Spots Bows n Orange

Can you believe this is the last challenge at the Outlawz Sketch team for 2015. We're sponsored by Bugaboo this month.

The image I've used is one I won - KidzPunkyTopper which has been coloured with ProMarkers and Copics.

Here's our sketch for this week

I used some black and orange card stock and design papers from Lili of the Valley and Santoro Gorjuss.  the sentiment is also from a Lili of the Valley art pad and it's been coloured with ProMarkers.

The orange organza ribbon and gems were from my stash.

Something a little different seen as we're all on Christmas overload :D

Stripes

Hope you're all enjoying your Christmas break :D

Today is reminder day for the current challenge at Oddball Art - Christmas or Winter.  I'm using image 153 for my inspiration for you today.  Lizzy has recently given this one away on the Facebook Group as a freebie.
I've kept him looking very zebra in black and white with a pop of red in his hat.  I've carried on this colour scheme with the rest of the card.

The image was coloured with ProMarkers and cut out with a Spellbinders die.

Design papers are all from Craftwork Cards and I've also used some red card stock.

The layout is simple with just some red gems and a Merry Christmas ribbon.

Vintage Angel

And now for something completely different.  My mother in law loves Vintage and Shaby chic.  This is the card I made for her on Christmas day morning.  Everything used here apart from the Kraft card was from either Live and Live Crafts or The Ribbon Girl.
I picked a Vintage angel image.  All the design papers and die cuts were distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink

I've used some hortensias, resin corners, a pin, some snowtext, a pearl gem and a crystal stem.

Here's a close up of the die cuts distressed with ink.

Here you can see a close up of the design paper I used on the top layer.

This is the first time I've ever decorated the inside of a card.

And here's the finished product.

I'm happy to say she loved it :D

A Little Creepmas for my Hubby

MY hubby love skulls - he has about a million t-shirts with them on :D
I decided to do him a skull Christmas card and used  an image I got a while ago from Smeared Ink called Creepmas Centrepiece.  Unfortunately Smeared Ink has now closed and I'm not sure where you can get this image now.

Now this was a bit of a rush because I made this Christmas Eve - nothing like leaving something to the last minute - but I just seemed to be running out of time fast.
The image is coloured with ProMarkers and the background with Copics.

Papers used are some black card stock and red papers from Maja Designs and UHK Gallery.

The Creepmas sentiment was made with some glitter letters.  I've also used some black gems and some red heart stickers which I got in Paperchase.

My hubby loved the card I'm glad to say - especially with the Gothis style writing I did inside :D

Calla lilies and butterflies

Can you believe it - it's Christmas Eve tomorrow?  Hope everyone is ready for it :D

This is our last post before Christmas at Outlawz Sketch Challenge.  Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo giving a whopping $21 prize!

For my inspiration for you today I've got a non- Christmas card.  I've used Lily Trio which has been coloured with ProMarkers in very subtle coloured except the butterflies which I wanted to draw the eye in to look at.

I've taken a close up of a corner so you can see better what I've done.  The butterfly you can see where is a chipboard from Scrap and Craft.  I punched it out the coloured it with ProMarkers to match the image from Bugaboo.  You can also see a close up of the flowers I've used which are hortensias (Kort and Godt) from Live and Love Crafts.

This is out sketch for you today created by Sandra as you can see she's design it as a Christmas one but a most of us in the DT have produced non-christmas cards this time.

Here's my interpretation of the sketch today.  Instead of ribbon I've used some lace from my stash.  I used some chip board shapes at the top of my card from Dusty Attic.  I've then used three lots of flowers groups instead of three Christmas baubles.

Added to this are wood chip two butterflies as I described above.

The papers are from Lemon Craft and Lili of the Valley.

So that's it folks except we'd love to see you at the challenge and have a fantastic Christmas

Reindeer lovin

I think this is the only Christmas card I've made specifically for a couple.  The image is one from Tiddy Inks called Reindeer Kisses
I've dug out my Copics for this one as I'm still not 100% confident using them and I NEED more practise.  Once coloured I've cut it out with a Spellbinders die and used some antique linen distress ink on the edges.

The design papers are all from First Edition and layered at angles.

In addition there are some red gems, a Merry Christmas sentiment ribbon from my stash, a poinsettia with some small fabric holly leaves and a red heart sticker.

