer Beach Items for this card.  The colouring was done with ProMarkers.

Two of my images have doodled borders.  The sentiment was created at the time of printing.

Where the flowers are in the sketch I've used the beach ball and sandcastle by fussy cutting them

The design paper I've used gives a kinda sandy background and it's from Studio Light.  Behind this is a piece of black card to frame it.

Mythology

Someone mentioned horse to me last week at work.  That was enough to set me off at a tangent and I've ended up drawing Peggy.  A horse of the mythical flying variety :D

So how did I colour it.  The background came first with Copics.  The then used ProMarkers and polychromos pencils for Peggy.  I used only a slight colouring on the horse so it would have a beautiful glow.

Once coloured I scattered white embossing enamel across the background for a starry night scene.

All I've done is framed the image with some black card to showcase it for you.

Cherry Blossom

A few months ago I was in my mother in laws back yard where she has lots of lovely flowering plants in pots.  one of them was a cherry blossom.  I thought it looked so pretty I used it to create an image with, which I've only just had time to colour up and make a card with  LOL!

This image was coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I also roughly sketched in a white painted wall into the background with Copics and this is what my mother in law has in her back yard and it makes a perfect backdrop

Once finished I scattered shabby white embossing enamel which also has glitter in it and gives a lovely shine (not that you can see it here) onto it and heated it.  Framed with black card all I've added is a wood chip Happy Birthday sentiment from Scrapienic.

Love Life

Today is out second lot of inspiration for the July new release images.

I've used Holiday Girl, you can find here her in Wendy's Shop.  She come with mix and match clothes, sunglasses, hat, sandals and sentiments.

I've coloured her with ProMarkers and then fussy cut her.  I got to thinking while I was at it wouldn't it be cool it she actually wore the sunglasses and hat.  It was a bit of a challenge but I managed it :D

The design papers I've used are from Lemoncraft and Studio Light and have been distressed.

The large Love Life sentiment is from Scrapienic.  I've also added a tiny wooden heart, some flowers and a few pearl gems.

Summer Walk

Fussy and Fancy Friday's theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes.

It was the perfect excuse for me to turn my coloured image 50's Chic below into a card :)

The image was coloured with ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils.  The white spots on the dress were done with a gel pen.

I've transformed the plain image by distressing the edges with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz, distressing the edges and then using white and aged silver embossing enamel.

I've turned it into a summer themed card by adding a Scripienic sentiment which I've coloured with black Copic

Here's a close up of the flowers arrangement on the left side.  There are some twigs from Scrapienic and the flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.

The design paper I used were distressed and are from Lemoncraft and Studio Light.  I've added some pops of pink to match the flowers and coz it's my favourite colour of course ;)

There are two different types of lace between the layers and a doily.

Yep - it's about time I finished this image off by making it into a card :D
Sorry it's taken me so long DT stuff, work etc.

She was coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I think I still need more practice at showing image movement through water but felt I'd got good water depth with the shading at the bottom.

I've turned her into a single later card, adding a few sequins and gems for bling and extra interest.

I finished her off with the perfect sentiment for her name, a #hello sentiment from Scrapienic

Flump Cake

It's been a while since I did a flump and this one is a real cutie from Drawn by Krista our sponsor at Outlawz Sketch for July.

Chillin' on MyPad

So here he is the little guy chillin' on his Lily Pad.  This is my latest new image over at SheepSki Designs called My Pad.  Check him out here where you can also get 10% off by quoting code SKIANDREA10

I've printed the image large to showcase it and make a CAS card.  I added a sentiment at the same time as printing.

It's been coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I decided to do the little frog in bright yellow so he'd show up against the lily pad.

Once I'd put it together I rounded the corners and distressed the edges making a single layer card.

Biker Babe

This is the coloured image I did of Harley.  You can find her in my shop on Etsy and don't forget you can get 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 :D

I coloured her with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils

When I finished her I wasn't quite sure what to do with her.  I fussy cut her and found she was the perfect size to add to my die tag from Marianne Design BUT in the end I combined the tag with a card - yeah I REALLY was undecided what I wanted to do LOL!!

