Purple haze

Reminder day for the Oddball Art blog challenge.  We've an anything goes themed challenge this time.

She's been coloured with ProMarkers, then cut out and distressed.

Here's a close up of the top section.  I've used three dies here and one at the right hand side (you can just see peeping out under the design paper).  They are from Tim Holtz, Little Darlings and Memory Box.  The flowers were all from The Ribbon Girl.  There are also two silver dragonfly charms and some tiny purple paper flowers from Hobby Craft.

The design papers are form Joy Crafts, Our Daily Bread and Craft & You.  Some of these have been distressed.  The whole layout have been mounted onto some black card stock to frame it.

Finally I've added some purple gems from Scrap Berry, a resin corner and a wood chip birthday sentiment from Scrapienic.

Beary good Christmas

Finally had a little time to colour up my latest new release image.  We had a competition in my SheepSki Designs Facebook Group - the name I chose was Ice & Cubes. You can find this image on Etsy - click here :D

At the moment I have a discount code running to give you 10% off - just quote SKIANDREA10 at checkout!
Ice & Cubes had been coloured with ProMarkers.  I've used slightly yellow tones around the edges to give the impression of depth and shadow on the white polar bears.

This was an image I wanted to showcase so I've created a one layer card.  There's some doodling with a biro round the edges to frame the image.

The textured snow has been created using snowtex.  The only thing I've added are some silver snowflake charms and a wooden hear Christmas sentiment from Hobby Craft

Hmmmm.... thinking I'd better start getting my skates on making Christmas card now we've not long left!

Bubble bath

October with Outlawz Sketch and Bloobel Stamps has been lost of Halloween fun!  This latest inspiration is using Hubble Bubble has been coloured with ProMarkers.  The edges of the image was distressed with antique linen ink from Tim Holtz before mounting onto some back card stock to frame it.
Here's our sketch for this week

I flipped mine round and instead of using ribbon I used an icicle die from Marianne Craftables - but I used orange design paper and turned it upside down to look like flames.

Instead of flowers I used a wood chip sentiment which I though went perfectly with the image.  I coloured it with ProMarker before sticking it to the card.

The design papers were all from Joy Crafts and the only other embellishment I used were a couple of black gems.

Hope you like my inspiration and hope to see you at the challenge

Grunge lace canvas

I decided to colour mine in pink, green and yellow.  I then glued it onto a canvas base and cut it to size.  on top of this I've added some gauze.

To the left side I've added a couple of die cuts from Little Darlings and Tom Holtz.  Once this was done and dried I've added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, The Ribbon Girl and Live & Love Crafts.

This one a close up of the bottom section

And this one a close up of the top section

From this picture you can see I've added a couple of sentiments from Scrapienic.  I had a bit a nightmare with these.  Originally I had them coloured black and they disappeared into the background.  Then I tried a few other colours but nothing looked right.  In the end I've added them in their natural colour and just added some DecoArt glitter over the top to add some sparkle.

Here you can see I've taken a photo from the side so you can see the 3d effect of the flowers.

My final picture is a full view facing.  Let me know what you would have thought might have worked with the sentiments.  I'll be interested in what you think too :D

Sleepy fox

I've coloured him with Copics and a dark red polychromos pencil.  I've cut a circle round the image (his tail hanging outside) then mounted him onto some black card stock cut with a Spellbinders die.

The design papers are from Joy Crafts and I've used some more card stock.  The only embellishments are some black gems and a sentiment from Scrapienic.

Hope you love my inspiration for the new image and don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's makes on the blog

Snappy

This is a card I've made for my cousin's birthday.  I though she's like this quirky image from Bloobel Stamps called Venus Von Trap.
She's been coloured with ProMarkers.  I've then used some antique linen and vintage photo distress ink and finally added some embossing enamel

Design papers are from Lili of the Valley and First Edition.  My only embellishment for this card are a few golden gems to compliment the colour of the design paper

Its All a Bit Greek To Me

I've drawn images that have been a challenge before - well yes I've gone and done it again.  Not only was it a challenge to draw this but colour - to get the look I wanted was a nightmare!  It's taken me days!!  Anyway I'm totally happy with the result and am now wondering if I could do a black and white mono version :D

If you love this and any of my other images you can get them now with a discount by quoting my DT's codes.  They all have one and mine is SKIANDREA10.  Use it on Etsy to get yourselves 10% off!

So this is Maddy and her Addies inspired by all those Medusa films and Greek Mythology I watched and read as a child.  She's been coloured with ProMarkers but mainly polychromos pencils.

