Pink Hibiscus

This beautiful image is Hibiscus Spirit from Aurora Wings, our wonderful sponsor for March at the Outlawz Sketch Team.
This image has been coloured with ProMarkers in pastel shades, then I've added some depth with polychromos pencils.
Cut out with a Spellbinders die, I've added some pink ProMarker to the edge of the die to soften the bright white of the card.

Here's our sketch for today

The design paper is from Santoro and the scalloped edges lace is from Live and Love Crafts.

I've flipped the sketch for my inspiration card and added some hemp string and some white paper flowers.  The flowers I coloured with ProMarker as an experiment.  I was happy with the result so used them here :D

Hope to see you over at the challenge where we offer an extra prize if we get above 35 entries!

Lil Hippy Chic

We've here already at the midway reminder for our current blog challenge at Oddball Art - Watchin' Rainbows.  As it's mid way reminder this means I get to play with Lizzy's images and show you an anything goes themed creation.

I've chosen to use image number 244 for my inspiration for you today and make something spring like.
She's been coloured with ProMarkers and mounted onto some purple design paper to frame her.  The dots at the edge of the image were created with the same ProMarkers.  Design papers are from Lili of the Valley & Santoro Gorjuss and there's some white card cut with a Little Darlings die behind the image.

The scattering of flowers are from Hobby Craft and there are two wooden butterflies from Scrapiniec.

Hope to see you at the challenge - if the theme is a bit too much of a challenge for you this time don't forget we've an anything goes challenge on Facebook :D

Hmmm... parasol or brolly you decide

This image is called Becca and you can find her in my shop SheepSki Designs (I've just added her)
She's been coloured with ProMarkers so she has beautiful blonde hair and a simple pallet of red and white.  I'm still now sure if she's got a brolly or a parasol - but I suppose she could be coloured with either in mind (walking on a spring day or in the rain).  I've coloured her with a Spring day on mind.

The design papers (there are actually six layers) are from Lili of the Valley and Wild Rose Studio.  They've been distressed as has the image.  I've also added a sprinkling on embossing enamel to the image.

I've used a Spellbinders die to create the lacy border to the left of the image.

There are lots of added extras on this card the organza rose trim, pearl trim, roses and rose buds were from Wild Orchid Crafts.  There are some hotensias from Live and Love Crafts.  The Lace, orchid and pearl pin were from The Ribbon Girl.

I've also added a piece of chip board flower which is Dusty Attic and some silver dragonfly charms that I found on Amazon.

Hope you like my new creation

What a shock

Hee hee - here's a card I've made using a card for my brother in law for his birthday :D

It's called We Are No Evil from Aurora Wings.  Mitzi is sponsoring us at the Outlawz Sketch team for this month.

I've coloured this image using a combination of Copics and ProMarkers trying to make the owls different colours.

Here's our sketch for this week

I've kept the design paper natural earthy colours to go with the image.  Instead of buttons I've added some black gems.

The sentiment was made out of some glitter letters :D
Hope you like my inspiration for today

Wedding Season

Today I get to share with you some inspiration for All Dressed Up.  Wendy has released her wedding images this month, this one is The Gorgeous Bride.

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and then cut out, the edges being distressed with antique linen ink fro Tim Holtz.
Some First Edition paper had been cut with a Spellbinders die and distressed with the same ink.  The image has then been mounted onto it.

The rest of the design paper are from Wild Rose Studio.  they have also been distressed with antique linen die.

The lace you can see behind the image is from The Ribbon Girl.  The flowers a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live & Love Crafts.  The mini resin picture frame was also from Live & Love Crafts.

My final touches for this card are some pearl gems and a sentiment from a Lili of the Valley Art pad.

This card is perfect for our Facebook challenge of Flowers - be sure to check it out.  We also have a challenge on the blog of Anything Goes using an All Dressed Up image.

Follow the White Rabbit

Tonight I'm sharing with you a newly created image Humphrey, you can find him here :D

He's been coloured with Copics and ProMarkers, cut out with a Spellbinders die. The edge of the die has been coloured with pink ProMarker.

The design papers are from Studio 75 and Lili of the Valley.  The sentiment was computer produced and had to be a Hoppy Easter with the image being a ribbit :D

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts.
My finishing touches are a few pink gems and some tiny silver dragonfly charms which I found on Amazon

Humphrey's names after my mother in laws neighbours rabbit (he's a bit of a giant so mine is much smaller and cuter LOL!!)