It's just a girl thing....

I LOVE shoes - I may not be able to wear anything like this for more than ten minutes now but I still love shoes.  That's what comes from having knee reconstruction surgery, you tend to get used to wearing flatties - LOL!!  Such a shame when you're a tango dancer you can't wear the real deal with the shoes...

Anyway back to the image - I've seen one or two shoes around and used them on my cards but I wanted a strappy sandal.  I couldn't find one anywhere so I decided to draw one :D
Finally I've managed to gel with some digital software and start sketching - yay!!  And the result is not too shabby to say it's (mumbling under my breath) year since I've actually done any real sketching.

So here's the digi I've produced and in the picture above you can see it coloured with Copics

i wanted a clean simple design for my shoe card so I've just used some black card stock and a piece of design paper from Lili of the Valley.

The sentiment was computer generated whilst I was sizing my image for printing.

Above the word girl is a tiny rhine stone heart and I've finished the card off with a few more gems.

Hope you like my creation

The girl with antlers

I've been dying to make something with this image since Lizzy first brought it out but have only just found time - BUT - in time for Christmas :D

She's from Oddball Art, image no 257, you can get her and any of Lizzy's other images with a 10% discount if you use my discount code at checkout DTANDREA10

I've used ProMarkers to colour this one as I can achieve very soft pastel colours with them.  Once coloured I then went blank - LOL!

On one of my drives home from work I started to get an idea so when I got home I fussy cut her out ready to mount onto the card.
I wanted to make a very girly pink Christmas card so I picked some papers from Maja Designs.  The gems are from Scrap Berry's and are actually a pale brown.

The sleigh and reindeers are dress it up buttons that she's gazing up at.  This reminds me of when I was a little girl I swore I'd seen Santa's sleigh in the sky above me :D  Ahh...  the imagination of a child!

The sentiment the image is mounted over is from a Lili of the Valley Art pad and is coloured with ProMarkers.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is a chip board one from Hobby Craft that I've left in its original state as I thought i blended in but also stood out from the background.

The pink and white flowers were a final additional - another idea I had driving home from work :D
These are hortensias from Live and Love Crafts which is where you can also get the paper.

We're nearly there folks - it's beginning to look a lit like Christmas

This image is All Dressed Up for Christmas which I've coloured with ProMarkers.  I've added some white gel pen and some sparkle in the form of DecoArt glitter to the tree and the fairy wings.  I've also used the glitter on the die cut icicles (Marianne Design).

I've cut the image out and distressed the edges then mounted it onto the white card to give the whole card a clean crisp look.

The star charm with the bit of bling in it is from Live and Love Crafts and the pearl string from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The tiny purple glittery hearts are stickers I've added to compliment the colour scheme are from Paperchase.

Country Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

This little cutie is OrnamentsBW from Bugaboo our sponsors at The Outlawz Sketch Team for December.

I've coloured her with Copics and ProMarkers, cut her out with a Spellbinders die and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz antique linen.

This is the fantastic sketch Sandra has prepared for you this week

I've used papers from Lili of the Valley and even managed to use some scraps up this week - thank you Sandra :D

Instead of snowflakes I've used some poinsettias and some red and white Tim Holtz paper string to create a garland effect. The golden holly leaves are glitter wooden ones from Hobby Craft and I've used some gold gems from my stash.

We'd love to see you over at the challenge

There's something going on.....

..... shhhh!!  Us Dressy Girls at All Dressed Up are up to something again - watch out for the postings tomorrow :D

Andrea x

Game On!!

As well as being the new blog challenge day it's also new release day at Oddball Art.  This is image no 278.  Now you get a lot for you money with this one not only has Lizzy made a background scene she also has three little Oddball cuties - there's 8 files in total.

I've used two on the girls and the background in my card.  The girls I've used are the PNG files so you can layer them over the background.

The images have been coloured with Copics and ProMarkers.

I've used bright colours to make the images stand out.

The card is one layer mounted onto some black card stock to frame it.

Here it is completed.
The only things I've added are some black gems and a sentiment made out of black glitter letters.  A perfect set of images for those little tom boys, basketball lovers and sports lovers.

