Hoppy Birthday

This new image Sebastian was named by Frances Casados in my latest Facebook Game.  You can now find Sebastian in my shop on Etsy and did you know if you quote code SKIANDREA10 you can get 10% off my images :)

This image was coloured with Copics, polychromos pencils and white gel pen.  As I was colouring it I managed to get some ink on the background so I decided to expand the background to make it look like long fuzzy grass - ooops :D  I did this using Chameleon pens and polychromos pencils.  I actually quite like how it turned out.

Creating a simple CAS card, I've used some Kraft to mount the image onto.  Borders have been doodles with a biro.  the sentiment was created at the time of printing.  My only embellishment are a few olive green gems

Lilly in Orange

Today I'm trying out my Lilly image from SheepSki Designs in orange.  By the way you can get my images with 10% off by quoting SKIANDREA10 on Etsy ;)

I've used Copics and polychromos pencils to colour her with, creating shine of her hair, lips and the lilies.

Layered papers are from Joy Crafts and I've also used some black card stock.  The design papers and the image were distressed.

Added embellishments are a tiny jewelled butterfly from Little B. A birthday sentiment from Scrapienic coloured with black Copic and a few black gems

Snappy Birthday

This is month we're sponsored by Aurora Wings at Outlawz Sketch.  I've chosen to use Venus Flytrap Sprite for my inspiration today

She's been coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  Hand cut she's then been mounted onto some black card cut with a Spellbinders die.

I've used one design paper from Lili of the Valley, some red and black card stock, so the card has lots of layers.

I printed the Snappy birthday sentiment at the same time as the image and cut it out as a strip instead of using some ribbon.  My only embellishments are two silver bee charms.

Wild Roses Freebie

Heads Up everyone!  There is a planned freebie event coming up.

This is my new image Wild Roses.  Now you may or may not know I've got close ties with Through The Craft Room Door.  They were my very first DT - to say I was scared was an understatement.  I'd only just done a guest design spot for the ABC Challenge which has now sadly closed.  Without the encouragement and support from the lovely ladies over there - some of them I still work with I wouldn't be here creating these lovely images for you all and be able to give you the opportunity for freebies!

We're planning a combined freebie event on the weekend of 4 / 5 February.  All you have to do is join Through The Craft Room Door Facebook Group to grab it.  Cara will be posting it for that weekend only.  That will be your only opportunity to get it as it's not even in my shop!

Here is my version coloured, you're likely to see a few around being coloured up by the Design Team for Through The Craft Room Door for your inspiration.

To create this I've used Copics and polychromos pencils (on the flowers), ProMarkers and polychromos pencils (on the leaves) and Chameleon Pens for the background.  I've already been asked by my own DT how I created the back ground so I'm thinking I probably need to do a tutorial.  I also need to experiment with Copics and ProMarkers to see if I can do something similar with those.  I know few people have Chameleon Pens.

Here's the black and white watermarked version of the image

My inspiration for this image was the wild roses that grew in my grandparents back garden.  All I remember is a mass of amazingly gorgeous flowers growing up against the garage.  I wanted to try and capture the beauty of them and be able to share it.

So here's my finished card

Added to the image is some embossing enamel.  It's been mounted onto some back card stock.  Both the image and the card stock have been distressed.

There are a few black gems and a sentiment from Scrapienic coloured with black ProMarker.

New Baby Card

Been sooooo busy trying to get the challenge blog up and running that I'm a bit late blogging my card and I've still loads to do on the new blog - LOL!

Today for my inspiration I've used Baby Feet.  They've been coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils and cut out with a Spellbinders die.

The design paper is from Maya Design, the piece I cut out with a Spellbinders die behind the image was distressed with a nail file (fine sand paper would work just as well).

I've doodled some borders with a biro around the image and the while card it's mounted onto.  I actually cheated a bit here.  I coloured the image, cut it out and then mounted in back onto the original coloured card, that's why you can see some coloured sections underneath the image :D

The sentiment was printed at the same time as the image and my finishing touches are two silver dragonfly charms, a couple of sequins and a few rhine stones to add a bit of bling.

Country Girl

It was about this time last year I first created and we at Outlawz Sketch used this image Annabel.  so I thought I'd use it in my inspiration today.  She's available in my shop if you haven't seen her before.

She's been coloured with ProMarkers, cut out and the edges distressed with Shaded Lilac ink from Tim Holtz.

Lara Croft Meets Disney

Inspired by two things from my youth (Lara Croft and Disney Animated Films) I've come up with this image Butterfly Hair.  Lara has either a long thick braid/plait and Disney are famous for their animals and birds helping the main characters.

