Beautiful new home

If you're looking for my Oddball Art blog hop post click here

I've been dying to make a new home card for a long time - today I finally managed to make one :D

I've used Wryn Heart Home from Tiddly Inks and coloured it with ProMarkers.
I wanted to keep this one very simple, so I printed it large, cut it out and distressed the edges.

I've then mounted it onto a card and done some doodling round the edge of the card and the image.

Added to this are some black gems and a New Home sentiment from a Lili of the Valley art pad coloured with ProMarkers.

At least now I'm prepared next time someone asks me for a new home card :D

Play Time

If you're looking for my Oddball Art blog hop post click here

I've made this card using image no 245 for the Lot of Layers challenge reminder - but also with the girls at work in mind.  We've a few with dogs and they'll love this.

I've coloured the image with Copics and ProMarkers, cut it out so it's slightly off centre so I could add the sentiment (from a Lili of the Valley art pad) and mounted it onto some black card stock.

The red hearts are a left over from using a La La Land banner die.

Design papers from Lili of the Valley, Docrafts and Prima Marketing have have been distressed.  I've also used some red card stock.  With finishing touches of red gems I've completed the black, white and red look.

Celebrating a new baby boy

Congratulations to Crafting Ang our fellow teamie who has just had a baby boy!!

To celebrate this Lizzy has created a special image and we're having a blog hop - woo hoo!!

Collect our letters along the way you'll need them to make up a sentence :D

I've coloured the image with ProMarkers, cut it out with a Spellbinders die and edged it with blue ProMarker.

The design papers are a combination from Maja Designs and First Edition.

The sentiment comes with the image too :D
Added extras some white satin ribbon, baby feet, silver dragonfly beads, gems and a baby charm all from my stash.

The clouds in the background were sketch with blue ProMarker (nearly forgot that bit LOL!)

My letter is H and you'll need to visit Angelique next.
Happy blog hop

Mini Rudolf

This is one of my favourite Make It Crafty Christmas images - he's Rudolf Reindeer.  He's coloured with ProMarkers and I wanted him to look a kind of warm white colour.  I've done this with a Tan ProMarker round the edges and a blending pen.
I've made him into a very simple CAS card.  The image has been square cut, edged with Tim Holtz antique linen and mounted onto some red card stock.

The card is one from my stash from last year. I got from Hobby Craft last year (I think) and is already cut so you can thread ribbon through.

The red glitter ribbon, red glitter adhesive letters and gems are all from my stash
I think he's got to be one of the cutest reindeer I've seen.

All you have to do is come to the All Dressed Up Facebook and vote for your favourite.  The winning image will be available for you to grab for free but only for 24 hours

Andrea :D

Christmas Ferns

I've tried something a bit different with this Christmas card - maybe you can tell me if you think it's ok or not.  I've used muted greens and browns as my theme rather than traditional or bright colours.

The image I've used is Aurora Woods from Ching-Chou Kuik.

It's been coloured with ProMarkers, cut out with a Spellbinders die and some antique linen ink applied at the edges to subdue the white.  I've then used another larger oval die and some black card stock to mount the image onto.

The papers are from Lili of the Valley and First Edition.

My bits of embellishments comprise of a chipboard sentiment from Hobby Craft in its natural state as I thought it went well with the card theme.  Some wooden snow flakes and gems also from Hobby Craft.

So there you go a bit different but I think it works ok

Love my poodles

This is the last challenge of the month and the last chance for you to enter the Outlawz Sketch team and be in with a chance to win some images from Sami Stamps.

The image I've picked for my inspiration for you today - shock horror is NOT a Christmas one :D This one is Fancy with my Poodles.  I've picked this one because I work for a company that helps animals with allergies and we have a lot of ladies who love and own dogs.

The image is coloured with Copics, cut out with a Spellbinders die an edged with Tim Holtz antique linen ink.

The die I used was the largest one I have of this shape so I had to draw the larger size on the backing design paper and cut it out by hand.  The papers are from Lili of the Valley, Santoro Gorjuss and First Edition.