The design papers a re a mix from Lili of the Valley, Maja Design, 13Arts, and Joy Craft.

I've added a few wood chip elements which I got from Scrap and Craft, there's some lace, pink sparkly paper flowers for a bit of bling, vintage seam binding and pearls.

I think I included bit of everything.

New Pad

Here's little Drawn by Krista inspiration for you for this weeks new Outlawz Sketch challenge.  I've used Frog, Lilly Pad, Fly.

The Frog and Fly were printed together and cut out with a Spellbinders circle die.  I then mounted it onto some black card cut with a different Spellbinders die to frame it.  The Lilly I fussy cut to add but wasn't sure where I was going to put it straight away.

All the images have been coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

Here's our sketch for today

I've flipped mine so the flower border is the mushroom one at the bottom of the card.  I've used a Marianne Design die for this and coloured it with polychrmos pencils.

The design paper is from Joy Craft and if fab for making it look like a background with clouds and sky.

Instead of a zigzag border or ric rac I've just added a new pad sentiment to make it a new home

card :D

I so love how he came out.

Ice Maiden

I'm honoured today to have been invited to be a GDT at Creative Craft Cottage.  Their current challenge theme is Christmas in July.

I coloured Winter Fairy from Fabrika Fantasy in monochromatic colours whilst I was on holiday in the Lake District, but had to wait until I was back to be able to make a card :)

I've used a mixture of Copics, Promarkers and polychromos pencils to achieve this look.

The distressed design papers are from Lili of the Valley and First Edition.  Underneath the image is some crafting gauze, at the bottom of the card some organza rose trim.  I added some pearl gems to the centre of the roses.  The small wooden Christmas sentiment was bought from Hobby Craft last year.

The spray of flowers are a combination of fabric and paper flowers  from Noor Designs and the Ribbon Girl.  The silver and pearly bead sprays from the wedding section in Hobby Craft.

I don't know if you've noticed there a re also three tiny brass bells painted white at the bottom of the flower arrangements.  Umm I think i got these from The Ribbon Girl.

Dreams

Little Girls and their dreams - sigh.  This beautiful little image from All Dressed Up called Time to Shine.  She my second inspiration for you for the July's Challenge at the All dressed Up Facebook Group themed Star and  / or Stripes.

I had my blue ProMarkers out to do the Zebra so I decided to do this one in blue too :)

I also still had my Maja Design papers out so I've used some more of these (talk about being lazy LOL!!)

The silver stars I've added were found in the wedding section at Hobby Craft.  They're actually table confetti - hee hee.....

The double silver star with the rhine stones in the top left hand corner is actually a charm that I got from The Ribbon Girl.

I've added a few pearl gems and to finish a wood chip sentiment from Scrapiniec that I though went perfectly with the image.

Little Blue

I've made two card for inspiration for the new Facebook Challenge over at All Dressed Up.

The theme for July is Stars and / or Stripes.  The Dressy Girls have all done an creation showing both so check out the Facebook Group for the full inspiration

My first card I'm using the image Z is for Zebra.  He's a perfect cutie for making baby cards!

I've coloured the image with  ProMarkers.  He's then been cut out and distressed before I've doodled a border.

My design paper are all from Maja Design.

To keep with the Star theme I've added a couple of grunge board stars from Tim Holtz.

My final addition is a sentiment to complete the baby card.

Understanding

Based on Lolly Liz, I've created a new image showing a little understanding and love between a girl and a wild wolf.  You can find Understanding in my Etsy shop, where you can get 10% off my images by quoting code SKIANDREA10.

This is the image I've used for my inspiration post for the new SheepSki Designs Challenge on the bog.  The theme for July is Square Cardz!

   Just a heads up you don't have to use one of my images to enter, but if you do and you're a winner you an extra image.  The top three each get an image as well :)

Anyway onto how I created this.  I've coloured it mainly with Copics and a little polychromos.  I wanted a CAS card to showcase the image so I've just added some sequins and rhine stones for bling and interest.
