It's an autumn thing

 

With autumn coming up I thought I'd create something with a new release image.  You can find Vlad n Mia with one of our garden gnomes in the shop here where you can get 10% off all images by quoting SKIANDREA10 at checkout

I've coloured the image with Copics creating a CAS style card to showcase the image.

The die cut design paper from First Edition was an off cut from designing another card, it was a perfect fit so I thought I'd use it.

No embellishments, just a sentiment using Tim Holtz stickers "Just Because"

I'm using Poppies for my inspiration.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  This is our sketch for the next two weeks.

To fit in with this I've cut my image out and some while card with Spellbinders nested dies.

In the background there's some more white card and I've also added some red for a pop of colour,

Only a few Rhine stones to embellish with today and a single word sentiment using Tim Holt's stickers.

Scrapping4Fun GDT

 

I'm honoured today to be joining Scrapping4Fun as their guest designer.  Their theme is Anything Goes and they're sponsored by The Paper Shelter - how awesome!

I chose this time to create something mixed media.  I'd started this a while ago and thought it would be nice to get it finished,  It looks like a tag but is actually a door hanger made from a wooden shape I bought in Hobbycraft ages ago.

Here you can actually see it hanging up in our living room.  You can's quite see the texture properly here so I've taken a couple of angled shots as well.

First I covered the wood with white gesso.  Then I used a couple of stencils with some modelling paste for the shapes and writing in the background.

Some more gesso and then some water colour powders and a spritzer came next to move the paint around.  I've given it a matt look, first time I've tired these.  Ovre this was dry I added some guilding polish over the shapes.

The trees at the bottom were made from Dusty Attic chipboard sprinkled with embossing enamel which I then heated with a heat gun.

The bird has been in my stash for ages.  The sentiment "Live the Moment" is made up from Tim Holtz stickers.  Finally a little ribbon through the top to make the hanger.

Just a few bear tails......

So I've had these little guys drawn for a while not but hadn't had chance to colour them until today :)

The sentiment was created at the time of printing.  Just nice and simple today a single layered card with no embellishments :)

House Plants

Today is new release inspiration day at All Dressed Up.

The image I've used today is called House Plants, you can find it here in Wendy's shop.

I've printed the image large and created the sentiment at the time of printing.  I wanted to make a single layer card to focus on the sentiment and image only.   I've coloured it with Copics.

Just one tiny silver dragonfly charm is my only embellishment to keep it simple.

Monochrome & Sparkle

The days are flying by, I can hardly keep up :)

It's sketch time at Outlawz again, we're sponsored this month by Beccy's Place.

I'm using a silhouette for my inspiration today.

Here's our sketch for the next two weeks.

I've decided to make a monochrome card using design papers from Maja Design and First Edition.

I've added some back ric rac ribbon, for some sparkle a few silver sequins, rhine stones and then a sentiment made from Tim Holtz stickers.

A while ago I was having a bit of hair practice colouring up Noora's hair.  I've finally finished colouring her.  Part of the problem was deciding what colour to do her clothes and flowers!

After I'd cut her out I still didn't know what to do with her so had a browse though my paper stash.  I managed to find some suitable paper from First Edition.  So, I fussy cut Noora out ready to go on the card.

My only embellies are a few glittery enamel dots in the same colour as her clothes and a wood chip Happy Birthday sentiment.

Our new challenge has just gone live in the Facebook Group at All Dressed Up.

This month our theme is Fur, Feathers and Wings - of course that means you can include fairies :)

I've chosen to use Koala Hugs for my inspiration today.

Printing the image small in the bottom corner I've created a single layer card.  The image and wood chip sentiment have been coloured with Copics.

Just a little embossing enamel for interest around the Koala to finish.