After all that work I definitely wanted to show her off on a CAS style card.  All I've used is some black card stock to frame her.

Both the card stock and the image have been distressed.  The edges of the image card have also been distressed with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo in from Tim Holtz.

The only embellishment you can see are a few scattered gems of grey, green and black.

This is my inspiration card for my new challenge starting in the SheepSki Designs Facebook Group today.  the them is anything goes as long as you use one of my images and there are some freebies in the group - no excuses then ;)

I'm also sharing in the Facebook group my newly recruited DT's inspiration cards.  So happy to have you on board and working with you lovely ladies

We're sponsored this month by Bloobel Stamps at Outlawz Sketch.

My last two inspiration card have been Halloween ones so this time I decided to use Birthday Cupcake for a change of theme.

He's been coloured with ProMarkers and a black polychromos pencil.  Cut out with a Spellbinders die I've then distressed the edges with Antique linen distress ink from Tim Holtz.

Here's our sketch for this week which I've flipped when I made my card.

Design paper are from Lili of the Valley, Maja Design and Joy Crafts.

The only embellishments are a sentiment coloured with ProMarkers and a few brown gems.

Book club

We don't often have them at Oddball Art for the blog but this time we've got an Anything Goes challenge with out theme What's You're Doing :D  We'll hopefully get to see lots of your beautiful creations.

This one is image 24.  Once upon a time a long, long, long time ago I used to read, a LOT.  But now I'm all crafty I hardly read and have turned to audio books LOL!
Anyway this little cutie image has been coloured with Copics.  Mounted onto some black card stock to frame it I've added it to layers of papers from Santoro and Our Daily Bread with some more black card stock.

I've then doodles some words with border all about reading, book club etc. and cut them out to put onto the card.  My only other addition - some black gems

Hope we see you at the challenge

Reindeer lessons

Christmas is coming and our new challenge at the ABC Challenge is R for Red, Ribbon and Reindeer sponsored by Live and Love Crafts.
I've used a cutie image from Tiddly Inks called Reindeer Games.  The image was coloured with ProMarkers, Copics and black polychromos pencil.

I've gone for a simple layout to showcase the image.  Used in this card are black card stock and one design paper from Maja Design

Heart ribbon and a Merry Christmas ribbon complete the look with a few black gems.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with

Haunted House

Ever seen though films with Haunted Houses in them?  This was my inspiration for drawing this image Hallow Hall.  You can find it in my shop here on Etsy or alternatively you can join my Facebook Group where it's a freebie :D click here
The image was coloured with ProMarkers, Copics, black polychromos and biro.  The image has been framed with some back card stock.

I've combined Hallow House with Claire Bear my zombie teen.  I created Claire Bear for the recent Marker Papers Digis challenge on Facebook.  Claire Bear is available in my shop on Etsy click here.

Claire Bear has been fussy cut and mounted at the front of the card to make it look like she's standing in front of the house.

Boo!  Happy Halloween - well nearly, only a couple more weeks to go :D

Beanie Babe

I launched this image a couple of weeks ago.  She's a young trendy thing called Rachel wearing a beanie hat.  Hopefully she's going to be a versatile image that can be used for all sorts of occasions.

For this card I've coloured her with a compination of Copics and ProMarkers.  She's then been fussy cut ready for mounting onto the card.

Here's a close up of my flower arrangement.  Used in this are flowers, leaves and chipboard from The Ribbon Girl, Wild Orchid Crafts, Live & Love Crafts, Hobby Craft (wedding section) and Scrapienic.
Towards the bottom you can also see some organza rose trim ribbon.

I've made a very pink shaped card so all the papers have been hand cut to share and size.  These are from Lili of the Valley and First Edition.  I've chosen to do a non traditional colour - pink for breast cancer awareness :D

The snowflakes are Scrapienic wood chip, there a re a few pearl gems and the whole card has had lashings of DecoArt loose glitter applied to finish the Christmassy feel.

Love to see what you create with her.  You can share your creations in my SheepSki Designs Facebook Group where I also hold anything goes challenges (as long as you use one of my images).  Pop on over there are also some freebies in my group

Potions

Witches tis the season for witches.  Lisa has asked us to do some Halloween creations over at Outlawz Sketch this month which she is sponsoring.  You can find The Tallest Hat in her Etsy Bloobel shop.
I've coloured this one with ProMarkers.  Around the image I've used a Halloween stamp (part of a Paperartsy set) giving the whole card a witches and potion theme.  Around the edges of the image I've used some Tim Holtz Milled Lavender distress ink.  It's been mounted onto some black card stock and I've added a couple of purple star stickers from Paperchase.