Added to this a a sentiment from a Lili of the Valley Art pad, some flowers from Petaloo and Hobby Craft and a tiny heart charm from Hobby Craft.

Hope to see you over at the challenge

Polar winter

I'm honoured to day to be a guest designer at Crafting by Designs - the theme for this weeks challenge is Get Ready for Christmas.

I've used the Polar Bears stamp from Wild Rose Studio for my inspiration.  Coloured in subtle pastels I've edged the image with Tim Holtz antique linen ink then mounted it onto some red card stock.

Papers are from Lemoncraft and Maja Designs and I've used a little more red card stock.

The ribbon and black gems are from my stash.  The sentiment is a wood chip one from Hobby Craft that I've coloured with ProMarkers and I also got the wooden heart from there.

Thank you so much to Crafting by Designs for inviting me to be a guest designer

Washing line

After doing baby boy card I've also done a baby girl card.  I'm prepared for either event now :D

I've used a beautiful little image from All Dressed Up called My Baby Shower.  I've coloured it in very pale pastels using ProMarkers.

The image has been cut out using a Spellbinders die and edges with pink ProMarker.

In the bottom left corner I've done a small arrangement of flowers from Live and Love Crafts and Wild Orchid Crafts.

I've also added three tiny silver dragonfly beads.

The papers are from Maja Designs and I've used a sentiments coloured with ProMarker from a Lili of the Valley art pad.

Other things I've used a some lace which I got from Hobby Craft, a pearl string which was from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The tiny silver bird I found in a local shop near me called SprinkLynn Gems.

That's my baby cards done - back to Christmas now :D

PS - don't forget we've a challenge on All Dressed up Facebook - themed Spots and Stripes and an Anything Goes with an All Dressed Up image challenge on the blog

Shopping is a hobby

I love browsing round the shops with my mum on a Saturday.  So I decided it would be nice to do a shopping themed card as most girls love to shop.

The image I've used is one of the girls from All Dressed Up's Love to Shop image available on Etsy.

I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.  I then cut the same shape in black card stock and mounted it slightly offset to give the impression of a shadow.

The Design papers are from Lili of the Valley and Santoro Gorjuss.  I've kept the layout fairly simple and only used a few blue gems to embellish the card.

This is another card to give you some inspiration for our current challenge on the All Dressed Up Facebook of Spot and Stripes.

We also have an Anything Goes challenge on the blog but you must use an All Dressed Up image for it to count.

Happy Sunday

Sleeping under the stars

I'm really short of baby cards again - so when I saw this little image while I was browsing Christmas images the other day I thought it was just perfect.

The image is Sleep Tight from Tiddly Inks which I've coloured with ProMarkers.  It's been cut out with a Spellbinders die the edges with vintage photo distress ink from Tim Holtz.
I've also added some DecoArt glamour dust sprinkled onto the moon and stars.

The papers are from Maja Designs and First Edition.  All have been edged with vintage photo distress inks.

I've added a few stars and gems scattered across the card.  The wooden letters to make BABY were from a shop local to me called SprinkLynn Gems which I bought a while ago.

Right I'm prepared for someone else having a buy now :D

I'm getting too old for this

You can just image Santa after all his running round falling asleep still dressed :D

This brilliant image is from Rick St Dennis and is available of Etsy - it's called Santa Nap Time
I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and done a very simple CAS card, he had to be the centre of attention.  He's just mounted onto some red card stock and then I doodled round the edges and added four red gems at the corners.

I've recently been shopping to Hobby Craft and found some small wooden sentiments.  This one was shaped like a cloud and it made me think of speech bubbles.  So I added some more red gems to make it look like this was what Santa was dreaming of thinking as he lays on his bed exhausted.  At least I hope it's his bed LOL!!

Happy Christmas card making :D

Gentle Autumn Breeze

I'm loving the warm autumn / fall colour cards at the moment.  This latest one I've made it using is Uptown Girl Casandra no 159 from At by Mi Ran.

