Rudolf's Mischief

Santa's looking a little puzzled - where's his hat gone!  This new image from SheepSki Designs is called Rudolf's Mischief
I've coloured it with Copics and added a little black polychromos pencil.  As you can see from the next picture Rudolf has Santa's hat and is looking very pleased with himself!

This comes as a two part set so you can size them as you like.  I've done mine as a CAS card, even making it one layer.

The sentiment was computer generated at the time of printing the digis.

Have fun ;)

Monochrome Steampunk

Today is mid way reminder day for the blog challenge at Oddball Art - the theme this month is real easy - GIRL.

Last time I used this image I decided to do her as a journal page.  This time I've done her as a vintage style CAS card.  I've used monochromatic tones with my Copics which go perfectly with Steampunk images.  I've made the close up larger so you can get a better look.

The design has been kept very simple with this one, there's no design paper and it's just one layer (think I'm getting a bit more confident with CAS designs now)

The only embellishment I've used are a few Tim Holtz cogs to compliment the theme.

Hope you love my card and you'll pop along and join us

Poison

Comes in small bottles - well I've decided to do a small version with this Rick St Dennis image (Smilin Joe Skull with Roses) and make a tag :D

I've had this image coloured up for ages (using ProMarkers).  You might be able to tell because my colouring style has improved somewhat.  I'd cut the image out with a die originally but decided I'd not left enough white space.  So there it sat on my table waiting for some inspiration.

My hubby loves skulls and his birthday was coming up.  I'd bought some him some whiskey and decided it needed a tag -  fussy cutting the image I held it up to a tag and found it was the perfect size - yay!

Papers used are black card stock (distressed), Docrafts and Santoro, more card stock cut with a Tim Hotlz die.  there's also a piece of black lace, a wooden golden arrow, some black gems, letter beads to make up the poison sentiment and some mixed ribbon and thread in black, grey, pink and burgundy.

Here's the finished product - it came out fab.  GOT to do some more of these

Cre8tive Fairy

This is our last challenge of the May at Outlawz Sketch team using Cre8tive Hands images.

This cute little fairy has been coloured with grey and ivory ProMarker to make it look like her clothes are shimmering.  This is the first time I've done this and I love the effect.

She's been fussy cut and mounted onto some First Edition paper cut with a Spellbnders die.  There are two more layers of design paper which are also from First Edition and all have been distressed with Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.

Here's our sketch for today

I've used some white velvet ric rac, a white poinsettia and two gold gems to complete the card,

A few of us have used this image this week so it's worth checking out the challenge just to see the DT inspiration even if you've not time to join us this week

Blue

I've got a little extra DT inspiration from Oddball Art for you today.  This creepy cute bug is image 283 - you can buy him and other Oddball images with 10% off by using my code DTANDREA10 :D

I wasn't sure what to do with him at first.  After colouring him blue he sat in my file for a couple weeks until I had a brainwave to make him into a CAS card.

He's been coloured with ProMarkers then fussy cut to mount onto the card.

The sentiment was printed onto some plain card stock.  I've used a blue ProMarkers and a blender for the fuzzy blue look around the image.

There one piece of plain design paper from Lili of the Valley and I've used a couple of blue sequins and some blue and clear gems to finish the card off.

Hope you love my buggy card :D

Golden Bleet

I thought I'd make a Christmas card in non traditional colours for a change.  Using A Star is Born from All Dressed Up, I've used a golden theme.

The image coloured with ProMarkers has been cut out and distressed.  The design papers from Maya Design and First Edition have also been distressed before layering up.

The golden half circle with stars is a Marianne Design die using some gold card.

The star embellishments are Tim Hotlz grunge board.  I'e used a gold ProMarker to colour them with and there are some golden gems.

Hope you like my golden Christmas card :D

Breena

I wasn't sure which way to go when I printed off this little cutie from SheepSki Designs - it's called Breena & Bear.

Her wings are quite intricate and butterfly like, so at first I thought about doing her in hot colours.  As you can see I completely changed my mind.
I've used ProMarkers blending Pastel blue and Ivory for her wings.  I also decided she looked quite cool with white hair so I've just added a little grey for shadow.

At the edges of the images I've dotted blue ProMarker then added some DecoArt glitter and tiny white stars for magic.  (The stars are actually left overs from some labels I make with a Spellbinders die)

The design papers are all from Lili of the Valley and the sentiment is one of theirs coloured with ProMarker.  The only embellishment are some pearl gems

Hope you love my little fairy

Holiday Time

It's my turn today to share some inspiration for All Dressed Up's new release images.  I got to use Sandy Beach.

This is such a fantastic image I decide to do it as a CAS card and showcase it.

I've used ProMarkers to colour this with.  If you look carefully you can see the sky is darker at the top.  I've been studying the sky lately to see if I can improve my colouring of it.

I've kept the beach and background muted to the pops of orange, green and blue really stand out.
I've drawn some faux stitching around the edge of the image so it's in keeping with Wendy's designs.  All I've used apart from this is a piece of blue card stock.

Pop of PINK

I love making monochromatic cards.  It reminds me of sketching when I was young.

The image I've used here is Waiting for Spring from Saturated Canary.
Instead of doing the whole image in grey scale I decided to add a pop of colour.  As this is a spring themed card I've used my favourite colour PINK!! :D

I've used several neutral grey Copics to produce this and one pink.

