Rainy day shopping

Inspired by the girls shopping in my home town of Leeds, sitting in a cafe looking out of the window.  This is typical of current fashion and some girls ability to wear mega high heels when they shop.  Yorkshire being as it is, we have a tendency for bad weather in Autumn!  We're just used to it :)

You can find this new image of mine called Shopping in Yorkshire in my Etsy shop where you can get this and any of my other images with 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10
I decided to colour this image in one of my favourites, black and white with a pop of colour.  I've coloured it with Copics and created a little texture in the background.  On the seams of the umbrella and at the left edge of the image I've used a black polychromos for a little extra definition.

The sentiment was created at the time of printing.  All I've done to showcase the image is to frame it with some red and black card.  A very simple but classy result.

Hope you like my inspiration for today

It's been coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

Here's our sketch for this week, this one was Cindy's favourite from 2016

My design papers are from First Edition and Studio Lite.

The satin ribbon was from Crafty Ribbons and I've hand tied a mini bow in the middle of it.  My other embellishment are a couple of pearl gems

Bubbles in the dark

This is something that's been bugging me for a while.  I was researching some inspiration of what bubbles look like and I found some pictures of them in the dark.

I tried this back in April / May when I was on holiday but I got it sooooo wrong and hadn't had chance to have anther go until now.

I've coloured the background and hair with Copics then everything else with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

It took me ages to find the design paper to go behind to frame the image, it's from Joy Crafts.  I've also used some black card and a few golden gems.

Its not perfect but I do love how it came out :)

When something looks better in real life

For some reason this looks so much better in real life that in these pictures!  Maybe its something to do with the lighting.  Anyway..... I'm sharing it even though it looks a bit pants in the photos.

Today we're at Outlawz Sketch again sharing our favourite sketches from 2016.  We're sponsored by Sami stamps this month how has some fantastic cute images.  Check the shop out here.

This is actually one of my own images that was just hanging around all coloured up.  It was the perfect share for this sketch.  The image is called Fuchsias and you can find it here

I've coloured it using ProMarkers and polychromos pencils, the edges have been distressed with black soot ink from Tim Holtz and a distressing tool.  I've also scattered a little embossing enamel to add some interest.  The backing paper (also distressed) from First Edition and has been cut with a Spellbinders die.

Here's one of my favourite sketches from last year.

I've used two more distressed design papers from First Edition and 13 Arts.  The top right instead of a gem I've curled the paper and added the gem higher on the paper behind.

To the bottom right instead of a swirl and flowers I've used and swirly wood chip embellishment from Scrapienic.

Two gems and a wood chip butterfly finish off the card.

Hope

The normal for lab techs appears to be with glasses and  / or looking geeky.  As I know working at a company with labs and as Rijacki (one of my DT ladies who requested this image) is certainly not the case.

I've coloured Hope with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  I've done a CAS card showcasing the image and in case anyone wants me to tailor it to their requirements.

She's been framed with back card and I've not even doodled this time I must be getting braver at the white space thing ;)

Poppies

I'm not sure if drawing flowers are my favourite images to do.  I know Remembrance Sunday is coming up.  So this is part of the reason I've drawn there but also I've had a thing about drawing them since I saw a large variety growing in my parents garden earlier this year.

The poppies were coloured with Copcs and then I added a little black polychromos for depth.  The buds and stems were done with ProMarkers and black polychromos.

I then ventured into doing a abstract background using Copics and a blender pen painting watercolours like distress inks (a trick learned from Alyce in her Markers 101 class).  Love the effect and I shall certainly try this again.

I didn't want to do a completely CAS card this time.  For some reason the poppies seemed to work really well with this design paper from Lemoncraft.

Mounted onto some black card, I've added some tiny strips of navy blue ribbon, a few black gems and then a woodchip love sentiment from Scrapienic.

Hope you love my inspiration

A little autumn

I won this Hannah Lynn image a while ago from Crafts and Me and decided it would be perfect to do some red hair.  Mixed with green clothes and eyes she make a perfect autumn colour combination.
I achieved this look by using ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils.

Here's a close up of some of the flowers I've used.  This is a combination from Noor Design  and Wild Orchid Crafts.