She's been coloured with ProMarkers, cut out with a Spellbinders die and distressed with Tim Holtz antique linen.
The design papers are layered and are from Lili of the Valley and DCWV.  I've also used some orange card stock.

The sentiment is from a Lili of the Valley Art pad which I've added a splash of colour to.

The extra embellishments are some paper flowers from The Hobby House, a small orange wooden hedgehog from HobbyCraft and some orange enamel beads.

Baubles and stars

Lizzy has just released some new Whimsy stamps last week and we got to play with them this week to give your some inspiration.  You can find them in the Lizzy Love collection

As soon as I saw this background stamp (stars and baubles) I knew what I wanted to do.

The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and then I've sprinkled lots of glitter onto the baubles.
Here's the CAS card I produced.  The design paper is a fairly plain one from Lili of the Valley.

I've doodled around the edge of the card to give it a border.

The Merry Christmas sentiment look a bit of work.  It's a woodchip one from Hobby Crafty.  At first I just tried to colour it with ProMarkers.  The colours weren't striking enough to go with the image, so, I painted it with some gesso.  Once dried I coloured it again with ProMarkers.  I had to give it a good three layers of colour but this is the result.  Also I edged it with a black artists pen - you need a VERY steady hand for that!!

Hope my CAS card has given you a bit of inspiration today

Winter warm love

We've a perfect sketch for you today at the Outlawz Sketch team for Christmas or a Winter Birthday

I've used Warm Love from our Sponsors Sami Stamps to go with this sketch.  Coloured with ProMarkers, I've just framed the image with some black card stock.

There's just one design paper from Lili of the Valley to give a frosty look background and I've also used some white and red card stock.

The dies are Spellbinders and Marianne Design ones.

Added extras are some glitter sprinkled onto the icicles, some snowtex and a white poinseitta.

By the way it was a happy accident that the snowtex ended up in the same hilly shape as the die behind it - I've only just noticed it now :D

Love for you to join us

B is for BEAR!

B is for Bear is a beautiful image from All Dressed Up available from Etsy which I've used as my inspiration for you today for the new Challenge No 45.

I've coloured it with ProMarkers and added some black polychromos pencil for extra shading.

I've also added some tiny baby feet to the card which are Dress It Up Buttons and some blue pearlised gems to stick with the boy theme.
All the design papers have been distressed and are from Maja Design.  There's also a bit of left over scrap paper (not sure where this bits from).

The sentiment is from a Lili of the Valley Art pad which I've coloured wit ProMarker and to compliment the colours in the card I've also added some light brown pearlised gems.

There's lot more inspiration to be seen on the All Dressed Facebook page where we also have themed challenges (Spots and / or Stripes is the current one) - shhh.... not many people are enter these at the moment so you'll have a good chance on winning.

I'm also regularly pinning onto the All Dressed Up PInterest page.  All the DT's inspiration so you can see loads of creations there.

Snow fun...

We've a new challenge starting at Oddball Art today and our theme is Lots of Layers.

The image I've used is a recent one produced by Lizzy and is perfect for Christmas cards.  It's number 263 on Etsy where you can also get 10% discount by using my code DTANDREA10 :D

I've coloured the image with Copics and ProMarkers.

The design papers are from Lili of the Valley from one of their Christmas pads.  All the papers have been distressed with Tim Holtz antique linen.  I've also used the same ink on the image and the trees.
I've used three dies for this card.  One for the image which is a Spellbinders one and two Marianne Design dies for the trees and icicle.

I've finished the card off with some glitter sprinkled onto the icicles, some snowtext and three tiny pom poms for extra snowballs.

We'd love to see you over at the challenge and there's much more inspiration to be seen on our Facebook group where Lizzy gives freebies away :D

Little wolf pup

This beautiful image, Not Exactly a Big Bad Wolf, is from The Paper Shelter our sponsors at The ABC Challenge today.  Out theme this time is V is for Violet so we'd like to see some purple in your creations.