Here's our sketch for today

Design papers are from Out Daily Bread and Joy Crafts.  I've also used some more black card stock.  Along the bottom is a thin gingham ribbon which I got from Crafty Ribbons.

To complete the potion / witch theme I've added a flower and skull sticker from Paperchase and stamped a poison bottle onto some left over green paper.  This is again part of the Paperartsy set.

Hope you like my creation - see you at the challenge

Magical Evening

Wendy has done nothing but her usual and created some amazing images for this months image release at All Dressed Up.  You can fid then on Etsy and this one is Have A Magical Evening

I did something very unusual and decided on my colour pallet for this one before I coloured the image, usually I just wing it LOL!!

Purple, black and yellow ProMarkers were used along with grey Copic for the background and a little polychromos pencil.

Cut at an angle with a Spellbinders die the edges have been distressed with ink from Tim Holtz.

Here's a close up of my flower arrangement, these were from Wild Orchid Crafts and The Ribbon
Girl.  The little black cat you can see is from Diamante Crafts.

The black half moon shape with stars is cut from black card stock with a Marianne Design.  Papers are from Studio Lite and Our Daily Bread, there's also some more black card stock.

Final embellishments are some stick on stars and a purple heart sticker from Paperchase and a few purple gems and a strip of skinny purple ribbon.

Don't forget to check out the blog and Facebook where there will be some more inspiration.  We also have challenge is in both of these :D

Wyrd Sisters

Outlawz Sketch are being sponsored by Bloobel Stamps this month.  If you love quirky and funny stamps this is the place for you :D

I've used two on Lisa's images for my inspiration Cat in Her Hat and Cast a Spell.  I've gone for traditional Halloween colours using ProMarkers.

I made a card to honour Sir Terry Pratchett earlier in the week and I think he must have still been on my mind when I made this one - hence the Wyrd Sisters LOL!!

This our sketch which I stayed pretty close to this week.

Most of this card was done with orange and black card stock.  There is one small section of design paper from Craftwork Cards under the sentiment.

Embellishments are black gems, a glitter stick on bat which I got in Hobby Crafty a couple of years ago in the kids section hee hee....
I've also used some black ric rac ribbon and a couple of purple gems which I found in the jewellery section at Hobby Craft.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Today I'm sponsoring Crafting by Designs where I'm also a guest designer this month thank you for inviting me :D

I've used Emmy's Hat for my inspiration today - you can find this in my Etsy shop here.  I've used my okd faithful ProMarkers to colour the image and used a little biro to highlight her hair.

All the papers and the image have been distressed.  I've only used black card stock and purple design paper from Studio Lite.

Completing the black and purple theme are a few black gems, a wood chip sentiment colour with black ProMarker and a black ribbon with a hand tied bow.

Owl Always Love You

Yay, back off holiday and I've found a little time to colour up my latest doodling and get it onto a card!

I was inspired to draw them in part by being in the beautiful Lake District and also because I have two of those wheat owls you warm in the microwave (hee hee)
I've coloured these owls in traditional autumn colours using Copics and polychromos pencils (I was thinking about doing them pink and white like my owls, maybe do that one day)

I wanted to showcase the image and keep them as the centre of attention, so I've created this as a CAS card.

It's one layer with a doodled biro border.  The love sentiment is wood chip (found in the wedding section at Hobby Craft) and has been coloured with black Copic.

I've added a few brown and black gems and a tiny brown wooden heart.

Hope you love my creation

Its a colour thing

I was up in the Lake District last week - autumn - was no where to be seen.  Everything still looked lush and green.

This is supposed to be the season of leaves falling and lovely hot colours - my favourite season :D

We've a new challenge starting today ay All Dressed Up on Facebook the theme is Autumn / Halloween

I've used something a little different to show you you can use any image, you just need to use the right colours, papers and embellies.  This one is Butterfly Kisses Girl
I've used ProMarkers and a little black polychromos pencil to colour her with.  She's been cut out with a Spellbinders die and then mounted onto some black card stock cut with a Spellbinders Die.

Here's a close up of my flower section - all there can be found at Wild orchid Crafts and The Ribbon Girl.  The wood chip is from Scrapienic.

The shaped card has been covered with black card stock.  The design papers from Santoro and Prima Marketing.  Both of these have been distressed.

Finally I've added a couple of wood chip leaves to add to the Autumn theme and a wood chip sentiment coloured with black ProMarker (all from Scrapienic).  I've also added a few black gems.

If you haven't already seen we've announced our new Dressy girls today for both the blog team and the Facebook Team - welcome to the team ladies :D