To showcase the image I've used a simple layout and used design paper from Docraft and a scrap of let over paper from Lili of the Valley.  There's also some black card stock to frame the layers.

The only embellishment are some black gems.

A Little Worried

This cute little bunny from Cre8tive Hands (our sponsor at Outlawz Sketch) looks a little worried to me, or maybe just curious :D

He's been coloured white by using some grey Copics.  The rest was done with ProMarkers.

Here's our sketch for today.

I've used neutral design papers to make a clean looking card so the green and pink on the image pop.  The design papers are from Maja Design and First Edition.

I've had the ribbon for a while now but I think it was a Docrafts one and made a hand tied bow.

I've finished the card off with a few black gems and left it blank so it can be personalised later.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Just a little note

It's been a while I've made a thank you card and since I coloured Annabell.  I first did her back in January and though it was about time I made a card with her in my favourite colours.  You can find Annabell in my shop on Etsy SheepSki Designs.

Small steps I might get there one day and get a design team and blog challenge going!

Anyway back to Annabell.  I've coloured her using ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

The edges of the image have been distressed with antique linen ink from Tim Holtz.

I used some scraps of design papers from Lili of the Valley but I also used some new papers I got from Noor Design yesterday by Studio Light.  Thank you Tracy for shipping so quickly :D

My final additions to this card are some pearl gems, some tiny dragonfly charms (found on Amazon) and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley coloured with ProMarker.

Birthday Skull

My hubby loves skulls so I decided to do him one for his birthday card.  Last year I did him death for his 50th birthday and he thought it was ace!!

You can find this image Skully Roses at SheepSki Designs

The image has been coloured with a combination of ProMarkers, Copics and polychromos pencils.

The back ground have been done with several grey Copics and a black polychromos pencil.

I've mounted the image onto some plain black card stock.  Both have been distressed.  The sentiment is black card stock cut out with a Spellbinders die.

The only embellishment are a few black gems in the corners
Now to keep it hidden for a week :D

I've no design team yet, there's only me at the moment.  So hopefully soon I'll be holding a design team call and start up an anything goes blog challenge

Thanks for taking the time to read

Pixie Pete

This little cutie is Pixie Pete image 306 - I just love him!!  He's one of Lizzy's new release images today

When I first printed him I wasn't sure if the mushroom would be overpowering at this size.  The only way to find out was to colour the image up and see.  It wasn't until I got the last it of shading on I went phew!  I didn't need to start again and redesign my card

So creating a scene for a CAS card, I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.

The image has been cut just short of the card then the edges have been distressed.  For a bit of magic (he's a pixie after all) I've added a few Rhine stones.

Check out the main blog for the rest of the teams inspiration for the new releases :D

I've used ProMarkers and polchromos pencils to colour him with.

Surrounded by a red card stock border, I've mounted him onto some more white and red card.

No design paper were used for this one.

The only embellishment are some tiny red gems.

As well as the blog challenge don't forget we've also a Facebook Challenge - this month it's themed Blue

GIRL!

We've a new themed challenge starting today at Oddball Art - GIRL!  Are you getting the theme of the challenges yet?  There's a link to them all.

I've used image 292 for my inspiration today

She's been coloured with ProMarkers and I've used a black biro to add some dark shading in her hair.  At the other end of the spectrum I've left some nearly white patched and added some glitter as if its the light from the stars shining.

The image has been distressed then mounted onto design papers from Lili of the Valley and Docrafts.

The glitter added to the star and hair is DecoArt loose glitter, the blue stars are a combination of stickers from Paperchase and some blue gems.

The purple pearl gems are my finishing touch.

Hope you like my inspiration for today - the challenge is an easy one so hope to see lots of you there

H is for Heavy

We're onto H already at the ABC Challenge.  We'd like to see your cards loaded up with die and embellishments.

Our sponsor this time is Marianne Design

This little cutie is a clear stamp called Lazy Daisy.  She's been coloured with ProMarkers and cut out with a Spellbinders die .  I've then used another die to cut the pink border behind her to frame the image.

The design paper are from First Edition, Studio Light, Lili of the Valley and Joycraft.

The banner was created using a La La Land Die and then sentiment coloured with ProMarker is a Lili of the Valley one.

I've finished the card off with some pearl gems and a scattering of paper flowers.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Cascade

I only got this the other day and seen as I had five minutes - LOL!! it took more than that :D
I decided to get her coloured up and onto a card before I started anything else

The image is one of Julia Spiri's called The Flower Girl
I printed her at the bottom right of some card  so I could do something in the space to the left of the image. The image itself has been coloured with ProMarkers.

There's one design paper from Craftwork Cards.  That and the image has both been distressed before mounting onto the card.

The image is all girly and flowery so I'd already decided I wanted to do a flower cascade down the left hand side.  I've used paper flowers from Hobbycraft in two different sizes to do this.

I've just added one other thing.  Some pink gems on the top right corner.

The image has been coloured with Copic and I've just used some design paper to frame him.

Here's our sketch for today

I've pretty much stuck with it this week, so this card can be used for a guy or a girl.

Design papers are from Lili of the Valley and I've used some red card stock.
