Pink Butterfly Elf

I found this Make it Crafty stamp Elven Samenah at Quixotic Paperie.  She looks kind of SteamPunk so I wan't quite sure which way to go.

As In The Pink have challenge #51 on at the moment which is Pink Faries and Elves I thought I'd have a go at doing her pink and enter her.  I coloured the image with Pro-Lite Markers.

Papers were from First Edition Rose Garden, Lili of the Valley and NitWits Collections - Solids - Bonnets and Bowties and Solids - Always and Forever.

Embellishments are two types of silver metal butterflies some paper flowers and self adhesive pearl gems.

Happy Friday everyone!

Fishing with Stars

So I had a bit of a hard choice for my last entry to the Lili of the Valley Ideas to Inspire Challenge Christmas in August.  My hubby loved this one when I showed him it so I decided to enter it, even though I had plenty more to choose from.

I adore penguins, I love their intelligence and they are so cute, particularly depicted in this stamp Fishing Buddies.  I coloured the stamp with Pro-Lite Markers and the falling snow was highlighted with DecoArt Twinkles Writer
The papers are from First Edition Gilded Winter, Lili of the Valley and NitWit Collections Snow Princess and Solids Snow Princess .  I've also used some plain dark red card.
Extra embellishments are silver snowflake beads, self adhesive gems and a Warmest Wishes sentiment.

I'll still be making plenty of Christmas cards over cards next few months so will post a few more of our top choices x

Baby boom!

We seems to be having a bit of a baby boom a work.  A couple of months ago I had a run on requests to make baby girl cards.

Flavour of this month seems to be baby boys with our latest being Davinia's baby boy Leo.  I won't write the rest as its a huge name (probably about 6 names) with her and him being Spanish.

For the girl card I used the All Our Dreams stamp coloured with Pro-Lite Markers
The papers were from First Edition Rose Garden and Santoro's Gorjuss Neutrals
The flowers were made with three different colours of pink paper using two different sized flower punches and embellished with self adhesive gems
I also added a tag edged in pink with a couple of tiny pink feet from Dress it Up Ten Tiny Toes and tied some ribbon through
And finished the card off with some small brass butterflies

For the boy card I used the Just Arrived stamp coloured with Pro-Lite Markers
The papers were from First Edition Rose Garden and Lili of the Valley & NitWit Collections Winter Wishes
The shoes are from the Girls Shoes but I coloured them blue :)
The extra embellishments are a wooden star and wooden letters which I found in a local shop near me called Sprinklynn Gems

Hope you like them x

Candle Light

This was the first Christmas card I made this year.
I've already had a couple of people asking if they could have him, both for people who love bunnies.
My mum talked me into buying this Lili of the Valley stamp last year, it took a lot of arm twisting - NOT!

The image was coloured using Pro-Lite Markers
Papers are from NitWits Collections - 'Twas the Night  and Festive Trimmings
The ribbon is from Lili of the Valley Little Bag of Ribbons - Christmas
Extra embellishments are a wooden star, holly, self adhesive gems and a red Merry Christmas ribbon sentiment

Let it Snow

I saw this stamp from Lili of the Valley and couldn't resist.  I wanted a stamp I could use to create a Christmas card for my hubby.
This is my first attempt using it and I'll do something in secret later for his!  I may not use this stamp though in case he looks at my blog ;)

Stamp - Winter Walk
The image was cut using a BigShot Machine and Spell Binders Nestabilities Scalloped Circles
I've coloured the stamp using Pro-Lite markers
The papers are from Santoro's Simply Gorjuss Neutrals, and Lili of the Valley's Frosty Christmas
I've got a double layer of ribbons behind the picture which are from Lili of the Valley's Little Bag of Ribbons - Blue
There's a small tag in the corner stamped with one of the Christmas Greeting's Small.  Added to this is a silver metal snowflake embellishment and ribbon
Extra embellishments are plain wooden trees, hears and silver self adhesive gems.

I've entered this one into the Lili of the Valley Monthly Challenge - Christmas in August and the Papertake Weekly Challenge

Happy Bank holiday weekend all x

Roni's Leaving Card

So today was Roni's last day at work.

My boss couldn't fine a suitable leaving card - they were all too sloppy, too cheeky or ones she might have taken the wrong way.

So I volunteered to make one.  A huge challenge as we wanted to have a large card for everyone to sign in the company.

I decided to use one of Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls stamps - Victoria and Juliette's night out.  The stamp was coloured using Pro-Lite markers.
Backing paper was an A4 sheet of Pearlised papers.  On top of this I used two sheets from Lili of the Valley & Raspberry Road Designs - Baskets and Bunnies cut at an angle.
Ribbon was from Lili of the Valley's Little Bag of Ribbon - Purple.
For the writing I used black and purple felt adhesive letters I'd picked up from Hobby Craft.
Additional embellishments silver metal corners, some Hobby Craft 3D flower toppers and self adhesive gems.

Overall I was very happy with the way it turned out.
Hope you like it too x

Waiting for Santa

Evening all

After a brief break from Christmas cards, I've got back to it - seen as I need to make at least thirty cards for hubby and me.
I also have some friends requested I make some for them too.

This one was inspired by Lili of the Valley's post from Saturday.
Dawny had used an art pad image that was NOT in my normal Christmas colours (at the moment red and green).

I love this stamp - Christmas Eve Girl.  I've coloured it with Pro-Lite markers.
Papers are from NitWit Solids - Always and Forever and On a High Note and First Edition - Rose Garden
There was a post card stamped with a sentiment from Lili of the Valley's Christmas Greetings - Small and highlighted with a Pro-Lite Marker
Extra embellishments are a silver snow flake, small wooden reindeer, laser cut Christmas tree, bear button and self adhesive.
I've entered this card into the following blog competitions
Lili of the Valley Monthly Challenge - Christmas in August
Winter Wonderland Challenge Blog - Anything Goes for Christmas

Hope you like it

The image was coloured using Pro-Lite markers
The snow effect DecoArt Americana Writer - white/blanc

Early Valentine

Early Valentine? I've had a few people at work tell me this would be a good one for that. However, it seems to be very popular already and I've had to make a few.

I used red and card white card stock overlying each other. Partial jigsaw blanks with red glitter letters to spell LOVE. The red heart is a wooden embellishment I bought last week

Hope you like it x

After much faffing about I finally managed to work out what I was doing and now have a blog. Hubby's gone to bed - snoring his head off while I do a quick post.