This image has been coloured with Copics and plychromos pencils (Christmas present from my hubby).  the edges distressing before mounting onto some plain white card.

The design paper (also distressed) is from Joy Craft.  Underneath the image is a piece of plain white card cut with a Tim Holtz thinlits die (660220).  I used this to look like a piece of trellis to add some flowers to.

The flower arrangement used the last of my pink Kort & Godt flowers and some paper blossoms which I can only describe a crushed into shape.

There's also some wood chip elements from Scrapienic and some pink and cream pearl gems.

I designed this new image thinking it could be used for many occasions.  Valentine's is just around the corner, Mother Day soon.  Birthdays etc. etc.  At first I did it as just the flowers and then as an after thought I added Flutterby.  The image when you get it comes as two versions (with and without the butterfly)

Pink Freesia Vase

Well the last week flew by!  We're sponsored this month by Aurora Wings at the Outlawz Sketch Team.

My inspiration for you today is with Freesia Vase.  coloured with Copics and polchromos pencils

The image and the border behind were cut using Spellbinders dies.

I've used design papers from First Edition and Santoro

The strips of yellow design paper were cut using another Spellbinder die.  To finish off a wooden sentiment from Scrapienic, a few pearl gems and some tiny silver dragonfly charms.

Dream Dress

Based on my own wedding dress, I've created this new image called Dream Dress.  It's not an exact copy (I think Ian Stuart would have something to say about copyright if I had :D LOL!)

Incredible and flamboyant I felt like a million dollars in my dress - all be it I felt like i was wearing a car it was sooooo heavy!!

She's a challenge to colour but well worth it and perfect for CAS cards although I'll be very interested to see what people create with her.

I've used PorMarkers and my new polychromos pencils (full set - YAY!) to colour her.

I didn't want anything to take away the beauty of the dress so I've created a simple single layer card.  I've doodles a bit of a border then added a couple of sequins and rhine stones to finish.

Fairy Faye

Do you know I had real trouble with this one.  My image Faye (available at SheepSki Designs with 10% discount on Etsy if you use code SKIANDREA10) was coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

I was trying out my new pencils my hubby got me for Christmas - I was happy with the image but the I couldn't find any design papers in my stash to go with it that didn't drown the image out! Eventually I found something :D

Once I'd coloured the image I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and  distressed the edges with Shaded Lilac in from Tim Holtz.

It's been mounted onto some design paper from Our Daily Bread cut with a Spellbinders die.

The shaped card is covered with some deep blue design card stock.  On top of this I've used design papers from Docrafts and First Edition.  The First Edition paper has also had the edges treated with Shaded Lilac ink.

Both design papers were distressed before mounting onto the card.

The image went on next and over the top of this some card stock cut with a Joy Crafts mushroom die.  I also used the Shaded Lilac ink of the edges of this.

My final embellishments were some butterflies from Scrapienic and some blue and pearl gems

Valentine

Valentines will be here before we know it.  This is the first card I've made this year for it.  I've created a CAS card using my newly created image Valentine from SheepSki Designs on Etsy - click here find the image and you can use code SKIANDREA10 to get yourselves 10% off at checkout

Winter Elf

Hmmmm... this may not be my last Christmas card.  I seem to have gotten into the swing of making them!

I've used Winter Sprite from Aurora Wings for my inspiration for the new Outlawz Sketch Challenge this week.  We've sponsored by Aurora Wings for January.

I've used Copics and polychromos pencils to colour this, adding some snowtex and tiny silver snowflake charms.

The sentiment I added is from Scrapienic, added a glitter wooden snow flake to fit in with the theme and some pearl gems.

A Challenge for Fantasy Lovers

New Year, New Month and New Challenge on the All Dressed Up Facebook Group.  Although this post has gone live at the usual time I'll be a little late posting the challenge in the group today due to New Year family visits :D

This month we'd love to see your Magical World creations (a great opportunity to use your favourite fairies, angels and anything else you can make magical) with Wendy's images available on Etsy

I've used Flower Fairy for my inspiration for you.

The image was coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  The oval of the image cut out by hand before mounting onto some Maja Design paper cut with a Spellbinder die.  Bothe of these have been distressed with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.

The other design paper, which I distressed, were also from Maja Design. 

Behind the image is a piece of lace which I bought from The Ribbon Girl, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to the top left.

The birthday sentiment and wispy looking leaves are chip board elements from Scrapienic.  Finally I just added a few pearl gems
