Vintage White

This is the last image for the month from Aurora Wings our sponsor of the month over at Outlawz Sketch.

I've used Clara today, you can find her here.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  I wanted her to have a white vintage styles dress and I've achieved this using warm greys.  The pop of colour has been given to the nutcracker toy she's holding.

Around the images I've scattered some white embossing enamel.

The edges of the image and all my papers have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.  The image has also been distressed with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz to take away some white.

Here's our sketch for the next two weeks.

My design paper is from Maya Design and I've also used some dark red card.

Behind the image your can see some cream satin ribbon edged in gold.  I've finished it off with a wooden sentiment from Hobby Craft and a tiny wooden holly embellishment that I found at the bottom of one of my boxes ;)

Autumn Wreath

Today is our second spot in the month at All Dressed Up where we share some inspiration with you for the new release images.

I'm using Autumn Wreath for mine.  You can find it here in Wendy's Etsy shop.

I've coloured the image with Copics, added some embossing enamel and distressed it with some Vintage Photo ink and a Tonic solutions tool.

The sentiment an heart were created at the time of printing.

My design paper has been in my stash for ages, Prima Marketing I think and I've also used some black card.  All the papers have been distressed using a Tonic Solutions tool.

My final addition was to add some autumn colour themed flowers to match with the colouring.

I've coloured it with Copics leaving plenty of room to add a large sentiment from Make It Crafty.

I've done the sentiment background with black Copic keeping the theme of the card simple to make the coloured image pop more.

Whilst colouring the image I think my Copics may have been a bit "juicy" when I took the cap off one of them it splashed creating a dot.  To disguise this I've added lots more different coloured dots :)

I've used some black card and a simple black and white design paper.  Then a few neon enamel dots to finish.

Well the last two weeks went my in a flash, this is my second lot of inspiration for Outlawz Sketch using the awesome Aurora Wings images.  The one I'm using today is Scorpio Sprite.

The image has been coloured with Copics.  The edges of the image distressed with Vintage Photo ink and a Tonic Solutions tool.  Around the image I've also scattered two different colours of embossing enamel.

I've used design papers from Studio Light and Lemoncraft, all of these have also been distressed using the Tonic Solutions tool.

To keep with the zodiac theme I've added a couple of wooden stars, then I added a birthday sentiment from Make It Crafty coloured with Copics to match the design papers.

I've chosen to use Weeping Rose for my inspiration today.

The images has been coloured with Copics.  I had to do it in a bit of a rush (I got a bit behind with my hols last week) so I've given it a colour wash and added lots of texture to the petals.

I found the perfect design papers to go with the image.  They're from Studio Light.

I've also used some black card.  I tried to add the embellies as per the sketch to my card but it just kept taking it away from the beautiful image and gorgeous design papers.  So I decided to go plain without them for this time :)

Love it when a plan comes together!!

Our Facebook Challenge at All Dressed Up this month is Autumn / Halloween.  I've been wanting to colour up this image Bon Voyage again for a while, but was having trouble working out how I could fit it into this challenge.

I was off last week and looking at my Kit & Clowder colouring classes.  I spotted an autumn one and then some leaves which were a bonus colouring class.  Then I got an idea.  Colouring leaves like a mad thing I did loads and fussy cut them out.  I've used them on my two autumn DT inspiration cards this month.

All the colouring was done with Copics.

My design paper is from Lili of the Valley and I've used some black card.  Only other thing I added were a couple of birds into my background with a pen.

Just a little autumn thing

It's been a while since little Finnian has had an airing.  I thought I'd use him in my inspiration for our latest challenge at SheepSki Designs Blog Challenges.  Our theme for this month is Autumn.

He's been coloured with Copics and I've scattered some embossing enamel down one side of the rough path I'd sketched in.

The leave which I've overloaded over the last few days (you'll also see them in my next card) are from a bonus Kit & Clowder Colouring Class.  I fussy cut them after I'd coloured them.

My design paper is from Lili of the Valley and Joy Crafts and I've also used some black card.  The Autumn sentiment was cut out using letter dies.

My final addition are four tiny wooden hearts made into butterflies.