There are a few more examples of this new set of images - check out what my teamies have made on the main blog

Catching snowflakes

We've a brand new challenge starting on the blog at Oddball Art today the them is Christmas or Winter Holiday.

I've done quite a few Christmassy themed cards lately so I thought I'd do a winter scene for my inspiration card.  I've used Image 173 of this little cutie trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue.

She's coloured with ProMarkers and Copics and then I've fussy cut her out to mount onto the scene.

I've used one design paper from Lili of the Valey.  The snowy hills have been created using a Spellbinders die and the trees with a Marianne Crafts die.

The die cuts have been distressed with Tim Holtz antique linen ink.  I've also used some grey Copic to create some shadows and some snowex to give the card some texture.

My final additions to this card are some tiny silver snowflake beads and a couple of reindeer dress it up buttons
Hope you like my inspiration and we hope to see you over at the challenge

Mega pink birthday

It's sneaking up to Christmas and we have our new challenge over at the ABC Challenge - the last one before Christmas eeek are you all ready?

Our theme for this time is X is for Xtreme sponsored by Marianne Design and Stamp & Create.  For this challenge we'd like to see bold bright colours in your creations :D

I've chosen a Marianne Design from Don and Daisy called Pirouette.  I can't remember using my hot pink Copic much so I thought I'd use it.  If you look carefully at the image you can see I've added a little reflection into the ice, along with some DecoArt glitter.  The image has been cut out with a Spellbinders die then edged with pink and I hand cut a piece of black card to go behind it to frame it.

The design papers are from Wild Rose Studio and Lili of the Valley and I've used some black card stock.  The fancy border has been created using a Martha Stewart punch.
Added to complete the card are some black gems, a sentiment from a Lili of the Valley art pad coloured with pink and some paper flowers from my stash.

We'd love to see you over at the challenge with your bright creations

Tiddy Christmas

This has got to be the cutest girl reindeer double I've seen.  The image is a Tiddy Inks one called Reindeer Games.
I've used Copics to colour the image and love the rich tines that they've produced.

I've kept the design clean and simple just using one design paper behind the image layer from Maja Designs.

The sentiment is a chipboard one from Hobby Craft which I've coloured with red Copic and I've finished the card off with some red gems.

Although I'm not brilliant at producing them myself yet I do love CAS cards.

Apre Ski

This fun image is from Marianne Design - Don & Daisy Winter DDS3326 in case you're looking for it.

I've coloured mine with ProMarkers then fussy cut him out.  There are some sticky dots at the top behind the image to raise him slightly to add some dimension to the card.

I ended up creating a scene for him with some mountains in the background.  These I very roughly sketched out then added a bit of grey, white gel pen and glitter to.

This is the finished card.  You can see the whole of the backdrop now.  The glitter I've used is a DecoArt loose one (and I got covered in it LOL!!)

The sign stack you can see to the right of the image is fussy cut from a piece of Christmas design paper from Craftwork Cards.  I've also used some sticky dot on the top half of this to give some dimension.

A perfect card for your budding little skiers :D

Christmas shoes :D

These beautiful Christmas shoes are an image from our current sponsor, Bugaboo at Outlawz sketch team

I've used a combination of Copics and ProMarkers to colour them with and some black polychromos pencil for extra shading.
Here's our sketch for today which I thought would be a fantastic one to do a CAS card.

The design paper is from Maja Designs.  I've added some doodles just like the sketch and used some black self adhesive gems at the corners.

I've added a sentiment to it which is made using a Spellbinders die with a little black heart gem.

We've love to see you over at Outlawz

Floating away

This image has a title which make you thing of anniversaries or Valentines - it's called Love is In The Air from All Dressed Up.  I chose it because I though it would make quite a good leaving card.  I've been using quite a few with suitcases on but am now starting to run out of ideas.

So if anyone can give me some more inspiration for leaving cards let me know - or tell people at my work to stop leaving LOL!!
The image has been coloured with ProMakers and I've sketch some clouds into the background.  I've cut the image out, distressed the edges then mounted it onto some plain white card stock.

The design papers are from Lili of the Valley.

As this card is going to be passed round work I've kept it fairly free of embellishments just adding some blue self adhesive gems.

The new job sentiment is coloured with ProMarkers and is from a Lili of the Valley art pad.
Right people at work stop leaving - LOL!!