I've coloured mine with ProMarkers and added some embossing enamel to look like snow.
I've used one design paper from Lili of the Valley.  The other was created by colouring patches of purples onto some card stock and then using a dropper to drop water spots onto it. The paper was then dried with a heat gun - but not completely.  I've discovered if you cut it when it's still slightly wet it give a lovely torn distressed look to the card.

Apart from some purple pearlised gems I've used three different dies to complete the card.  The hilly snow and the cascade of stars for snow were Spellbinders dies and the corner snowflake piece was a memory box die.

Hope to see you at the challenge

All Dressed Up Birthday Freebie extra

If you're looking for my All Dressed Up blog hop post click here

This is your last chance to get this image as a freebie.  The offer is still there until 14 November on the All Dressed Up blog - but you'll have to be quick as it'll be taken down after that.  You'll still be able to get her after that of course but you'll have to buy her on Etsy.

This is the second time I've coloured her up for your inspiration.  I decided to do her monochrome with a pop of red.  I've used Copics and ProMarkers to do this.  Once I've coloured and cut her out I mounted her onto some black and red card stock.  I felt like she was looking a bit bear though so I did some doodling around the edges.

The design papers I've picked for this card are from Docrafts and Craftwork Cards.  I've also used some more black and red card stock.

The banner was made using a LaLa Land die and I've used one of the hearts I punched out to the left of the image.

the sentiment is from a Lili of the Valley art pad and my finishing touch are some tiny red self adhesive gems on the banner.

I've done this card so I can use it as some more inspiration fro out current Facebook challenge which is Spots and Stripes and don't forget we've the Anything Goes with a All Dressed Up image challenge on the blog :D

Christmas stockings

If you're looking for my All Dressed Up blog hop post click here

I'm honoured today to be a guest designer at Scrapping4Fun.  The challenge for the next fortnight is Traditional Christmas Colours

Here's photo for your inspiration

I've not really got going properly with my Christmas cards yet so this was a good opportunity for me to make one :D

I was very luck to have won some stamps recently from Wild Rose Studio - the one I've picked to use today is Owls on Branch.  They've been coloured with a combination of Copics and ProMarkers.  The image cut out with a Spellbinders die has been distressed with Tim Holtz antique linen ink.

This was a great layout I picked to use as it gave me chance to use up some of those off cuts I've been hoarding!  The design papers being from Craftwork Cards and Lili of the Valley.

I've added a wooden heart with a Happy Christmas sentiment and some red ribbon with a hand tied bow, some paper string which came all the way from Dorinda in the USA last year and a brass Christmas stocking which came from Live and Love Crafts.

Hope you like my traditional Christmas inspiration

Excited snowman

If you're looking for my All Dressed Up blog hop challenge post click here

Have you ever seen such an excited snowman :D

This image is from All Dressed Up is called Its Snowing and is a little extra DT inspiration for you this month.

I've created a CAS card and cropped the image - two thing that are very not me!  But you have to give these things a go.

I've coloured my snowman with ProMarkers, added some glitter to his snowflakes and some red heart buttons that I've had forever.

He's mounted onto some stripy paper from Craftwork Cards that I got mmmmm.... about 18 months ago I think from when I started crafting!  Might not be old to some of you guys but it's old to me :D
I'll hopefully be giving you much more Christmas card inspiration - if I get my act together - LOL!!

Fancy dress party

If you're looking for my All Dressed Up blog hop challenge post click here

Last chance to make a creation for our Halloween or Harvest post for the Oddball Art blog challenge - there's few days before it closes.

As a bit of extra DT inspiration I've combined two images for you number 78 and image 92.  Available on Etsy you can get 10% discount by using my code DTANDREA10 :D
The images have been coloured with Copics and I've added a little biro.  I've coloured them in a monochromatic style but added a slight tough of colour with a bright green ProMarker.

I've kept the card very simple to showcase the images and colouring.  The papers used a black card stock and some green from Lili of the Valley.

The party sentiment was made up from some black glitter letter which I got from Hobbycraft