Beautiful wings

We're using beautiful images from Aurora Wings for our challenges at the Outlawz Sketch team for March.  The image I'm using here for my card today is called Shades of Blue and has gorgeous wings.
I've used ProMarkers to colour the image then added a few blue sequins and gems to add some sparkle.

This is our sketch for today.  For my inspiration I've flipped it onto its side and instead of using some ric rac or ribbon I've just used a different coloured design paper and distressed the edges of it.

The design paper I've used are from Lili of the Valley and First Edition.  There are a couple of teal flowers which I got in Hobby Craft and my for you sentiment is from Lemon Craft.

Free hug anyone?

Lizzy's new release images are out today!  I got to play with image 299 this time :D

She's a little cutie in a dino hoody.  I've coloured her in pastel shades using ProMarkers.

If you love her and any of Lizzy's other images you can get 10% off at checkout on Etsy by quoting DTANDREA10
The hearts, skull, stars and sentiment that come with the image were all fussy cut then mounted onto the card.

I've used design papers from Lili of the Valley, Wild Rose Studio and First Edition.

Only one tiny embellishment, some pink gems in the bottom corner :D
Check out the main Oddball Art blog for the rest of the teams inspiration on the new releases.

What does too many mean....

.... personally I don't think I've enough but my hubby probably wouldn't agree - LOL!

What am I talking about - shoes and handbags of course :D

Today if you don't already know if the start of a new challenge at All Dressed Up. The challenge on the blog is themed Anything Goes but you must use an All Dressed Up image for your entry to count.

This beautiful image is one of Wendy's new stamps from Little Darling Rubber Stamps - it's called A Girl Can't Have Too Many.  This is the first time I've used one of their stamps and I must say they're very good quality and produce very clear images to colour.  I stamped this one first time and was able to use it.  Sometimes you have to mess about with pressure to get them to come out right.

Anyway.... I've coloured her with Copics, cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and edged it with Copic.  The shoes and handbag were fussy cut and added to the card later.

The design papers are from Lili of the Valley and Docrafts.

The die I've used behind the image is a Little Darlings one.  I've added one glossy heart sticker from Paperchase.

The flowers which are scattered around the card are a purchase from Hobby Craft.

I'm also going to post this card as inspiration for the current Facebook themed challenge which is Flowers.

You can find many more of Wendy's beautiful images on Etsy for your inspiration

Happy creating :D

In a world where rainbows are PINK!

This is a complete pink dream fantasy scene I've created for the new them at Oddball Art - Watchin Rainbows.  The layout is a two page art journal spread, details below for what I've used.

I've used two of Lizzy's images the first one you can see below is image no 228, the second was a Whimsy stamp called Moondrop.  Both images have been coloured with Copics and ProMarkers, then roughly cut out to mount onto the journal pages.

The clouds were sketched, cut out and edged with pink ProMarker.  At the bottom of the first page is a piece of web ribbon cut out in the shape of hills.

The journal pages have been painted with gesso and a light blue shade of blue acrylic watered down.  I've used some tissue to life some of the colour before it dried to give a washed out patchy look.   The rainbow from image 228 was extended across the art journal ages to join the scene together.

I've mixed different shades of pink acrylic for the rainbow then used a black biro to separate the layers.

The scene at the bottom of the left page has been created with some lose weave jute ribbon, cut out to look like houses.  Both the hills and the houses have been painted with acrylic.  A darker shade of the same colour has been applied to add some shadow to the hills and create windows.

Here you can see a close up of my planets, these were sketched into the background to give a sense of other world fantasy for the PINK dream world.

Before I show my last image of the complete double page spread, here a close up of Moondrop.

And here's the completed pink dream scene.  I've added one resin bird to the pages which I got from The Ribbon Girl.

Hope I've inspired you to create your own fantasy scene :D

Blackberry thieves

Ready for another ABC Challenge? :D

Today we start a new one D is for Delicious.  We're sponsored this time by Bunny Zoe which is where I got this adorable House Mouse stamp set from.

These cheeky little mice helping themselves to black berries have been coloured with ProMarkers, Copics and a black polychromos pencil.

The design papers are a combination from Santoro Gorjuss and Lili of the Valley.  The sentiment is also a Lili of the Valley on from an art pad.

I've not done much with embellishments, I wanted to keep the cuteness of this image as the focus, so all I've used are some green gems.