The top right arrangement I added some of the leaves I cut off the brown roses form the bottom left arrangement.

The design papers are all different green shades from Maja Design.  All the design paper and the black card the image was mounted onto to frame it were distressed.

My final embellishments were two wooden hearts from the wedding section in Hobby Craft, table confetti :)

Hope you like my inspiration for today.  Thanks for taking the time to visit

Got a pink thing goin on

Originally when I made this digi I was using black sandals as my idea.  Obviously my head thinks pink a lot (favourite colour)

The image was coloured with ProMarkers and plychromos pencils.  I've cut it with a Spellbinders die, distressed the edges with vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz and then sprinkled two types of Stampendous embossing enamel onto it before heating.  There's some back card behind cut with a Spellbinders die to frame it.

I've just recently stocked up my pink flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts - here a close up of the arrangement on my card.  here are also a few twigs (laser cut wood chip from Scrapienic).  The white you can see to give it a shabby look is actually snowtex (an experiment hee hee).

Below is the finished shaped card.  The base was covered with black card (hand cut to fit).  The papers used are from Maya Designs and Studio Lite.  There are also some left over off cuts.  The the design papers were distressed.

My final embellishments to the card are a birthday sentiment from Scrapiniec, a tiny wooden heart which I got off eBay, some pearl gems and a wooden heart (table confetti from the wedding section in Hobby Craft).

Hope you like my inspiration for today

Pastel pink

This month at Outlawz Sketch we're using our favourite sketches from the 2016.  This weeks was picked by Darcy :D

We're sponsored this month by Sami Stamps who have some gorgeous images.  The one I've used for my inspiration this week is Floral Girl.
This image was coloured in soft pastel shades using ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  Once I'd cut the image down to size I sprinkled two lots of embossing enamel onto it to add some interest.

Here's Darcy's favourite sketch

I've used design papers from Maja Designs and Lemoncraft.

The For You sentiment is a wood chip one from Scrapienic.  I've also used some Lilies which I got from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Hope you love my inspiration for today and we see you at the challenge

Ice Queen Freebie

Christmas is sneaking up and I got pondering about what I could create with a wintery theme.  I decided to do an Ice Queen.  You can find her in my Etsy shop.  BUT if you're lucky enough you'll be able to grab her as a FREEBIE if you follow Alyce's instructions over at Kit and Clowder :D
I've created a card with lots of my favourite elements for your inspiration.

The image was coloured with ProMarers and polychromos pencils to get the extra detail.

After colouring her I cut her out with a Spellbinders die. The edges were distressed with Vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz.  I then scattered two colours of embossing enamel onto the background around the image and applied my heat gun.

I've used a shaped card as my base and cut some Maja Design paper to overlay it.

On top of this are design papers from First Edition.  All the design papers were distressed.

There's a mixture of white flowers to add to the wintery feel and some pearl embellishments which are actually from the wedding section in Hobby Craft.
I've added a love sentiment from Scrapiniec simply because I love hearts.

You may be able to see some tiny stars scattered all over the card / image.  These are left overs from a Spellbinders label die.

And my final embellishment a few pearl gems.

Hope you like my inspiration and thanks for visiting, hope you manage to grab her as a freebie

Dear Little One

Carina has been coloured with Copics, ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

To showcase the image for you I've mounted her onto some black card to frame it.  Both the image and the card have been gently distressed.  I've also doodled a border to add to the framing.

Added to the card are some tiny hearts which I've made into butterflies and three hearts to the bottom right (laser cut wood chip from Scrapienic)

The fairy also has some DecoArt glitter on her wings.  She can't be a fairy without a bit of magic dust  and sparkle ;)

Birthday Celbration

This gorgeous image is one of Wendy's recent additions.  I'd not had change to have a play with her so I thought I'd use her for the new Facebook challenge over at All Dressed Up.

I've coloured her with ProMarkers.

I've cut her out and left plenty of room to add a sentiment from wood chip elements form Scrapienic, which have been coloured with black ProMarker,

The design paper if from Lemoncraft.  I've also used some black card.

My final touch are a few pink sequins

Hope you love my inspiration and we see you at the challenge.  Don't forget we also have the challenge blog :D