Love to see what delicious creations you create!

Another one bites the dust

This is a second leaving card I've had to make.  Chloe is leaving us to be a full times sales assistant.

This one had to be more girly and I know she would have like it with plenty of embellishments, BUT, it has to be passed round work for signing and they do tend to destroy things.

The image I've used here is Love is in the Air from All Dressed Up.  The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and I've sketched some clouds in the background.

To complete the card I've done some doodling in biro around the image, some design paper from Lili of the Valley, a sentiment from Lili of the Valley and a few sequins and gems.

We're really sad to see Chloe go and it's going to be so quiet without her.

Mannequin Model

Have you ever noticed shop mannequins have impossible poses?  This is what I've tried to replicate with this image Kitty - Mannequin Model.  She's one of those skinny beautiful boutique models (at least that's how I think of her).
She's been coloured with Copics, cut out with a Spellbinders die.  The die cut has been edged with Copic.

The design papers are from Docrafts, I've also used some black and white card stock.  I used a  Little Darlings die to cut the white stock which you can just see under the image.

The flower cascade is made up from red and white flowers which I got in Hobbycraft.  There are some black gems and I've also added a sentiment from Paperchase.

Happy Crafting :D

Leaving luck

Sharing you today a leaving card I've just made for one of our sales reps at work.  He's going back home broad so we wanted to wish him luck as well as just leaving.

The image I chose to use was from the Doodle Pantry is called Clover Patch Ants.

Coloured with ProMarkers.  The card has to be passed round work for signing so I kept the layout simple with no embellishments.  I've just done some doodling round the edges of the image with a biro.

The only thing I added were a few gems.

Lovely lady

It's a while since I've coloured this beautiful image - Woman with Gardenia and Pearls from Aurora Wings.  Since we're being sponsored by Aurora Wings at Outlawz Sketch this month I though it was an ideal opportunity to colour her again :D

I've done her in very soft pastel pinks using ProMarkers, cut her out with a Spellbinders die then mounted her onto papers from Santoro Gorjuss.

Here's our sketch for today, I've pretty much kept with it today.  Adding a small white flower at the bottom right and a sentiment from a Lili of the Valley Art pad at the top left,

The die I used is a Memory Box one and the tiny stars I've added are left overs from a Spellbinders label.  I save all the punched out bits just for occasions like this :D

Hope to see you over at the challenge

Latin dancing

A few years ago I sketched and painted a flamenco dancer in water colours.  I've not seen many dancer digi's around so I thought I'd try to recreate her.

You can find her here on my Etsy store and I've simply called the image Flamenco.
I've coloured her with ProMarkers and added a little black polychromos pencil and biro for extra dark shading in those folds.

The card has been kept clean and simple to showcase the image.  The design paper is from First Edition.  I've done some doodling around the image and added a few scattered gems to finish off with.

Hope you like my dancer - I'd love to know what you think

Hello you....

Popping up to say "hi" that's what I imagine this little cute mouse is doing.   I've coloured Nova from SheepSki Designs (yes that me, she's one of my new digis :D) with Copics.  I've also added a little black polychromos pencil to add some shading.
The edges of the image have been distressed with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink before mounting her onto some brown design paper.

The design papers I've used here are form Lili of the Valley and Wild Rose Studio.

The Hello you sentiment come with the stamp.  This has also been distressed with the same ink.  I've cu the sentiment out with a Spellbinders die and used some of the left over design paper for it's border.

Added embellishments are some brown gems, a tiny pink heart from Paperchase and some pink and white hortensias from Live and Love Crafts.

Happy weekend

Lil Imp

A new month and a new sponsor at Outlawz Sketch team.  This month we're sponsored by Aurora Wings.  Mitzi's images are just amazing.  there's so much detail in every image.

This is the first time I've coloured up one of her sprites, this one is called Wild Rose Sprite.
All the wild roses I've seen are very pale colours so I've done this one in very pale pink using ProMarkers.

I've cut the image out using a Spellbinders die and edged it with pink ProMarker.
This is our sketch this week

I've flipped it on its side.  The design paper is from Crafters Companion Signature Collection and Lili of the Valley.

I've tried to keep to the sketch today.  I've and tied some pale pink organza ribbon with some twine and a silver flower charm.  The embriodered  ribbon has been in my stash forever and I can't remember where I got it from.  The final embellishment are two pale pink gems.

Hope you like my inspiration for today and come join us at the challenge
